A new adventure awaits us in the New World. It's going to be savage!

Yes that is true shartsi - I am not even sure what the so-called 'carnal knowledge' consisted of either when it happened, when LJ told Jamie or when Claire told Jamie.

Did anyone watch the deleted scene I posted? It's really good! Smile

shartsi · 16/04/2020 15:45

@mytholmrod , I have watched it. It is such a great scene, they should have kept it. I guess maybe at the time they didn't know that Murtagh would be kept alive.

Mytholmroyd · 16/04/2020 16:30

It is! I wonder where it is from - it isnt included in my dvd deleted scenes - only came across it last week by accident. Makes me wonder how much great footage they are sitting on - we need an Outlander uncut!

Traviis · 16/04/2020 16:49

Grin thanks @quirkychick.

I think I ended up getting banned for saying that Americans' take on Scotland was not always accurate and sometimes verged on the offensive. It was the final straw for them.

Traviis · 16/04/2020 16:51

Thanks for the nudge about the extra scene - it is a good one!

Shosha1 · 17/04/2020 15:53

I follow some of the cast on Twitter. My goodness Sam Heughan sounds like he has been going through it with trolls and stalkers.
Why do people feel that they can treat others like this?

Lessstressedhemum · 17/04/2020 16:20

It's absolutely awful, isn't it. What makes people think that they have any right at all to behave like that towards another human being?

Is it because they feel they own him? Or us it that they are just despicable people anyway and latched on to him to take their spite out on.

Mytholmroyd · 17/04/2020 16:43

I saw that Sad i don't understand why people do it - I mean, I have a huge secret crush on Jamie Fraser but I would be ever so slightly embarrassed about admitting it to anyone in real life or appearing creepily invested Blush

Sam seems like a genuinely humble and decent guy who does a lot of charity work - must be horrible having to deal with such intrusions into your personal life.

I would HATE to be famous in this world we live in - I cannot understand why anyone would deliberately seek fame but I guess it's part and parcel of certain careers.

Shosha1 · 17/04/2020 18:16

@Mytholmroyd I will admit, but only to you, a crush too. 😉 But mine is Richard Rankin ever since The Crimson Field.

To have to put out a statement like that he must have been pushed too far.

shartsi · 17/04/2020 19:17

Poor Sam. The trolls have it in for him. I am glad he is getting a lot of support. Trolls are just evil bullies.

quirkychick · 17/04/2020 20:42

I saw that too. I suppose proper full on fanatics can attract some people who are mentally unbalanced. Sad

.

Duckingell · 18/04/2020 19:43

Just catching up with this latest episode.

Poor Roger.

Duckingell · 18/04/2020 20:10

What happened to Ian's wife ? He didn't explain - unless I missed that bit?

Mytholmroyd · 18/04/2020 22:15

No it wasn't explained Duckingell

Mytholmroyd · 19/04/2020 13:54

@Mytholmroyd I will admit, but only to you, a crush too. 😉 But mine is Richard Rankin ever since The Crimson Field.

Only just realised Hmm that he was also in the Last Kingdom @shosha1! - my second favourite show which will go some small way to filling the impending huge Outlander hole in my life until season six

Lessstressedhemum · 20/04/2020 09:23

I ❤️ The Last Kingdom. I'm saving season 4 till Outlander is finished.

That was a brilliant episode, again. Very emotional. It's lovely to see all the family bonds. I though Sam and Richard were very strong again.

Yes - I don't cry easily at films but I was blubbing by the end - very well done I thought.

It reminded me of Culloden when he opened his eyes and said Sassenach Sad - such a beautiful face.

But lots of humour - the fair's fair harking back to the wedding was good Grin. Richard was great too.

shartsi · 20/04/2020 13:35

I thought this was a good episode for all them, great acting. I have read the books ut eve then I thought Jamie would die. Luckily the hand job brought him back 😁Blush.
This episode is in my top 5 post season one.

Traviis · 20/04/2020 13:56

Yes, I'm glad to see the magic handjob made the televised version Hmm Clare could add that to her repertoire.

Mytholmroyd · 20/04/2020 16:01

magic handjob! Shock i obviously missed something there ... Better go reread that chapter!

quirkychick · 20/04/2020 16:04

I love the Last Kingdom too Grin.

How many episodes in this Season, is next week's the last one? I agree, lots of great acting.

shartsi · 20/04/2020 17:00

3 episodes left

Shosha1 · 23/04/2020 21:11

Do you think that some of Claire's touch, come from the blue healing that Raymond had. The Native Lady said she would come into her strength when her hair was white. But maybe it helped with saving Jamie

Mytholmroyd · 24/04/2020 23:15

That is true - and her hair isn't white yet and still isnt in book 8 - no blue light though was there? I did go back and rewatch to check - several times to be sure Grin. Just love the bit where he opens his eyes and says Sassenach - my heart missed a beat!
