I've just seen the new .

Hang on to your hats for a another round of pregnancy/childbirth bingo and the continuing adventures of the most drama-filled antenatal group and understaffed maternity unit in the country!

Previous thread here to remind yourselves of last series/loose ends and see if any of Bertie's predictions come true!

The hair stylist ought to be sacked, I was distracted throughout the whole airport scene by Roanna's terrible hair- not that's it's thin ( definitely doesn't need a hair piece Confused) but brushing it would be good and something very odd was happening on one side. It was so distracting!

Did she actually say she'd wait for Sonny 's dad?

MargotLovedTom · 03/06/2016 09:28

She was much more coiffed in Series 1. They are obviously showing she has fallen on hard times through the medium of hair Wink.

She did say "He [Sonny] will still be here, and so will I."

In The Club - Series Two coming soon!
Cherrypie32 · 03/06/2016 14:09

I think it was apt she looked a bit dishevelled, she'd got straight out of bed and rushed off to look for her daughter, she didn't really have time to coiff did she.

BertieBotts · 03/06/2016 14:39

Gwen there is a very famous art school in Florence which I assume is the one they are referring to. No way would that just have random spare places.

Then again maybe it's another lesser art school?

MadameDePomPom · 03/06/2016 14:41

Does anyone else think Roanna's ex husband's voice doesn't suit his body. Or is it that his mouth doesn't move when he speaks?

desperatehousewife21 · 03/06/2016 14:58

Well in doc Martin he has a v Cornish accent so he's maybe poshing it up for this role but it does come across v wooden.

CrazyDuchess · 03/06/2016 17:42

His whole face doest move!

CrazyDuchess · 03/06/2016 17:43

Doesn't

CrazyDuchess · 03/06/2016 17:43

Doesn't

ageingdisgracefullu · 03/06/2016 19:10

HN looks better in that pic (shallow).

5BlueHydrangea · 03/06/2016 22:22

Please tell them you need to make an appointment to register a birth, not just drop in. It irritates me every time they mention it. Along with one or two other things...
They have a lot of wrapping up to do next week!

And does nobody ever breastfeed?? Except surrogate girl who amazingly has gallons of milk a week or something post delivery despite not having the baby feeding on her. One episode they kept banging on about Kim giving up now it's never mentioned at all. Although I guess it's small fry with all the other dramas!

MoonriseKingdom · 04/06/2016 03:45

Why am I still watching this???

Can't believe the coroner allowed all the random shouting from the gallery.

The midwife with the glasses has clearly missed all confidentiality training. Among her many misdemeanours why was she giving out the teenage girls address to Mrs leopard print? Also why is a ward midwife doing home visits?

I know lots of men do walk away from children but why was Simon being given such an easy ride? Rohanna behaved badly but that doesn't make it acceptable to just leave for a year. No one seemed to be prepared to tell him to man up and be a father. You would have thought he was 16 from the way they talk about him.

Love Katherine Parkinson in Humans, the IT crowd and various radio things. Her character in this is just so dull though.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/06/2016 01:59

Vicki's mum was cast really well! They're not related in RL are they?

I do like Dev's smile and when he winks - he just looks very happy.

So to wrap up next week:

-Roanna hitting Jonathan
-Jasmine having the twins
-Thingy going back to work
-How Rosie is
-Whatever is going on with the surrogacy lot
-Whether Chris has found his green card wife

It's going to be a busy episode!

Think they are making hn look crap as before she was a powerful business woman and had it all

Now a baby at her 'age' and showing the struggle between that and a relationship with a man you bad enough to be her son

Surrogate. Maybe bbc showing how not to do it. Ie this is what could happen if you use a cleaners daughter rather then someone with checks/done it before

Looking forward to tonight :)

scarlets · 07/06/2016 15:47

Despite the wonderful Hermione (the young surrogate and her mum were excellent too) I ditched this disappointing rubbish after ep 3 - but am enjoying this thread immensely!

I thought that the young dad was supposed to be about 22. So he's actually 29 - blimey - time he grew up and got a job to support his child. Why are they pandering to him?

I wonder if there'll be a S3. I don't know anyone who's watching it.

scarlets · 07/06/2016 15:49

Also ....two clever, successful men using their cleaner's teen as a surrogate? Really???

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 07/06/2016 19:10

I have started predrinking in preparation for tonight. This is dedication.

CrazyDuchess · 07/06/2016 19:49

Damn it Anchor I am supposed to be off the alcohol!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/06/2016 20:14

Sure has been said before but makes you wonder why they used a teenager and paid her tons rather then an agency /adopted

Maybe something happened in their past so wouldn't pass a dbs check?

Gwenhwyfar · 07/06/2016 20:23

"Also ....two clever, successful men using their cleaner's teen as a surrogate? Really???"

Yes, why not? She's healthy and needs the money.

They might have preferred it to adoption because with surrogacy one of them gets to be the biological father.

southeastdweller · 07/06/2016 20:34

Also, the costs that the couple would have to pay for expenses via an agency may be as much as what they're paying Shelley, or more.

26milesofsmiles · 07/06/2016 21:10

That bloody music they play when Idiot Features is writing her blog. It's so irritating. Just like her.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 07/06/2016 21:16

Are Ray and thingy back together? Didn't she say she'd wait for Simon?

The cider experiment seems to be going well. My head is pleasantly fuzzy enough that I cannot remember the storylines.

Xmasbaby11 · 07/06/2016 21:19

I'm really enjoying this episode.

I am on second glass of wine to be fair.

CrazyDuchess · 07/06/2016 21:20

After Holby City.... . I am wrecked! So trying not to nitpicking- plus the half a bottle of wine seems to be helpingA
