I am now caught up, watched online.

Hold The Door Sad and that Bran now knows he made Wylis into Hodor Sad Sad

But wouldn't Hodor have been terrified of Bran, instead of his best bud?

The Door North is the Door of The Tree. Hodor dies keeping it shut so that Meera can drag Bran away.

The fight stuff was very dark on my screen and I didn't see Summer go.

But Bran IS the Bloodraven now, according to the Bloodraven. How will they manage w/o Hodor given Bran is paralysed? Confused

Sansa/Jon stuff. It's made VERY clear in the book that Sansa and Jon had a very normal relationship until she realised he was a bastard and pretty much looked down on him from then on and would emphasise he was only her half brother. That's been brought back by Littlefinger. Additionally The Tullys are her family not his.

She could betray Jon once they've retaken Winterfell

It would make sense but I hope not.

Arya watching the play Sad

She now knows Sansa was forced to marry Tyrion too

Jorah and Dany as well

Thank you EverySongbird.

Do you think Jaqen explaining the history of Braavos means that the Faceless Men are after Dany and the dragons?

"How will they manage w/o Hodor given Bran is paralysed?" Well, how will we manage when Bran can totally scr*w up history, but cannot / would not follow the simplest instructions?!

If Sansa turn out to be a total bitch, i.e. book Cersei combined with Lysa Arryn on a really bad day, I shall PML. It would be the biggest troll storyline from the show creators and GRRM so far.
A significant and loud minority of book readers believe Sansa will be the perfect lady who will warg birds/dragons/cats / marry (f)Aegon /Jon/some Tyrell/anyone who would be king/Sandor/Gendry, rule the North/Westeros/the world in her own right, bring down Littlefinger/Varys/the Lannisters/Dany/the Others, kick some serious ass and embody all our ideals in a ruler all at the same time.

Middleoftheroad · 22/05/2016 20:12

I need therapy after that epic.
Just to clarify does this mean that Meera is infact a half Targ Jon's twin? Given that she killed the walker?

When Yara was giving her speech I prayed that Theon would not revert to his old ways. He didnt let us down.

I'm beginning to worry about Sansa's loyalties now and potential power trip

Roll on Arya joining the actors. Fed up of the scenes in the House of b & w

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 20:21

PML?? North Confused

Bran hasn't screwed up history. It's a LOST style whatever happened, happened paradox. Wylis was Hodor before Bran existed and yet exists through Bran's actions. He would never have been Hodor without Bran.

The Greyjoy factions. Yara has taken the entire army. Will they go Stark? Can Jon and Sansa trust them? They also know Euron's plan. Dragons will kill Euron and Yara will get the throne back.

I forget RE Jaqen. Will have to watch again. Sick of that awful Waif girl certainly.

TheNorthRemembers · 22/05/2016 20:39

Sorry, my phone always autocorrects me. Probably for good reason. I meant I would piss myself laughing if the show makers decided to enrage book readers with Sansa's treachery. Love a bit of trolling, me, as long as does not affect the book.

I think Bran made it possible for the white walkers to cross the Wall somehow when the Nights King touched him while he was in the tree. Also not sure if I would choose to live like Hodor. Anyway, as you said it is all in the past now. But Westeros always gets it in the neck when Bran goes maverick like climbing a tower when specifically told not to (I do not blame him for that, I just say he does not follow instructions). In the end that might be how the world is saved.

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 20:41

Just had a thought regarding Sansa.

Sansa could still TOTALLY end Littlefinger.

Brynden Tully is her uncle, he's also Lysa's brother.

Littlefinger murdered Lysa as Sansa watched. Brynden also has more rights over Robin Arryn than Littlefinger. Littlefinger's fucked unless he comes up with a better play.

