Three dragons, Bastards. Tut tut.

YES! I am Arya Stark of Winterfell and I am going home! FINALLY!! And I would just like to point out that I nailed it, last week, to predict just that. My theories never pan out so I am having this one. I spent most of the HoB&W bits yelling hurry the fuck up.

But...laughed so much at the Hound and his axe and his cock. Just because Beric dies to resurrect LSH in the books, doesn't mean she's not going to return at the end of this season. There have been a hell of a lot of references to Catelyn Stark recently.

And oh, the tender and loving glances between Brienne and Jaime! And I also PMSL at Bron asking Pod if he thought they were fucking. It was just what I thought they would be wondering. Pod's outraged face was a treat.

The Blackfish. I so would. It was really sad when he went off to throw his life away! He should have gone with Brienne. Does he remind anyone else of Sir Ian McKellan? Maybe more as Magneto than as Gandalf?

Cersei is so going to burn that mother down. New theory: Cersei and Qyburn try to burn down the High Sept, and the fire spreads and takes out the whole of Kings Landing, murderating Tommen in its path. Cersei then goes out of her mind and Jaime is forced to kill her.

By the way, the Mountain pulling the Sparrow's head off! I half cheered and half ewwwed. In your face, Lancel Lannister!

Then there was the boring bit in Meereen. It was so blindingly obvious that Dany was going to reappear because Grey Worm and Missandei's jokes were so painful something had to happen. Tyrion's banter is just not as good this season. I think that suffers from being off-book.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 13/06/2016 21:38

To be fair to Cersei, Rowan, she didn't have much choice. Let Ser Robert Strong splat some Sparrows, or let them drag her back to the High Sept. I know what I'd have chosen in that situation too.

Trills · 13/06/2016 21:50

Did anyone else think that Lady Crane might have deemed Arya's wounds fatal, and so given her a very large dose of milk of the poppy to ease her death?

Trills · 13/06/2016 21:51

Awww, I rather enjoyed Missandei and Grey Worm lightening up - especially his look when he saw her laughing.

Rowanhart · 13/06/2016 21:51

True, true.

I think she might well burn the fucker down. But what do you think the rumour is she's heard and had stood up?

I had this idea that Lady Stonehart would appear on hill during battle of Bastards and Brotherhood without Banners would descend. And then Sansa sees her and is all 'Mother...? MOTHER.'

I think Bolton may have broken Rickon like Theon and make him pretend to give him Winterfell.

Trills · 13/06/2016 21:53

What rumours was Qyburn talking about?

TheNorthRemembers · 13/06/2016 21:57

It must be the wildfire cache under the Sept of Bailor.

Rowanhart · 13/06/2016 21:59

ooh TheNorthRemembers. Good stuff.

Definitely going to end with a massive blow up then. And she'll kill Tommen defo.

TheNorthRemembers · 13/06/2016 22:01

I think Davos walking away in the trailer is a misdirection like when the Queen of Thorns was scolding Cersei for being stupid and bringing down their houses, but in the trailer it seemed she was talking to Margery. Same with Pod being in a headlock.

So is Melisandre with Jon in the room when he says "If I die, don't bring me back?"

Ramsay is so pantomime evil.

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 13/06/2016 22:02

Maybe jaime will arrive before cersei has a chance to burn them all and will have to kill her, repeating the death of the mad King and making him kinslayer as well as kingslayer

SausageSmuggler · 13/06/2016 22:07

I think that was probably the weakest episode this series but it still had some good bits. Loved every scene with The Hound "You're shit at dying!" Also loved Arya reclaiming her name - thought it was inevitable but still cheered. I questioned Jaqens smile too. Surely if he wanted her dead that much then he wouldn't have been quite so pleased.
I think Lady Stoneheart could still appear. I reckon they could bring her back in the same way Jon was. No one dies then.

Trills · 13/06/2016 22:12

You can't burn down the sept without burning down King's Landing in general though can you?

MaterofDragons · 13/06/2016 22:12

Love all these theories! Definitely wish for Arya to off Ramsey. Would be great if she did it with the face of Roose or fat Walda.

Trills · 13/06/2016 22:13

Bronn and Podd are so much fun.

Jaime wouldn't fuck Brienne though - he wouldn't (and never has) fuck anyone except Cersei. That's his problem.

NeedACleverNN · 13/06/2016 22:16

I know everyone is disappointed by Arya and the house of black and white but this is my theory..

Arya was never happy in her own body. She wanted to be a man and fight just aswell as her brothers. She went over to braavos to become no-one as it made her just as good as a man.

However I reckon J'aquen knew all along what was going to happen and just so happened to train her up enough to be happy and confident to be Arya Stark of Winterfell and happy to go home and help reclaim her house.

Something she couldn't have done without J'aquen

Felascloak · 13/06/2016 22:26

I'm a bit disappointed. Thought the dragons that Tyrion let out were going to come and roast the ships and Tyrion was going to get to ride them. Sad
The Arya plot was similar to the Vanity fair article on the last thread. I agree Jaqen has a master plan, have thought that since he was locked in that trailer. So Arya has done what she should. Question is, what is the master plan?
I think its noticeable its gone off the books now. The dialogue with Jaime going on about doing anything to get back to Cersei was so clunky and I don't think GRRM would write something so explicit about someone's feelings.

SpikeWithoutASoul · 13/06/2016 22:29

Just butting in to ask about Tommen. Is he playing a long game like Margaery, or is he just a bit dim and let the high sparrow get to him? Would he really turn against his mother?

Felascloak · 13/06/2016 22:32

I think he's thick. He didn't know what cersei was planning so he didn't know he had fucked it up for her. I think Cersei is going to end up killing him herself to get rid of the high sparrow.

TheNorthRemembers · 13/06/2016 22:34

Non-book-readers, did you think Jaime shared his real innermost thoughts and feelings with a nobody (Edmure)? Or was it obvious that he channelled his inner Tywin psyching Edmure out to take Riverrun without bloodshed?

I have no proof for this, but I do not think Jaime will kill Cersei. Certainly not in the books where their paths have long separated.

I was thinking about Varys. High garden and the Tyrells were the last Targ loyalist former kingdom. Sam's dad led the siege of Storm's End till the very end.
Margery and Dany would make the ultimate power couple. They killed so many husbands between them.

Alisvolatpropiis · 13/06/2016 22:37

Trills, yes I thought that. Not least because they would have been until around WW2. Stomach wounds = fucked for the larger part of human history.

My husband keeps muttering that Arya is "supernatural" so won't die Hmm

Felascloak · 13/06/2016 22:39

I thought arya must have cured herself at the end by drinking the magic water or bathing in it or something.

SausageSmuggler · 13/06/2016 22:39

I doubt Jaime was sharing his true feelings. He's too clever for that and he clearly loves Brienne.

Thinking about it, I quite liked The Waif going completely psycho. It showed that she wasn't the hot shit she thought she was. She went against her own training with anger and resentment, and I think that was her downfall.

QueenOfThorns · 13/06/2016 22:47

I just want it to be noted that I said threads and threads ago that Cersei would kill Tommen.

It is known. Grin

Felascloak · 13/06/2016 22:51

If she does that whole scene with the poison at the battle of Blackwater was quite portentous!

Does anyone know how the nameless men become nameless? I think it might be because they cheat death, but could be talking bollocks

8dayweek · 13/06/2016 22:53

That was such a frustrating episode!

I thought Thoros died bringing LSH back? Not Beric?

I'm also hoping next week there's a whiff of the Great Northern Conspiracy and maybe the Umbers switch allegiance back to the Starks...
