I'm looking forward to EE- thanks for pointing it out! It was so good in the 1980s. I loved the Michelle pregnancy storyline.

Tracy chatting up Andy in the cafe - little did she know that his twin brother the father of her child one day!

The Ken/Deirdre/Wendy thing has been done brilliantly. Realistic and nuanced. I really "get" how all three are feeling.

The Derek storyline reminds me of my friend's dad, who lost his sales management job in the late 1980s. It hit him hard. I'd forgotten how bad the unemployment figures were in those days.

Young Liz is unrecognisable. Almost looks like a different actress.

Enjoyed seeing people putting up their decorations a couple of days before the big day. You rarely see that on a soap nowadays.

I think we're starting to move away from old Corrie sadly. I seem to remember it was around now that it began to lose that sense of listening in on the neighbours.

Loved the Christmas Day episode. There was no bells and whistles dramatics - just relatable stories with characters we care about.

I read that Anne Kirkbride married the actor who plays Dave Barton in real life and they were together until her death. They met on the set, so it's interesting wathcing their early scenes together!

Just watching and back then Jim McDonald hardly had a hint of an Irish accent...so he didn’t..

All the McDonald's seem to do is eat ! Poor liz is forever setting the table
