Her daughter was in 'Park 1' sector 15 or something. So, park 2, 3, 4.......

Apologies if this was already mentioned, I only went as far back as I think people who have watched the last episode commented.

PacificDogwod · 06/12/2016 23:52

My mind is blow too Shock

I may need to rematch everything, from ep 1....

footballmum · 07/12/2016 06:30

I didn't understand how MIB was at the reception at the end? He looked like he'd got a dodgy arm after Delores broke it (yay!) but didn't Teddy then come along and shoot him? And was the coup in the control centre "real" or part of another narrative. I was left a bit confused TBH.

GrabtharsHammer · 07/12/2016 07:03

Teddy shot him, but with a park gun. Delores gun that Arnold gave her is a real one.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 07/12/2016 07:46

I think the coup was real in that there was to be a board meeting at which Ford was to announce his retirement - but the 'coup' part was the beginning of the new narrative Ford had mentioned.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 07/12/2016 07:47

Sorry you meant the control centre coup - now I'm confused! Will have to fond an online synopsis I think.

BeyondTheHarpy · 07/12/2016 08:48

I liked the control centre getting locked down. Flashbacks to the film Grin

BeyondTheHarpy · 07/12/2016 08:49

And I agree, maeves storyline was to escape, it was the pain at the thought of 'losing' her daughter that woke up her free will, causing her to get off the train

sparklybluelights · 07/12/2016 11:05

I wish they'd ditch Delores.

That eye brimming, tearful pollyanna act is starting to get boring. I find myself fast forwarding when it's about her.

Maueve on the other hand. What an amazing character.

sparklybluelights · 07/12/2016 11:10

Anybody notice anything about William's frenemy, on the horse?
I couldn't make out if it was his hand or otherwise (didn't have my glasses on) Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 07/12/2016 11:36

No! I love Delores. I think the crying was a good contrast for when she finally started to kick some ass.

I think all the cast have been phenomenal in it though.

sparklybluelights · 07/12/2016 11:45

They've all been good.
I still think Maueves been brilliant.

I expect it depends on the storyline you've been given.
Dolore's character gets on my nerves.

Orangetoffee · 07/12/2016 11:50

I know what you mean re Dolores with her annoying sweet innocent appearance but I like the fact that she is the cold blooded killer where as Maeve comes accross as cold and hardened but is actually the one showing proper emotions, iykwim

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 07/12/2016 11:55

Expectations ate being confounded: Maeve is being shown as ultimately nurturing whereas Dolores is a killer at heart.

BeyondTheHarpy · 07/12/2016 13:48

Dolores the damsel irritates me too, though I quite like her as the terminator.

Though maeve is just fabulous in every way. And I wish my body looked like hers after two kids!!! Grin

Giselaw · 08/12/2016 07:03

I'm confused about the guns. They can't be just park guns because the bullets blow through material and the host bodies just like the real thing. And all it would take is a guest smuggling in a real gun for things to get ugly - guests could even plot murder of other guest with such switches. Plus three years-long frustration of MIB doesn't make sense (he could just give a host a real gun to make it the game more real.) he also appears so happy when his shoulder is finally blown by a bullet from one of the "awakened" hosts.

Samurai world made me wonder how guests didn't get killed with those huge swords, when I realised... What about knives in Westworld? MIB kills lots of time with a knife - so how does a host fatally stab a guest and not kill? When Maeve stabbed the technician in the jugular, it looked like Felix was just mildly annoyed he didn't hold still so Felix could sew him right up. So out in the park, a guest could easily bleed to death before a medical team to reach him/her. Are the hosts just not programmed to stab guests?

Giselaw · 08/12/2016 07:04

The years long frustration (not three, autocorrect)

Giselaw · 08/12/2016 07:05

Sorry for the horrid spelling/missing words - my phone is playing up and I need coffee

HardLightHologram · 08/12/2016 07:07

I think the hosts are programmed not to kill, so they can punch and throttle and possibly even stab once you get further out from sweetwater. But not kill.

yumyumpoppycat · 08/12/2016 08:17

In the movie they explain that the hosts have been programmed not to kill. They then pick up a virus that switches this off.

In the series they also cover that the behind the scenes workers assess how much biffing up the guests can take to make the experience feel real and the hosts dish it out accordingly. They are programmed not to kill. I think the phrase 'Good Luck' is the off switch for the 'do not kill code'

FoonaBaboona · 08/12/2016 13:28

Just binge watched all 10 episodes over the weekend and early part of this week.

Best thing I've seen on TV for a long time, I love things you really have to think about.

Right, time to freeze all motor functions and go offline while I wait for the next series!

pizzaparty · 08/01/2017 23:00

I just watched the original film. It's so crap I can't believe it inspired the TV show!! They've done an amazing job with the series, can't wait for the next batch of episodes.

Oblomov18 · 08/04/2018 15:49

New season starts 23rd April 2018?

Can't wait!! Grin

EveningHare · 08/04/2018 16:24

Sky plus is set!! I thought it wasn't coming til next year so yay!!

PavlovaPrincess · 08/04/2018 17:00

Looking forward to this.

I'm on this thread under different name and re reading the posts, I've no idea what I'm talking about Confused I think a rewatch might be in order before the new season starts.