ThatsMyStapler · 22/05/2016 20:47

oh.... hold the door... Sad

PreviouslyMal · 22/05/2016 21:02

Blackfish is Catelyn and Lysa's uncle, so Sansa's great uncle.
The 'hold the door' scenes are up there with the very best, I was open mouthed , stunned even.
Anyone can kill a walker with dragon glass (or Valyrian steel) , Sam gave Meets dragon glass spear tips,
It's interesting to note than Sam's horrible father has a Valyrian steel sword, as does Brienne ( part of ice, Ned's sword that Tywin Lannister had melted down)

PreviouslyMal · 22/05/2016 21:04

Meera, not meets Hmm

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 21:09

I stand corrected. Principle the same though, Littlefinger murdered his niece

OP posts:
Middleoftheroad · 22/05/2016 21:43

Is there any way LittleFinger could secretly be Robin's real father given his history with Lysa? Wondering if he tells Robin that story if he will continue over his influence with Robin and thereby the knights of Vale

Ah so Meera javelin-ed the walker with a tip made of dragon glass? I thought it might have been her half dragon blood that held the power. Yes now I realise it's that Obsidien again!

How dare the new King of the Iron Islands presume he can 'take' Dany!

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 21:55

It's possible. Lysa was sent off to a political marriage with an old man basically.
That wouldn't work. It would bastardize him and he would no longer be the heir of the Vale it would be that other lad Harry Hardyng ?? And he'd be Robin Stone. He'd choose not to believe Littlefinger and even if he DID - it'd get out - it always does.

OP posts:
Middleoftheroad · 22/05/2016 22:05

True EverySongbirdSays. We all know how they treat their bastards!

I have always thought Littlefinger would be there at the end somehow, trying to steal the Iron Throne for himself. I do wonder if they will kill him off so easily - but then again this is GoT.

Was Ned Stark's father bidding farewell to Ned or Ben? Still clinging on to Benjen saving the day and being brought back in.

Still can't get over the Hodor and Summer shockers. Need to watch properly tomorrow but huge thankyou for the head's up about the leaked stream, folks!

TheNorthRemembers · 22/05/2016 22:20

On Reddit someone assumed that Benjen would be back in the next episode. Who knows?

Littlefinger as the king of ashes. Hmmm. Not impossible. In the books I always felt that he really saw Sansa as her daughter. Not in a sensible way obviously. So creepy. So wrong. But then he genuinely believed that he slept with Catelyn.

Sansa could take Littlefinger any time now, you are absolutely right EverySongbird. But does she want to or is she DarkStark?

The consensus is that Benjen did not leave Winterfell until he joined the Nights Watch. He was the necessary Stark in Winterfell, so if he left in the show that is very exciting.

TheNorthRemembers · 22/05/2016 22:28

Sorry Benjen did go the tourney at Harrenhal. My mistake. If we saw that it would be awesome. But too expensive to shoot.

Middleoftheroad · 22/05/2016 22:29

Thanks for the background TheNorthRemembers still on book one.

DarkStark I like it.

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 22:32

I was fairly sure that was Ned's father sending him to the Vale to live with Jon Arryn and Robert.

Where's the DarkStark thing come from all of a sudden?

I really didn't consider that they'd ever kill Hodor. But then back in my book reading days I was convinced this was a standard heroes journey and Robb would eventually be King. This series.....

The conceit of Euron thinking he can just charm or more than likely rape a woman who has a massive fucking army and 3 dragons erm....

Bye, Euron.

Also, I had THOUGHTS

Wouldn't Brynden have been at the Red Wedding. He got away I assume?

What if Sansa, Brienne, Jon get to Riverrun

AND BOOM

LADY STONEHEART!

OP posts:
NuggetofPurestGreen · 22/05/2016 22:46

Didn't Brynden go out for a piss at the red wedding and so escaped the slaughter?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 22/05/2016 22:48

Where's Edmure these days?

EverySongbirdSays · 22/05/2016 22:55

Held hostage by his in laws.

That must be a delight.

OP posts:
HappyGoLuckyGirl · 22/05/2016 22:55

I'm SO confused.

So Bran warged back in time and warged into wylis in the past, which made him turn into hordor?

But how was hordor hordor since Bran was a kid if it was Bran warging into him whilst in the tree that made him hordor.

It's like inception all over again.

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 22/05/2016 22:57

Ahem. I see that I spelt Hodor incorrectly. Blush

Carry on.
