I really like Luke and wish he survived but I think it's really unlikely. Aside from the fact that he appeared to be trapped in the car, Phelan would have checked the body was there. He took the time to wash his van and clean himself up before he went home, it would be silly if he didn't at least look into the car. It is soapland though so you never know.

The problem with coronation street is that there are lots of actors but storylines always revolve around the same characters so no wonder people want to leave.

If you aren't Peter, Leanne, Tracey, Michelle, Carla, Steve, David etc then I can see how you would get frustrated by lack of storylines.

I know it says no spoilers but every newspaper and magazine have been trumpeting that upcoming storyline, so how can anyone not know it?

Quite shocked by the explosion as it looked like Luke wouldn't be able to get out so I assume he was burnt alive. But then I assumed Billy was dead after that fall so who knows.

I really don't know what Zeedan and Kate see in Rana, she's not very likeable. Guessing Kate will now go off with Sophie.

If Luke is dead then it gives Alya a chance to look even more miserable than usual. You could plant potatoes in that furrowed brow of hers.

Unless you see the corpse you can never be really sure anyone's dead in a soap though, so I'm waiting for DNA evidence.

It doesn't matter if spoilers have been in the papers - they are still spoilers and there are spoiler threads available on which to discuss them.

Right I'm sorry about the spoiler - I thought that it didn't count because I've seen it mentioned all over the internet.

You can see by the rest of my posts that I haven't intentionally come on here to post a spoiler so there's no need for everyone to jump down my throat. I will try to get the post removed.

Why is phelan killing off the good characters? Why can't he polish off Sinead, Chesney, Dev, Michelle, Gary and all the other drips, that's what I want to know!

I liked Luke; I hope he managed to escape.

Luke is dead? Poor Steph. Best friend, brother and (albeit unbeknownst to her) boyfriend all dead in a matter of months. She must have broken a mirror or summat when she moved to Portugal.

I can’t bring myself to watch again after the Xmas debacle of Billy surviving that fall but I’ll tune in when Phelen’s downfall comes about.

Sorry to go back to the vegan / nail party, but why couldn't they use the upstairs living room in the Rovers? The one that I can't remember ever seeing until Liz & Steve took over. It had its own kitchen and everything !

Yeah there totally is an upstairs! Thought the same! Used to see Steve and Liz in it every now and then, used to get confused as looks different to downstairs.

Probs out of use at the moment because of this loft conversion (?!?!).

Also I swear the sofa in Eileen's house used to be in Anna's flat. Seems unlikely they would have had a nice old furniture exchange...

The upstairs living room only seemed to exist for about a year. It was massive, as big as the bar, leaving no room for the multiple bedrooms required. The downstairs living room is in the middle of Rosamund Street, so maybe the bedrooms were above that?

I remember Steve and Becky in the upstairs living room.

I think Becky took it with her when she left.

No, I think that Luke must be dead - as a PP said Phelan would have checked the car etc.

I don't know why Luke didn't tell anyone where he was going even though he suspected Phelan of foul play.

I was wondering if there was going to be a foot in the shoe that Phelan fished out of the water.

Why hasn't Eileen quizzed Pat about the insurance claim on the house Pat burnt down? She was looking forward to moving into that house,she must be wondering if it can be rebuilt with the insurance money.

Blackbunny, after mulling that over for a while, didn’t it have something to do with Phelan letting Michael die? Though how would Andy have proven that?

It was incredibly good timing for that shoe to just bob up out of the water just as phelan was there. All these months later and it chose the first time phelan goes back to resurface.

Wasn’t Andy caught filming phelan or something? I remember a laptop with footage on it and phelan found out. Was it phelan that set fire to the garage but he had set Andy up for it but Andy had footage?
