Programmes that never get repeated

Every Easter I hope (in vain) that The Passion will be repeated on tv. It was in the late 1990's with Gina McKee and Paul Nichols and set in Devon, never even been released on dvdConfused. Does anyone else remember it? What other programmes have only been on once and you'd like to see again?

Watching! Had forgotten that one, was good.

Agree with Making Out, loved Margi Clarke in that and Chunky.

Eggzandbacon · 30/03/2018 17:30

Midnight Caller - oh I loved staying up late to see Gary Cole!

Oh yes, would definitely like to see Shine on Harvey Moon again and also Redcaps. Think there was a spin off series from Casualty called Holby City blue? That was good, one of the police officers in it popped up in The Crown.

Tutti Fruttii with Emma Thompson and Robbie Coltrane.

We have Blake’s 7 and Ultraviolet on DVD. And Soldier, Soldier-I loved that! Loved This Life too.

Does anyone remember a series called Attachments about a group of twenty-somethings who set up an IT company. It was really good-I think it had David Walliams in it?!

Making Out was fab. It's now on YouTube.

I remember a couple of obscure sitcoms from the 80's. Poor Little Rich Girls was about two toff cousins down on their luck who were forced to live together, and No Frills was about Kathy Staff moving in with her long-suffering adult daughter and grandchild.

Well, it's a TV film Precious Bane 1989 Janet Mcteer, Clive Owen, John Bowe.

Gems - an ITV soap about the rag trade that was on in the mid 80's for a couple of years. I used to race home from school to watch it.

People think I make this up but before Big Brother there was a programme made in Manchester. It was about a house share and there was a girl called Spider. I don’t want to see it again I just want to know it’s not a figment of my imagination.

Talking of racing home from school... Sons and Daughters was unmissable!

Australian afternoon dramas - The Sullivans, Country Practice, Flying Doctors, Young Doctors - same actors popped up in each and Neighbours/Home and Away.

Vitalogy · 30/03/2018 18:36

I don’t want to see it again I just want to know it’s not a figment of my imagination. That's how I feel about a program called Touch the Truck, can anyone remember it. Whoever was the last touching the truck/car won it.

Riff Raff Element with Celia Imrie and Greg Wise; I can hear the theme tune right now.
Also love Beiderbecke Affair, Home with The Braithwaite's, Common as Muck, and a series with Peter Davidson whose title escapes me, where he is a university GP on a horrible campus in the '80s

Gatekeeper · 30/03/2018 18:40

Would like to see the Singing Detective again

RJnomore1 · 30/03/2018 18:41

It's not your imagination Allerton

Was it called something like The Real World?

ShatnersBassoon · 30/03/2018 18:42

Eldorado - brilliant soap twaddle that I'd love to watch again.
The Richard Taylor Interviews - I cried laughing at these, Mark Dolan making people do ridiculous things.

Gatekeeper · 30/03/2018 18:42

Also loved Brass

TheDukesOfHazzard · 30/03/2018 18:43

"People think I make this up but before Big Brother there was a programme made in Manchester. It was about a house share and there was a girl called Spider. "

That sounds familiar but I can't remember any more...

southeastdweller · 30/03/2018 18:44

Allerton I used to love that BBC2 show about students in Manchester, think it was called the Living Soap?

TheDukesOfHazzard · 30/03/2018 18:44
