I remember in the books a lot of the start was discussions about how hot it was. It just went on and on.

TBH I was quite relieved that they skipped that part in episode 1.

I did find the last episode hard going. It probably won't get a rewatch before Monday. But I did start reading the Sir John spin-off books and I am already on book 2.
Really fun read.
