Programmes that never get repeated

Every Easter I hope (in vain) that The Passion will be repeated on tv. It was in the late 1990's with Gina McKee and Paul Nichols and set in Devon, never even been released on dvdConfused. Does anyone else remember it? What other programmes have only been on once and you'd like to see again?

@Becca19962014 I will have to check it out. It must be the spinoff I remember. I will at some point go a search. Thanks!

There are some episodes periodically on YouTube of the Tabitha series but it's not on region 2 DVD.

Eternal Law- fell in love with Sam West
Crime Traveller- so bad it was good
Brides of Christ- it was shown in the '90sand set in a convent in Australia
As a child growing up in the 70s, I used to love The Kids from 47A, and managed to find the first series on DVD.

Oh yes, I agree about Play for Today. And Timeslip was wonderful - it's available on DVD though.

YY to Rhoda and Agony, also Laverne and Shirley. And there's never been anything to equal That's Life.

Oh I can remember Jake's Progress! Can anyone else remember Love Hurts with Adam Faith and Zoe Wanamaker? DH and I also had a shared childhood love of this, bizarrely!

@redfairy loved the Grimleys. Love anything set in the recent past like that. Also loved that programme on recently called the Kennedys.

Ginger1982 · 06/04/2018 20:11

Ellington?

JuniLoolaPalooza · 06/04/2018 22:57

Oh wow, I remember Love Hurts! All the papers were up in arms at her sexy French maternity clothes. (I remember weird things).

My dad and I still say 'Play with me Daddy!' in a creepy way a la Jake's Progress.

Does anyone remember a musical called 'Didymus'? It was shown one Easter, around 1980 I think. It was about (of course) the disciple Thomas Didymus. I can still remember the first song, a kind of chorus that went, 'Where is Didymus, Thomas called Didymus, where has Didymus gone?' I've never come across it since, and I can't find any trace of it on the interweb.

Eggzandbacon · 07/04/2018 23:08

I’ve just seen an advert with Jane MacDonald and I want to rewatch The Cruise!

H00seRice · 02/05/2018 02:34

Real Women. It was brilliant. Michelle Collins and Pauline Quirke.
Does anyone remember The Stretford Wives? I never watched it but vaguely remember it being advertised.
BBC 2 used to be great for showing random hard hitting (sometimes one off) shows in the 90's. Usually on a sunday night. There was one about a girl who was a bully but having problems herself. She had the whole class chant "Smelly fanny!" at her victim. It was the talk of school for the next month or so. Grin
