I've just seen the new .

Hang on to your hats for a another round of pregnancy/childbirth bingo and the continuing adventures of the most drama-filled antenatal group and understaffed maternity unit in the country!

Previous thread here to remind yourselves of last series/loose ends and see if any of Bertie's predictions come true!

" I'm thirty next year..... Maybe I should consider MY CHILD before I swan off to study The Great Masters for a YEAR!"

Luciferbox · 01/06/2016 22:41

I gave up after ep 3 and having scanned this I seemed to have made the right choice. Awful

Chippednailvarnishing · 01/06/2016 23:05

Hilariously awful!

BertieBotts · 01/06/2016 23:08

I also want to know how he's so fantabulous at art that he can apply for a famous art school in an afternoon and be accepted immediately for a course they've presumably already filled which starts tomorrow.

I knew someone who went to Florence to study art and it was bloody hard work for her to be accepted, it doesn't happen like that.

MargotLovedTom · 01/06/2016 23:14

And who the hell will be funding him when he's flouncing round Florence in a smock waving his palette? The father who he has presumably shunned for having shagged his gf years ago?

ElfinStardust · 02/06/2016 08:24

Have watched the airport scene again for research purposes Grin I think Rowanna would have chosen boyfriend over husband if he'd stayed. Simon went to kiss her on the cheek and she turned it into a kiss on the lips. Hermione Norris is just so good she turned it into a moving scene. He went off with Mollie but didn't hold her hand and looked uncomfortable.

Paul Nicholls is very good as non-camp dad.

absolutelynotfabulous · 02/06/2016 09:31

This prog is not meant to ne serious, though, is it? Is itShock.?

I can't help watching. It's so bad it's good.

Hermione Norris is a good actress, yes, but what's this about her being glamorous?

I'm glad a pp noticed she looks like an old man. She does! She's meant to be a cougarish older woman but she'd never pull a young bloke looking like that. Come on! Stick some slap on that mean-looking face and get yourself a decent haircut, woman!

Now..that gay guy....I most definitely wouldWink.

MadameDePomPom · 02/06/2016 16:38

How bone crushingly fucking annoying is blog mummy's winsome narrative voice? Your blog sounds SO boring love!

And also when she phoned Roanna and was told 'this isn't a good time' she just went 'oh is something wrong', 'oh anything I can help with', 'oh are you sure everything's okay?'

UGH.

Just get off the fucking phone and go back to your shitty blog you idiot woman.

MadameDePomPom · 02/06/2016 16:38

I feel better for getting that off my chest! Grin

gingerboy1912 · 02/06/2016 18:27

Hermoine Norris has very thin hair and it makes her look dishevelled she could do with having a hair piece. But tbh she seems to play the same sort of middle class uptight character with the same hair cut whatever she stars in.

YoureSoSlyButSoAmI · 02/06/2016 18:31

Why could she do with a hairpiece?! Maybe she likes her hair!

She's understated and classy looking and z fab actress.

AndYourBirdCanSing · 02/06/2016 19:05

Hermione Norris with a hair piece?! Shock
And looking like an old man?!

Crikey! I think she's beautiful.

southeastdweller · 02/06/2016 19:08

Hermione Norris is a gorgeous-looking woman and very talented. She's by far the best thing about this show and I'm looking forward to seeing her in the new series of Cold Feet.

AndYourBirdCanSing · 02/06/2016 19:09

I cannot wait for Cold Feet to return. Now there's a show worthy of my time

Lilaclily · 02/06/2016 19:10

Agree with everything southeast just said

YoureSoSlyButSoAmI · 02/06/2016 19:13

She's one of my few "watch it just because she's in it" actors.

Along with Olivia Coleman and Nicola Walker.

AndYourBirdCanSing · 02/06/2016 19:15

She is far too good for this show, and the only reason I have stuck with it!

TooManyButtons · 02/06/2016 19:21

The airport is at the end of my road. Much excitement spotting the local bus Grin

kinkytoes · 02/06/2016 21:10

Whoa! It's a crap show but what's with all the personal comments about HN.

My OH fancies her and he is most definitely younger than her.

Let's be nice, people.

Gwenhwyfar · 02/06/2016 21:41

"I also want to know how he's so fantabulous at art that he can apply for a famous art school in an afternoon and be accepted immediately for a course they've presumably already filled which starts tomorrow."

Waiting till the last day can actually work quite well. The school will say yes if there's a space left. I don't know about Florence art schools, but I managed to avoid having to do an interview for a course by applying at the last minute - I knew they would just want to fill the course.

Lulooo · 02/06/2016 22:30

Doesn't anyone else think Christina Bottemley looks like Cameron Diaz?

Lovetobeme · 02/06/2016 23:12

I've just caught up on this weeks episode. It is utterly watchable drivel. However, what is really annoying me is the surrogacy storyline. I want to shout at the screen every time they misrepresent surrogacy and facts such as parental order. surrogacy has a hard time in the media anyway without scriptwriters not even bothering to get their facts straight... Grr

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/06/2016 23:16

She's very pretty Lu but I don't see a likeness to Cameron Diaz.

Love surrogacy is an extremely contentious area, I don't think there is a good/bad way to present it, tbh.

Lovetobeme · 03/06/2016 07:43

There really is, even just getting facts straight would be good :) (and I say this as a mum through surrogacy)

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/06/2016 07:58

Love

Fair enough. In that case, I would perhaps write to the BBC with not so much a complaint but outlining exactly how they could have portrayed the surrogacy storyline in a better, more accurate light. They might take it on board for future programmes.
