Surely Phelan will have to get his comeuppance by Christmas?

Mind you, I hope Anna gets sent to prison too.

Don't think Seb was burning anything, wasn't he trying to see what Pat had been burning?

4forksake · 09/01/2018 11:14

Does anyone else think Seb is next on Phelan's hit list. Maybe that'll be his downfall & where he finally gets caught.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 09/01/2018 11:18

Tortoise looking! 😂😂😂 smeaton I love your posts in this thread!

I was also confused about what sev was burning but I think he was just having a poke around the barrel that pat was burning earlier in. Sometimes those fires can take a few hours to burn down.

I have decided we should have a MN soap. We are all so much better writers than all the current soaps have. We would win all the awards! Grin

I’ll be the Fred. I’m used to bloody repeating myself

Why does everyone always take on lodgers when they have a 2 bedroom house already full of people? Where is Sean going to sleep at Tyrones house? And why has he been on the street for 14 years but never got his own place?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 09/01/2018 12:14

Sean is such a horrible character. He serves no purpose other than making dippy remarks. Phelan needs to bump him off. And yes, why has he never got himself a flat of his own?

Housewife2010 · 09/01/2018 13:20

I loved Rosie & Sophie's exchange last night when Rosie got PHDs and GHDs mixed up.

millimat · 09/01/2018 14:16

How is it that I agree, moan about how bad corrie is, yet I still cried over all that with luke? Confused

Grunkalunka · 09/01/2018 14:16

I thought Sean would be back in Eileen's front room given their chat in the cafe a few episodes back. Jude and Angie have no right to ask Sean to leave. Surely Sean can work a computer - he had to use one in the medical centre and used to talk about going on t'internet when he was stitching in the factory. Sean must be minted he has had 2 jobs on the go for many many years and is the keeper of Betty's hotpot recipe.

I think Ty supposedly has a spare front room for lodgers - Luke and Derek Griffiths lived there.

crazycatgal · 09/01/2018 14:18

@Grunkalunka Does Eileen have a downstairs bedroom? The amount of people living in her house confuses me.

Was it actually Jude and Angie that asked Sean to leave and not Mary?

millimat · 09/01/2018 14:30

Would Tyrone really need to tell the girls so soon?
What was sinead wearing Hmm?

Grunkalunka · 09/01/2018 15:33

We never seem to see the front rooms but some houses seem to magically sprout them as needed. Sean iirc had the front room and Jason and Todd an upstairs room (they shared as teens)as did Eileen. I think Shona had the front room when Sean moved out.

Ken also has had a front room to use as a bedroom as does Tyrone. However, where they all sleep in Maria's, the Platts, Dev's and even Kevin's at one point (Anna, Faye, Jack, Sophie and Rosie) is beyond me. Originally they were two up two downs but all seem to be 4 bed these days.

Some houses were larger than others in the old days on it.

StopTheRoundabout · 09/01/2018 15:48

What was Sophie wearing? She's giving Toyah a good run for her money with her recent outfits Grin

GrooovyLass · 09/01/2018 15:57

millimat because Luke was the only decent totty on The Street?

scrabbler3 · 09/01/2018 16:10

If the police had identified Luke's parents, they would have identified his workplace too. It's very easy to ascertain that detail. CS writers are very poor when it comes to those small details.

I thought that the scene between Billy and Phelan was strong, both in terms of the writing and the dialogue. Top marks to the makeup team too - Billy's "ill face"was very good.

Did we ever find out what was wrong with Baby George?

Not sure if I missed it, or its all been forgotten about Confused

crazycatgal · 09/01/2018 16:21

@AppleTrayBake I think he has a fructose allergy? Didn't see how it was all figured out but it was mentioned the other night.

lizzieoak · 09/01/2018 16:43

Another thing about Luke’s character was that he came across as strong and sensible. I’m struggling to think of a character like him: no addiction issues, clever, moral, not a drama llama. Besides being nice to look at, I’ll miss that on the street - he was sensible and that is in extremely short supply on the Street. Kind of a Roy, but handsome and with social intelligence.

LineysRunt · 09/01/2018 17:03

See you on the other thread.

woodhill · 09/01/2018 17:22

Phelan is like a Tom and Jerry character as his injuries mysteriously vanish like his grazed Head on Friday.
