I'm glad it's not just me who fancies Martin.

sparklepops123 · 13/07/2018 20:43

You must be joking ? Martin !! 😂 you'll all be after curly next 🤔

MrsSteveMcDonald · 13/07/2018 20:51

Definitely not Curly, the closest I get there was loving the sound of Shirley's voice when she said Curly. Bloody love Northern accents

sparklepops123 · 13/07/2018 21:01

Won't admit to being Yorkshire then 😆

FatBuffoon · 14/07/2018 12:19

Martin? urgh, just noConfused

I am from Lancashire Grin

southeastdweller · 14/07/2018 13:29

I watch on YouTube and wondered if someone could clarify if the second episode yesterday was the one from October 18th 1989 where Alan Bradley got convicted then freed?

sparklepops123 · 14/07/2018 13:31

That’s what happened in 2nd episode yesterday

southeastdweller · 14/07/2018 13:54

Thanks, I looked on Corriepedia and on the 1989 calendar but wasn't sure.

SuperSuperSuper · 16/07/2018 13:27

Martin Platt/Sean Wilson definitely improved with age.

Was thinking the same thing about Siobhan Finneran today. She was quite a plain 20 year old.

The McDonalds must be imminent.

strawberrisc · 16/07/2018 13:38

Ah, Rita and Sue back together. Shame there was no Bob too!

noregretsanynore · 16/07/2018 15:13

What was the age difference between Gail and Martin. Can't be much

SuperSuperSuper · 16/07/2018 15:48

Martin had his 18th birthday in 1986 (this series re-aired last summer) so he's 20/21 now. Gail, I think is about 31/32. So not a massive gap. The fact she had two children and was his boss might have made it seem wider at the time. I think it was more unusual for the woman to be more than a few years older then, as well.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 16/07/2018 17:27

6th December @SuperSuperSuper, I can't wait! :)

SuperSuperSuper · 16/07/2018 19:21

Haha cool! Sometime in August then.

BluthsFrozenBananas · 16/07/2018 19:27

I could be wrong but I think Mavis and Derek move into one of the new houses, Rita moves into the Kabin flat and the McDonalds move into Rita’s house.

kikashi · 17/07/2018 08:50

I think the MacDonald's buy Alf's house. Some fantastic stuff coming up with Alan Bradley. I love all the outside scenes and how people actually seem to have fun! the pub is often buzzing. Sally and Kevin have parties and no one gets raped or pregnant at 13. Gail is having fun and laughing! (remember that current Corrie writers?) and not about to be murdered or conned out of savings by Martin.

As someone has pointed out the Steve first appears on Dec 6 and the famous tram car episode in Dec 8 (IIRC) - fantastic stuff!

MrsSteveMcDonald · 17/07/2018 17:21

Nice to see the in laws on today's episode

sparklepops123 · 17/07/2018 17:35

Liz sounded a lot posher than she does now!

kikashi · 18/07/2018 13:22

Has Liz had a nose job?

Kannet · 18/07/2018 14:18

Ah here's reg.

Noooooooo

BluthsFrozenBananas · 18/07/2018 15:03

I was very wrong about whose house the McDonalds buy Blush . With Reg and the McDonalds all appearing its like a new era is dawning in Corrie.

Iwantacampervan · 18/07/2018 15:41

Oh no, I am away and am missing all of this - which house do the MacDonalds move into?
Makes note...never book holiday out of the country again!

kikashi · 18/07/2018 15:56

Alf and Audrey's.

cloudyweewee · 18/07/2018 20:04

I've missed a couple of episodes and thought I'd died and gone to Heaven when I switched on this morning and saw Reg Holdsworth Grin
