I do love this show but they ALWAYS choose families who spend stupid money anyway so saving 50/80/100 a week is easy

Wonder if they will ever use a family who spend 60 a eeek and went to reduce to 40/50 and that £10/20 really help the family

But I still love it

Well it's eating disorder central on Eat Well for Less this week. 10 minutes in, and it's SO clear that the mother has a seriously dysfunctional relationship with food.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo · 01/11/2017 20:15

I’ve turned over and I know she’ll just get on my nerves.

Graphista · 01/11/2017 20:18

Yep painfully thin, very small portions, hates anything to do with food.

Worrying.

Between this week and last week they need to be more careful what families they're choosing.

packofshunts · 01/11/2017 20:22

£350!!!!! ShockShock
Just how?

Graphista · 01/11/2017 20:25

It is crazy money for v little food.

It's just me and dd (16) at home we're closer to £50 a week, although I alternate a big shop with a smaller shop fortnightly. So £70 one week £30 the interim week.

foxessocks · 01/11/2017 20:30

I don't think she is painfully thin at all, she looks like a perfectly healthy weight to me. I do agree she doesn't really seem to enjoy food, cooking it or eating it (or shopping for it)

HouseworkIsAPain · 01/11/2017 20:30

She must be eating very little food if her diet is really made up of muffins, chocolate, snack foods. I have sympathy for her being unable to cook - it's really hard to get into it if you don't enjoy it.

HLBug · 01/11/2017 20:37

Would an online order not be much better?!

wobblywonderwoman · 01/11/2017 20:39

I think it is a pity that she has wasted so much time and money going to the garage for meals. But I think she will be OK. She has never cooked a roast chicken !!!

foxessocks · 01/11/2017 20:42

Haha good point re online shop why has she never tried that?!

PoppyPopcorn · 01/11/2017 20:42

She's never cooked ANYTHING. Everything is bought from the M&S at the petrol station.

thegoodnameshadgone · 01/11/2017 20:44

I love this programme.

JustDanceAddict · 01/11/2017 20:44

I was also thinking ‘do an online shop ffs!’

HouseworkIsAPain · 01/11/2017 20:44

Awww her reaction at the price of 3 days shopping in a normal supermarket.

I did wonder why they didn't suggest online shopping if she hates going to the supermarket so much.

thegoodnameshadgone · 01/11/2017 20:48

Awww I bet the end of this one will be really good and she will have gained son much

dillite · 01/11/2017 20:56

A potential saving of 14k a year! Fucking hell!

SpinnerDryer · 01/11/2017 21:01

What job does she do? She must earn loads to spend like that.

I do an online shop & try & spend £40 every 8-10 days, so I get delivery. If its over £40, I take stuff out of the basket.

She must have been spending that a day!

HouseworkIsAPain · 01/11/2017 21:04

Fucking hell indeed - £14k on just two peoples food!!

RandomMess · 01/11/2017 21:11

She owns a dance school! Good on her for recognising the need to sort her issues out!

cheminotte · 01/11/2017 21:23

Really glad to find this thread.

SpinnerDryer · 02/11/2017 03:33

A McDonalds every day is not promoting healthy eating if she is into dance!

Slartybartfast · 02/11/2017 06:12

She may well be promoting her dance school in the process

Ropsleybunny · 02/11/2017 06:14

I found this really hard to believe. She didn’t seem real to me.

Slartybartfast · 02/11/2017 06:28

No,
Although I can believe she finds it hard to cook for two but she did not look believable.

RosyWelshcakes · 02/11/2017 08:08

I found this really hard to believe. She didn’t seem real to me

She was performing for the camera within minutes things starting.
