I think Laura Dern is doing a good job too. Very believable.

I've only watched episode 1, I loved it. NK is wooden, but her stilted style kind of worked when her problems became apparent. (Though I haven't read the book.) Loved Reese Witherspoon! Also I just like the fact that it's very sophisticated/classy and well-written, filmed etc - it's great to watch. So glad I have some appointment TV lined up :)

I got half way through episode one. Don't like the style, jumps about, can't work out what's going on. And I've read the book . The constant flashbacks worked much better in the book.
It was a couple of years ago and I forget the details but was funny and then very dark. NK is playing her character just right I think it will be revealed.

I can recommend Lianne Moriarty's other books, apart from The Last Anniversary which wasn't up to scratch.

Loved the book & enjoyed episode 1 but agree with others that NK doesn't fit as Celeste as she's not beautiful enough & far too stilted.

I watched the whole thing and didn't even realise I'd read the book until about half the way through. And THEN had to stop myself blabbing to DH what was about to happen.

I watched episode 1 tonight and it was much better than I expected. I read the book when it first came out and have forgotten a lot of detail but totally agree about Witherspoon and Kidman. I'm a bit disappointed they moved the location but am looking forward to episode 2.

I love Liane Moriarty, especially the one about the woman who loses her memory (can't remember the title).

I'm on spisode 4. It gets better and better and darker and darker.

This and Billions and The Good Fight. Fantastic.

NK gets a lot better. Really!

Finished Episode one and it's all coming back to me now. I've now remembered all the twists and I don't think I can bear to watch!

@ppeatfruit Nicole Kidman is pretty bad (not quite as terrible as she was in Paddington Bear though) and in it a lot.

The other actors are all good though and I think make it worth watching. I loved the book so am probably a bit biased as I want to see the ending.

I'm loving Ziggy. He's adorable and believable for a child actor.

Thanks was worried I'd missed out I have no idea about what's going to happen or who has even died as I've not read the book so really looking forward to it but wish I could binge watch!

I totally agree about the casting,NK is completely wrong. Who did you picture as the character? I know it's not her, but can't see who it should be, IYKWIM.

I read a crit. about it and they say that NK is like a waxwork. Mind you she must be so botoxed, she's more botox than skin!
