I think that too, AndShe

People on Tumblr are saying this isn't a redemption arc for Mary - this might look like she died in a noble way, but just you wait...

BeetlebumShesAGun · 01/01/2017 23:16

Not RTFT, but I felt the same, Hecate. It really, really pissed me off. So out of character.

I think Mary knew, as well.

AFireInside · 01/01/2017 23:18

I agree. Woman on bus (E?) had a very dodgy wig. I suggested to DH it was Moriarty.... obviously it's not Wink.

MrsDustyBusty · 01/01/2017 23:19

I wish there was a convenient plot cupboard to store my baby in safely when I need to do stuff.

whyhastherumgone · 01/01/2017 23:20

Have they given any details why they think that hey?

RitaCrudgington · 01/01/2017 23:21

What kind of idiot would even think for a moment about cheating when he was spending half his time with a genius level International Woman of Mystery spy and the other half with Sherlock Actual Bloody Holmes? It would take truly heroic quantities of stupidity to think you could get away without either of them noticing. Obviously in plot terms you'd hand wave it away with them trusting John so completely that they never think to turn their laser eyes on him. But still...

CremeEggThief · 01/01/2017 23:23

It took me a while to get into and get used to Sherlock's rapid way of talking again, but I liked it.

HeyRoly · 01/01/2017 23:25

Just remembered something else! Mycroft called Sherrinford - that's the other Holmes sibling. During the recap at the start of the episode when he said "you know what happened to the other one". Sherrinford is the other one.

megletthesecond · 01/01/2017 23:26

Another thing. In Loaded Modern House with Swimming Pool; if Sherlock was lying in wait for Ajay, and the family were safely out of the way, then why didn't the police storm in as back up when he was nearly drowned?

Elledouble · 01/01/2017 23:26

It was a bit angsty for me - it's a bit like what's happened to Doctor Who recently, feels like they forgot to put the fun in.

Ohyesiam · 01/01/2017 23:35

Kind of disappointed, too many guns.

RoseValleyRambles · 01/01/2017 23:35

Agree on all counts. Bitty. Woman on bus guilty as charged re wig. Travel scenes felt totally out of place. And didn't get the 'ammo' thing. May have had too many wines...

SuperflyTNT · 01/01/2017 23:51

'Amo' in Latin
but also
'Ammo' in Latin

The codeword was issued by the secretary Norbury, who was paid very well to use it - will have to watch it again to catch all the details, but could well be Moriarty-linked, or as Sherlock postured, was because she just wanted to prove she was cleverer than the rest of them. Or something.

YorkiesGlasses · 01/01/2017 23:52

I did wonder whether there were different text conversations going on though? It's possible John only texted 'hey' to bus woman, and then the stuff about how he wasn't free. The middle of the night chat could have been his sister maybe?

HeyRoly · 01/01/2017 23:53

Who shot Ajay anyway? All you saw was a figure just behind the boy carrying the tea - just as he was about to spill more beans about what happened to him in Georgia.

HRHlikeahornyponywould · 02/01/2017 00:03

There was a poster of Toby Jones by John when he got off the bus.

How on earth could Mary have jumped in front of a bullet?

The London aquarium is next to St Thomas' hospital, I'm sure they could have walked her to A&E

It's always the secretary

I

Itscurtainsforyou · 02/01/2017 00:07

I'm glad Mary's death was in the book, I watched wondering if they'd written her out after she and john split up irl Smile

EnidButton · 02/01/2017 04:53

I thought maybe the go to hell was the reoccurring dream that Sherlock told the therapist he was having.

It went a bit naval gazing during the last series. I think Moffat has a tendency to do that.

Was that a wig?! I honestly didn't notice.

KnockMeDown · 02/01/2017 07:56

I think I saw the bus girl on the plane, reflected in a window just in front of John. Or was that him thinking of her? She was only there for a moment, during their trip home. Anyone else notice?

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 02/01/2017 08:03

Yes I saw that - I thought it was him thinking about her.

Ulysses · 02/01/2017 08:25

In was confused by the timeline when Mary went away to all those places. I thought it was over the course of a few months but baby Rosie hadn't gotten any bigger! I prefer it when it's fixed on the cases. The last few episodes have gotten very self indulgent and a cringed a few times.

Ulysses · 02/01/2017 08:27

The girl on the bus had a Scottish accent as well which I think probably is one of her arsenals of disguise.

A1Sharon · 02/01/2017 08:27

I loved it.
