Programmes that never get repeated

Every Easter I hope (in vain) that The Passion will be repeated on tv. It was in the late 1990's with Gina McKee and Paul Nichols and set in Devon, never even been released on dvdConfused. Does anyone else remember it? What other programmes have only been on once and you'd like to see again?

Pyschos is on All4 whoever wanted it?

I’d like to see early Casualty from the beginning again
And that series about the holiday reps? Heat Stroke?

Campion not currently being shown, but worth keeping an eye out for, thanks Twogoround

There was also a brilliant 4 part programme by Natalia Makarova called Ballerina - it was on in the mid-80s and I had it on video and must have watched it hundreds of times. I had a good look for it online a while ago, managed to find a dubbed French version of one episode on You Tube but that was it. Would love that to be re-released.

I remember The House of Eliott being repeated 9 years ago - I think it was UK Drama or Yesterday. Definitely Freeview. I spent the first few weeks of feeding my son rewatching all the episodes.

Ooh, Shine on Harvey Moon! A couple of years ago we were sat next to Kenneth Cranham in a restaurant and when my mum & I finally worked out where we knew him from we almost shouted out Shine on Harvey Moon! V. uncool!!
Have never seen Capital City repeated but wonder if it would be far too dated?

OutsideContextProblem · 30/03/2018 15:26

London Live showed House of Elliot last year - they might do it again.

There was a series in about 1993-ish called The Riff Raff Element. It had a young Greg Wise in it, teenage me loved him. It was quite funny, IIRC, I watched with my parents.

It's never been repeated and no-one else remembers it!

The utterly brilliant Ambassadors on BBC. Only the three pilot episodes were made - rumour has it that the FCO put the kibosh on it. It was scarily accurate Grin

LIZS · 30/03/2018 15:47

Watching

Lemond1fficult · 30/03/2018 15:49

Fay Weldon's 'Growing Rich'. Martin Kemp plays the devil/chauffeur, tempting 3 poor girls into sin in exchange for wealth and beauty. I absolutely loved it as a kid. Defo wasn't age-appropriate. Grin

LIZS · 30/03/2018 15:56

There was a series with Neil Dudgeon as a chaffeur to an older lady, a gentile whodunnit similar to Rosemary and Thyme. Anyone remember it?

TheDukesOfHazzard · 30/03/2018 15:57

AmysTiara · 30/03/2018 15:58

I came on to say The Secret Life Of Us. Can't believe someone has mentioned it. I never knew anyone who watched it.

I think Game On is on Drama or UK Gold.

TheDukesOfHazzard · 30/03/2018 15:59

single is in a box in the spare room Grin along with "lets go all the way" by sly fox lol

LIZS · 30/03/2018 16:01

@AmysTiara and @prampushingdownthehighst - the secret life of us is one of my all-time favourite programmes! I was obsessed with it, and have a lot of it on DVD (paid wayyyy too much for some series' on ebay years ago....). Love it!!!!

RulaLenskasHair · 30/03/2018 16:11

teddycat A Bit Of A Do has been repeated recently.**

TrashPanda · 30/03/2018 16:15

There are 3 made for TV type films that I remember. The Greatest Store in the World and Flint Street Nativity were both shown over Christmas 98 I think and I've never seen them shown again. We recorded them on VHS and used to watch them all the time but don't have a tape player anymore. The other one was called Watermelon and had Anna Friel and Jamie Draven in it I think.

Animalarium · 30/03/2018 16:31

Watching and Making Out

rugbychick1 · 30/03/2018 16:53

Midnight Caller. Loved the show. Can't find it on DVD, amazon prime or Netflix. Starred Gary Cole. Always ended each episode with " goodnight America, wherever you are"
