Andylion I really did! He would have livened things up Grin

YY KateMiddletonsOtherMum and anything that can be made into a vague vowel sound rather than be pronounced will be, see shaas (showers) and lers (layers).

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/01/2018 17:23

A vowel? You mean a 'varl'.

Not confirmed but her reps would have denied it if she's not going ahead. Maybe she's still negotiating, though.

Vanessa Kirby has pretty much confirmed it today:

Have decided to rewatch from beginning of S1. Lord alive, I love Greg Wise as Mountbatten.

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/01/2018 22:17

I've loved him since Sense and Sensibility. Willoughby is written as a cad but he made it seem like he regretted leading Marianne on and really did feel something for her. Lucky Emma Thompson!

southeastdweller · 14/01/2018 22:38

I guess he won't be in the new season, will he? If the others are changing. The aftermath of Mountbatten's murder should be powerful viewing as Philip and Charles were very close to him.

Don’t know. I doubt they will recast everyone, eg Alex Jennings as D of W, so he might stay, go a bit greyer, then be killed.

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/01/2018 22:54

I wonder if the next series will pick up immediately where season 2 left off or jump forward? I think jumping to the 70s would be best as it could then cover the Mountbatten assassination, attempted kidnap of princess Anne and Michael Fagan breaking into the Queens bedroom.

Princess Anne herself gives to Parky.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 15/01/2018 07:01

I hope they’re recasting the Queen Mother at least: she’s already 16 years too young.

KateMiddletonsOtherMum · 15/01/2018 09:11

Ectuully, a "vowel" is prehnunced vile 👂

mommybunny · 15/01/2018 13:13

Last night, as I lay awake in the middle of a horrendous series of night sweats, I started giving some thought to casting series 3, bearing in mind that Olivia Colman as the Queen and (probably) Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret have already been announced.

Because I don't want to go off-topic on this thread (which is, after all, a thread about series 2, which I enjoyed tremendously), I'm going to start another thread stating my ideas and seeking those of others. Please join me!

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/01/2018 13:16

I'm in mommy, let us have the link once the thread is up and running!

AlistairAppletonssexyscarf · 12/03/2018 16:13

I don't know how reliable the information is but I've just heard that Philip will be be played by Hugh Laurie in the next series.

Tigresswoods · 13/03/2018 22:38

Source?

MissEliza · 13/03/2018 22:53

I've just read on Twitter that Matt Smith got paid more than Clare Foy. Disgusting.

AlistairAppletonssexyscarf · 14/03/2018 06:55

Tigress, a friend told me. I think she read it in the Mail, as that's where most of her showbiz gossip comes from (like who has been flaunting their curves this week). I like the idea so I decided to try to believe this one!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 08/07/2018 21:15

Just resurrecting this thread and am binge watching. Up to episode 9 and Charles at Gordonstoun. Elizabeth being blackmailed into keeping Charles at Gordonstoun, by Philip, was horrible.

My favourite episode was the one with Jackie Kennedy.

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/07/2018 07:44

More casting announcements. They've got the right ears for Charles!

I love the Crown - and I love love Josh O'Connor. Really hope this is the big break he deserves.
Makes up for Olivia Coleman casting lol.
