Has anyone seen the first episode?

Bloody hell.

Amazing.

I can't wait for next week

I love the original film. It is a classic

I too was a bit confused in this version as to who the guests are

The milk was annoying

Yes Paint it Black and Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun were performed Western style

The jury's still out for me, but as I love the concept I will stick with it. Especially as there will hopefully be strong females in this, not just brothel girls

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2016 17:39

On planner. Will catch up then read comments

OlennasWimple · 06/10/2016 20:12

I loved the premise (even if that inevitably seems to lead to female nudity and violence against women). The large cast gave me issues on a couple of occasions - I'm going to have to watch it properly, not MN at the same time, I think.

Will be tuning in next week to see where they take it

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/10/2016 20:33

I really struggled with this :(

Amazed you all thought was good 😱

Seen the original film with yul in it many times and loved it

The series just doesn't seem the same and not sure how can string out for many episodes

TheZeppo · 06/10/2016 20:33

Loved it.

OreoHeaven · 06/10/2016 20:38

I thought it was great. Really one to concentrate on tho and not FB/MN/IG at the same time. I'll probably have to watch it again.

Loved the sheriff and Hopkins having a drink.

Felt sad for the father at the end of the ep. Did I see a tear in his eye?

How do the Guests get to find out about the park?

ijustwannadance · 06/10/2016 20:41

I have a soft spot for the original. My dad let me stay up one night and watch it with him when I was about 10. First film ever where I wanted the bad guy to win. Yul was perfect.
Not sure how they are going to drag this one out.

YouHadMeAtCake · 09/10/2016 23:04

Just watched the first two episodes and can't wait til the next one. Absolutely brilliant!

Oldsu · 10/10/2016 07:54

I don't know if anyone else noticed but there was a couple of things that I picked up on, firstly the hosts don't remember what happened before, every day is new (the dialogue between the girl and the man on the train indicated that they knew each other, but that was part of the scripted scene between them as the girl didn't remember he had been shot and killed) BUT at the end when the man was on the train he was rubbing his chest right at the very spot he had been shot before as if he had a slight pain or was remembering that he had been shot

In two scenes both the man on the train and the girl had a fly crawling over their eyes and ignored it and indeed someone mentioned the hosts wouldn't hurt a fly, yet in the last scene the girl killed a fly that landed on her.

The shootout was meant to be a way of getting all the hosts that had the upgrade out of action so they could be checked, and when they powered down the girl they said they had got them all, but have they? there seemed to be some concern that 2 guests had ended the shootout by shooting the outlaws, so maybe they didn't actually get everyone.

OreoHeaven · 10/10/2016 14:14

It self seemed like Groundhog Day each time with different endings to each day. Going to be a show that requires full attention whilst watching.

Loved the original film, loving this series so far :)
Im wondering if the androids will end up starting a secret revolution where they pretend to forget every night but some of them secretly remember and then lie about it...
Im interested to see what the story of the labyrinth is as well.

CharminglyGawky · 10/10/2016 14:47

Loved it, and really liked the paint it black scene, the music was perfect.

Reminded us a lot of dollhouse, the whole lack of memories but I have a feeling that they will start to figure it out somehow... Like the dolls. But dollhouse is also awesome so it is a good comparison!

YouHadMeAtCake · 10/10/2016 15:00

Oldsu I noticed the fly and her face when she swatted it.Didn't notice him rubbing his old gunshot wound but will look out for that.

charmlingly yes I agree with the paint it black, excellent. I've not seen Dollhouse but it sounds good, thank you I shall put that on my endless list of must sees.

YouHadMeAtCake · 10/10/2016 15:00

*didn't notice even

rollonthesummer · 10/10/2016 15:03

The music was brilliant. Yes-her killing the fly showed that she was rebelling. She had said she couldn't hurt another living thing but then did.

I hadn't seen or even heard of the original but love the premise. Can't wait to see episode 2!

BeyondPolkadots · 10/10/2016 15:53

Loved it, ive seen E2 already too (it was leaked). Loved E1 (though yes, it does unfortunately inevitably lead to VAW and female nudity...) so much that I downloaded the film and watched that too. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before.

Loving the music too :) (sure I spotted paranoid android in E1 too?)

OhMrsQ · 10/10/2016 22:05

Episode 2 just as good. So happy I have a new Sunday night tv show.

I think the 'these violent delights have violent ends' is a trigger, and once whispered to a host it starts to mess with their circuits and give them memories of previous storylines.

Maybe.

TheHiphopopotamus · 11/10/2016 22:47

Ep 2 just as good as Ep 1. As someone else mentioned above, it really does need watching at least twice an episode, to catch bits you missed first time.

I'm interested to know how the world itself works. One minute he's in the changing room, the next he's on the train. How big is it? Is it an island?

Also, not sure this has been explained, but why do the hosts need to interact with each other when there are no humans around?

I think the 'these violent delights have violent ends' is a trigger, and once whispered to a host it starts to mess with their circuits and give them memories of previous storylines

It seems that way, like it's a virus or something. My guess is Dr Ford has planted it in them.

Lorelei76 · 12/10/2016 00:33

I watched 40 mins of ep 1 and didn't like it
I feel as if it should be a me show but something just didn't sit well
Milk bloke was good though.

I preferred ep2 and the flashbacks/memories.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2016 23:07

Watched e1 again as you all think it's wonderful

Still not sure. Will try e2

Didn't understand the pouring of milk over people

Orangetoffee · 13/10/2016 13:44

Watched both episodes last night and really enjoyed it. I thought e2 was better as it seemed to make more sense.

Voteforpedr0 · 13/10/2016 13:49

It's got me gripped and I'm really impressed with the whole concept, Hopkins brilliant as usual although I would safely say that if I were to meet him on real life I would be beside myself with fear. Random I know
