I reckon she will kill the actress, 'Lady Crane'.

The play had Joffrey about to spare Ned, until Tyrion pays the executioner, who chops off Neds head. Tyrion betrays his own 'deal' with Ned. It's a surprise to the others, including Joffrey, who is presented as fairly nice.

I wonder if this is the reading that Arya now has - that Tyrion is behind her father's death?

AgingJuvenileBinkyHuckaback · 23/05/2016 14:54

I don't think so. Arya knows full well that Joffrey was a monster. She was at her father's execution and will remember every word that was said. But she probably assumes that Tyrion was just as bad..

Badders123 · 23/05/2016 14:59

I have no idea what's going on as its been so long since I read the books and its digression from them anyway!
I liked the bit with jorah and dany. Very sweet.
No idea why sansa turned down littlefinger...study she must know he will now ally with the Boltons?
GlAd she gave him a hard time 're Ramsey though
Euron will be trouble...where are theon and asha headed?
I've totally lost the plot 're bran/blood raven/hodor. If I'm honest I found those parts of the book - along with aryas adventures in braavos - quite boring
Very sad 're hodor.
I have seen the trailer yet for next week...Will watch that and thronecast later.

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 23/05/2016 15:34

Nobody I know has seen it yet so loving all the theories here!

A couple of things struck me. The Child said to Bran that they created the Walkers to protect them from 'you', which she then changed to 'from men'. Was she clarifying or trying to switch the meaning? If she meant you as in humans, that's pretty big, if she meant literally from Bran that's huge!

Did we get a clue as to whether the Wall is going to come down? Jon said to Ed(?) something about keeping it all standing or not letting it fall (the wording escapes me) for when he gets back. Was that a little hint it may not be? Shock It would make a nice ironic moment. If Bran's connection to the Night's King does somehow break the magic of the Wall, like it broke the magic surrounding the tree, then it may be game over.

Did Sansa and Tyrion ever divorce? Cos surely if they didn't then Tyrion/the Lannisters would have gone to war with Ramsay to get Sansa back. I mean, she was carrying their name and they don't want anyone to disrespect their name. No? Or am I misremembering?

fukkigucci · 23/05/2016 16:01

Also, Sansa not telling Jon about the Tully army. I think just shows that she's trying to take control of her own destiny. It shows how far she's come. Not mistrust of Jon, but realising that she can only rely on herself.

pyrowall · 23/05/2016 16:15

Someone has just said 'hold the door' to me!
I nearly lost it! Sad

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/05/2016 16:23

No,vthey weren't divorced. Sansa escaped with LF's help at the time that Tyrion was waiting to be tried for killing Jeffrey. Then after he was convicted he escaped and killed Shae and Tywin on the way out. Nobody had much time to think of Sansa after that.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 23/05/2016 16:24

*Joffrey

EverySongbirdSays · 23/05/2016 16:25

From the hints in this episode I think this is exactly what will happening triggering a second "Long Night" - surely the only one able to overcome the Long Night is Dany with her dragons, thus making her Azor Ahai, though many think Jon is Azor Ahai is combination of two most likely though as yet unknown how.

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 23/05/2016 16:27

The Night King and his buddies didn't seem to be that bothered by the fire...

TheNorthRemembers · 23/05/2016 16:27

Aging "Melisandre would be the cue for a spectacularly unpleasant and messy but highly saitsfying abortion/blood magic revenge plot in which Ramsay is strangled by his own foetus."

Dragonglass............

As in, Dany can get her dragons to make some? Yeah, that would be cool. I just found it interesting that they weren't bothered by the fire. Or maybe it was just that they're so cold that they knew the fire would extinguish when they stepped in to it?

EverySongbirdSays · 23/05/2016 16:37

Ah..... our fave

BUT SANSA AND TYRION ARE MARRIED TOO....

Bingo!!!!

The Cancel The Cheque If I were you OP of The Game Of Thrones threads Grin

I SHALL SAY ONCE MORE

Both marriages have validity issues for separate reasons

I'm totally putting it in the OP next week Grin

OP posts:
EverySongbirdSays · 23/05/2016 16:38

Yeah, as in surely they can make it, as it must have that name for a reason.

BrienneAndTormund · 23/05/2016 16:42

The lannisters wouldn't want Sansa back except to execute her for supposedly helping tyrion kill Joffrey. They certainly wouldn't go to war for her.

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 23/05/2016 16:44

On a different note, I think the play was definately a test, to see if Arya would react. I think she did as she was laughing at first then got all steely faced as it went on. She's definitely still Arya and not A Girl. I agree with the poster who said that Richard E. Grant must have a bigger role than 2 lines, surely! I love Kevin Eldon, have done since Big Train, so was very happy to spot him. I like that Brits watching it probably do a lot of 'ooooh look who it is' whilst watching GOT, when people like Mark Gatiss and KE pop up in a minor role

PreviouslyMal · 23/05/2016 16:45

There's plenty of dragon glass on Dragon stone, Stannis said so.
Probably in Old Valyria too, but who would want to go up against the Stone men, I wonder if Jorah could go , what with him having greyscale ?

What about Summer, will nobody think of poor Summer? Will he rise as an undead dire wolf, will Bran be able to warg into him?
So many questions, so few episodes left Sad

fukkigucci · 23/05/2016 16:47

Even though she has the Lannister name?
That's it, I need to rewatch, I don't want to a bingo player!!!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 23/05/2016 16:48

Poor Summer Sad It's hard to watch the scene where they find them now - half of them, wolves and humans combined, are dead! Is it just Ghost and Nymeria left now?

PreviouslyMal · 23/05/2016 16:49

Totally irrelevant, but I'm going to see Kit Harrington onstage as Dr Faustus in 3 weeks' time Smile

TheUnsullied · 23/05/2016 16:49

I think right now Sansa isn't Cersei's focus at all but it will only be so long. I think she'll come back into play for the Lannisters once she takes back Winterfell. Cersei will have to die before any kind of Stark/Lannister allegiance is beneficial to the realm though. If such an alliance held up through the sketchy Sansa/Tyrion marriage, there's a huge army at their disposal.
