Thank heavens for bank holidays. I'll wake up at 7:30, make myself some tea and toast, lock the rest of the family out of the living room and curl up on the sofa under a spare duvet. See you at 8:30 tomorrow.

Fume over the recent appallingly rude response to a gift

Dread visiting high maintenance friend on Tuesday

I'll be trying not to wake the baby as I stealthily put headphones in as soon as I wake in the morning (whatever time that might be), I'm away from home and sharing with DD

For the night is dark and full of the terrors (of a 14 month old)

I won't be watching until 9pm tomorrow night. Looking forward to it

Also not sure why everyone is loving the Tormund/Brienne thing?!? If a man leered at me like that, and everyone around me thought it was cute/sweet/loved it I'd be duckin pissed off!!

I know in the real world we'd be freaked out, and there's absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Brienne is interested.

But we do know that Brienne is heterosexual and that she'd really like to have a man fancy her. And we know that the men of the South are conditioned not to see Brienne as a romantic possibility. And we know that Tormund is not suffering from these preconceptions of conventional feminine attractiveness and is totally OK with women who are strong and lethal and also happen to be sexy. So we're filling in the gaps and desperately willing Brienne to have a change of heart because we know Tormund is her best bet. Let's face it, we were previously willing her to have a happy ever after with Jamie. Jamie?!? Child murdering, sexually obsessed with his twin sister, sees Brienne as a bizarre freak of nature. You can't blame us for seeing a strong tall uncomplicated bloke with all his appendages intact as the answer to our prayers. All it takes is for Brienne to have a change of heart.....

Brienne loves Jamie anyway and will continue her unrequited torment this year.

Tormund will die saving her or Sansa and declare his love as he goes. Tis the way of the show.

Yes, Jamie is a shit. But Brienne did a good job restoring his image among fans. And losing the hand has changed him. Not so much the kids. Eeryone hated Joffrey and Myrcella isn't dead in the book. Yet.

Brienne isn't an idiot though. She was aware of the fundamental impossibility of her love for Renly and she moved on to the marginally more possible Jamie. She can do it again dammit.

I thought I'd try to stay up for the 2am show as I am off tomorrow butvitvis not happening! 😴
