I hope Luke got out, I really like his character but he is underused so it would good to see him finally have a storyline. I hoped that Pat would have driven off before shooting again and the car exploding and Luke had dash cam evidence. I hope it isn't dragged on much longer.

Nobody else watched the Phelan/Luke car chase whilst singing Psycho Pat to the tune of Postman Pat? I may have played fast and loose with the rhyme.

I thought Luke was supposed to be a racing driver in his past if I remember the storyline correctly, He was forced to enter a race to stop his sister Steph’s ex boyfriend putting up nude pictures of her online, so why then could he not, in his decent car, out run postman pats van??

Yes Seb had zero motive at all! He wasn’t even known to Andy and Vinny. The only thing phelan has done by putting Seb’s prints on the gun is make a connection between the bodies and himself because he was known by everyone to be Vinnys mate and andy’s landlord. The only way Seb could have had anything to do with them is via phelan.

Yeah Billy surviving the fall was ridiculous. There were two things that could have broken his fall:

That’s not true crazycat. It’s common for jaggedy rock pits to have those chipped foam sections at the bottom, like in a gymnastics area. They didn’t mention landing the airlift because Billy bounced up to the chopper.

Last night's episode was awful. It's so lazy just killing characters off. Everyone seems to be in and out of prison or hospital at the moment - too many dramatic storylines going on at the same time.

It's beyond ridiculous how much Phelan has got away with. He needs to get caught asap!

Eastenders and Corrie have turned to shit, and have few redeeming features left as 'continuing dramas'. Same with Holby City. It's like a disease sweeping across the genre. I don't know if a particular crop of producers are to blame, but it's noticeable and really quite irritating how 'fresh' writers are actually producing a load of old hackneyed stereotypes.

Mark Gatiss looks like a Nobel Laureate compared to most of the writers of British continuing dramas at the moment.

I have to watch it because dh has been watching it all his life and won't stop! We enjoy picking holes in it as we watch it together, but part of me thinks is rather watch something better when there's so much quality tv around.

It's terrible. The cast is too big, there are too many weekly episodes, and the storylines are absurd. The actors are pretty good and do their best with poor scripts.

Bill Podmore said that he felt the cast had got too big when it hit nearly 30 core characters in the late 1980s. Goodness knows what he'd think now - there are probably nearly 30 characters in the "young adult" age range alone!

I like the Luke actor but he has been woefully underused in Corrie so I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves. Do you think they have brought Sean back in to give him a temporary exit storyline for Dancing on Ice ? Totally unnecessary of course, as he has hardly had any lines or a story this year. Maria has spent longer off screens of late than she did in prison.

This could have worked if Luke had secretly escaped and led to Phelan's capture. The actor wanted to leave but he could have left after Phelan's capture (and had some juicy scenes giving evidence). Luke was a good character/actor and should have been used more.

nah i think he's dead. like I said. his legs were stuck from the impact.of the crash and crushed front of the car. so he couldn't get out.
