Well I found the sex scenes a bit boring to be honest, but overall I'm liking it.

However, I do have to ask the question.

Yellow what is the plot?

PollyFlinderz · 14/09/2018 03:29

The people who say it is boring just don’t have brain power to follow the plot!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’d be happy to have you explain it.

DolorestheNewt · 14/09/2018 09:20

Nope, PollyFlinderz, you're not alone, definitely lacking in the brain power department here, though continuing to watch

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2018 09:43

I thought last episode was this Sunday. It’s not. It’s next Sunday and I’m away. Ahhhhhhh might have to try and watch via you tube

AviatorShades · 14/09/2018 11:43

Oh! shit, shit, shit, shit, SHIT! And stamps feet...

after the 1st epi I decided to watch the remaining epis on catchup all together, cos I know I'm going to be off my feet for a while soon...
So this week's Radio Times has just been delivered - cover "WHY SHE HAD TO DIE by Bodyguard writer Jed Mercurio". SHIT and FUCKIT ShockGrin

DoryNow · 14/09/2018 14:55

ahhhhh...... thanks Aviator , well that blows that theory then!! Grin

....mind you, he has been known for his massive red herrings in the past....bastard.

Piggywaspushed · 14/09/2018 16:12

Random fact : it's Jed's birthday today.

Happy Birthday, Jed, if you are spying on us reading! Cake

'Fraid I have nothing constructive to add re plot, but am totally gripped.
Has anyone mentioned the fact that Richard Madden was a child actor? He was in a kid's series in the late 90s called 'Barmy Aunt Boomerang' with Toyah Wilcox! I vaguely remember it as I worked in kid's magazines at the time. Now I can't get the image of him as a boy out of my head when I'm trying to take David/Dave seriously!! (He really grew into his looks, no?)

My other totally random observation is how weird it is having so many BBC newsreaders playing themselves in cameo bulletins / interviews. It just makes me think that they could be telling us anything on the real news and I could believe it! Very Orwellian!

Pebble I was saying the same thing (about newsreaders) to OH when we caught up with Bodyguard last night. They do pieces for so many films & tv shows! I wonder if they get paid extra or it comes under their BBC remit if it's a BBC production.

FloralBunting · 14/09/2018 18:01

See, these are the moments I end up feeling very, very old and decidedly squicked out by seeing Richard Madden as a child in what seems to me very recent times, after thinking very saucy thoughts about him for a few weeks...

I’d been living abroad for a long time when he was that age so I don’t recall him at all but the fact I’m 60 now and he’s younger than some of my children made me stop thinking about him in his vest pretty quickly.

FloralBunting · 14/09/2018 22:01

Yeah, he's actually just under a decade younger than me, but the late 90's feels like five minutes ago.

VanGoghsDog · 14/09/2018 23:41

Theory discussed with friend - bomb was planted on the stage, briefcase was either detonator or symbol to alert someone to trigger it, so Tahir could take the blame.

MissEliza · 15/09/2018 00:30

Pebble I had the same thought about newsreaders! They're just reading anything from the TelePrompTer.

Gersemi · 15/09/2018 00:35

you can have substance without an episode being action packed.

Indeed. You surely can't be saying that the last episode was insubstantial? That would be completely bizarre.

I’m ok with being bizarre.

TweeBee · 15/09/2018 05:57

Pebble - I wondered if the newsreaders enjoy being in three programmes because if they make a mistake it doesn't matter as they can record again, unlike on the news.

TweeBee · 15/09/2018 05:58

Oops - these programmes!

Urbanbeetler · 15/09/2018 07:03

If the bomb was already under the stage then it means he failed to detect it = death of Home Secretary was his fault = not that likely as I think he is meant to emerge as the hero.

Although of course I might be wrong. 😱

Urbanbeetler · 15/09/2018 07:04

Also we wil very shortly need a new thread if op is about...?

Hooray!

Wittow · 16/09/2018 21:04

Home Sec is def not dead, I'd put money on it!

naughtymutha · 16/09/2018 23:12

I think I remember Tom asking slash Dave something after he'd confronted Taroq in the corridor before the explosion but can't remember what. Now it seems weird that he did as it was Kim that had conversation with slash Dave. Perhaps Tom was getting twitchy about anything preventing the explosion as he's definitely in on it Hmm
