I’ve binge watched for 2 days as I’m ill. I never tire of it. I have one niggle: about Pete and Dawn’s children. Why do they look so young in the vow renewal scene? If they were that young, they’d have been round at Pam and Mick’s all the time too.

Was a bit weird yesterday seeing Pam Ferris in G and S followed by Matilda.

My favourite characters are Ness and Bryn. I like Ness the way I liked Father Jack. Every single thing they say is funny and you just want to hear more.

Binge watched the entire 3rd series today because of this thread.
It’s just wonderful and so well written. So many little bits I’d missed or forgotten.

I had forgotten how wonderful Mick and Pam were. If only I've had parents like Mick and Pam, imagine what hights I might have conquered in my youth.

I also think Larry Lamb is lush and I can't believe Alison Steadman was in her early 60's when the series was filmed. She looked so good!

Inspired by this thread I binged S1 and 2 for the first time in years, but discovered to my horror that I somehow don't have S3!

I defo think in the following couple of years Smithy has moved to wales. Why wouldn’t he? The love of his life (Gavin) and his son are there. I think Nessa is renting a little terrace on Gwens street and getting on well co parenting with him, they have a little spark of chemistry and compatibility (iron bru anyone?) but need to get over the fact they find each other disgusting for it to go further.

Gavin and Stacey and their baby girl (in my head) live in a 70s semi a few minutes walk away and Mick is winding his business up so that Pam and Mick can move to the island too ( they are looking at those new builds just by the speed bumps as you come into Barry)

I think that Smithy would move to Barry and to his and everyone’s surprise, meet the love of his life (not Nessa). By this time he’ll have matured and Nessa will be pleased for him (fair play).

He's definitely gay! The page 3 photo was for when the lads were staying the weekend - remember, the mini burgers and bottles of beer etc he got in for them

Bryn watched Brokeback Mountain 3 times in 2 days. Also he puts his hands on Gavin’s face every time he hugs him.

I feel a bit sorry for Gavin actually! Bryn is constantly touching him, Doris hits on him several times and then when he tries to be friendly and give Nessa a hug after the wedding she makes out he’s being inappropriate!

helipad excuse my crap knowledge of Welsh geography but how far is Barry Island from Swansea. Dd has applied to Swansea university and will probably go to an offer holders' day. Thought I would pop along too!

Just re-watching again and noticed for the first time in Season 2 when they go to the hospital for the first scan the patient before Nessa is called Ruth James!!!

It's nearer to Cardiff. My DD lived nearby in St Athan when her DH was in the RAF. They used to take their dog to the beach at Barry Island every evening.

We rewatched the hen party last weekend and noticed for the first time that after the part with Stacey’s stripper that Ness had cream round her mouth! 😳

In the episode where Gav and Smithy race to Wales to be there for Neil's birth, the rear view mirror in the Saxo keeps disappearing and reappearing.

Has anyone notice that the lady who does the scan and the midwife who delivers Neil are the same person?

Also Marco, the guy who does the disco at G&S wedding and the guy who does the bingo looks like the same person.
