Surely Phelan will have to get his comeuppance by Christmas?

Mind you, I hope Anna gets sent to prison too.

Ohhh yes I remember now Smile eugh did not like the way he just licked his lips when looking at Seb from the window

OneMoreOne · 08/01/2018 21:00

Journalists were hilarious. "Look and sound like Manchester journalists."

Alya's hair is glorious. I want to stroke and simultaneously own it on my head.

LoveMySituation · 08/01/2018 21:03

Apparently it was the girl who plays Alya's idea for the racism storyline, and she pitched it to the bosses

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 21:08

Is going for a drink in Rovers really a reasonable response to your boyfriend being killed?!

I know! It’s so beyond ridiculous. I thought the same when Maria went to the rovers after destroying Eva and Aiden’s wedding. She’d just been publically humiliated, had her head dunked in a fountain, been outed as an adulterer infront of all her neighbours. So she goes to sulk in the very pub where they all frequent and where the bride works!!

GottaGetThisDone · 08/01/2018 21:09

It is so irritating how Phelan is always in the right place at the right time, not occasionally but a.l.w.a.y.s. There when police arrived, there when Eileen placed the flowers, there when Sebs mum was there, in the pub - (although buying 3 drinks for who?), just watching out of window when Sen was playing with the fire......as well as visiting Billy in hospital etc etc. His mouth irritates the bejezzus out of me. He HAS to get his comeuppance imminently
And really who would go away when room mate has been murdered leaving best friend to grieve alone, selfish Kate!

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 21:11

Well they didn’t do it anything close to justice. I would be furious in her shoes.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 21:14

If phelan gets anything other than a long prison sentence I will give up Corrie forever. Knowing them they will have him do a runner or getting killed somehow. Probably by poor Seb.

ShowerGel9 · 08/01/2018 21:20

I like phelan but i do agree there are holes and things areasier rushed.

I couldnt work out if Alyas acting was very good or very forced.

CoolCarrie · 08/01/2018 21:21

Kate is a selfish, self-centred bitch anyway, so her behaviour isn’t a surprise at all.

StewPots · 08/01/2018 21:28

Sorry to jump on this thread but this is bothering me...the detective who told Alya...I recognise him from maybe Brookside? Anyone got a clue if I'm right??

ShowerGel9 · 08/01/2018 21:30

stew pots your very welcome on this thread.Smile I didn't recognise him from Brookside however...

closephine85 · 08/01/2018 21:32

Stewpots, I recognised him too but couldn’t place him. I was thinking Hollyoaks (?) although haven’t watched for years so would have been from a while ago.

StewPots · 08/01/2018 21:34

Thanks guys :) ahhh maybe Hollyoaks then...he was a kid or young teen I think whenever it was ...driving me mad!
On another note... Phelan is a complete tool and I'm very close to giving up now unless this ridiculous dragged out absurd storyline gets any further. It's like banging my head against a brick wall Grin

Walkerbean16 · 08/01/2018 21:40

@stewpots he was on Hollyoaks about 10 years ago, he was a scouse college student. The actor's name is Kent Riley.

StewPots · 08/01/2018 21:50

Thanks @Walkerbean16 I googled it off that, he was Zak!! Just about remember him in there!

wagil · 08/01/2018 22:11

Not sure if I've watched too much Silent Witness, but was that the fastest post mortem in history? Would they really have been giving Luke's family details of how he died the following morning? He would have been charred remains when they found him, surely.

EachandEveryone · 09/01/2018 00:17

Bloody hell what a way to go. How many has he popped off now?

StopTheRoundabout · 09/01/2018 00:41

For the love of my sanity, please kill off Emily before she weedles her way back to the cobbles. They keep threatening suggesting she's coming back. Phelan could kill off a few more before he gets the boot..such potential for a cull..but where to begin.

Housewife2010 · 09/01/2018 05:09

How did George's parents have the right to throw Sean out of Norris' house? He shouldn't have used their laptop and mistakenly deleted their files but it is not their house. They are both so tiresome. Please shoot them Phelan ( Sean too ). Why did Kate disappear to Devon? The actress isn't appearing on Dancing on Ice. Maybe she had some private filming planned with Gareth Gates?

olliegarchy99 · 09/01/2018 07:46

Most of the acting was poorly done. The only bit I found moving was when Tyrone was sitting outside after he had told the children. Of course, Luke used to lodge with them and he worked with him.

Akire · 09/01/2018 09:27

Just ditch your job and leave because your new girlfriend not leaving her husband. Yes that’s how real World works. The Bistro will
Have no staff left.

SilenceMeansWhatAreTheyUpTo · 09/01/2018 10:03

Emily will return and look up her old friend who also happens to be Vinnie's mum. She's alive and well but a bit sad as she hasn't seen her son for some time, not since the day before he sent his nice friend to take her out for tea and cakes and arranged for a taxi to return her to the nursing home as he had a pressing appointment elsewhere. Emily makes inquiries and discovers that Vinnie was Pat's associate in the Calcutta Road flats scheme, smells a rat and, with the help of fellow super-sleuth Norris, unmasks Pat as a crook and murderer. Job done. Grin

Good point Smeaton, it's all a bit too convenient as we never really learned much about Vinnie. However, he did manage to do a flit to South America without too much trouble so maybe he was a genuine loner with no ties apart from his old mum. Just a couple of points from last night - 1) how on earth did the police identify Luke so quickly, given that any ID would have been destroyed in the fire? They clearly didn't know he worked for Kevin as they were quick to ask him how he knew Luke when they came to report the car. And 2) Seb is right to be nervous, as he's clearly the only one to have any inkling of the truth. But what was he burning at the end of the programme?
