Afternoon all.

Had a busy morning. Me and my friend who I went to York with decided to get a Toby breakfast this morning. I feel so full/sick that I definitely won't eat anything else the rest of the day!

I've never had a manicure/pedicure before Blush but with my dry feet, a pedicure would be the last thing I'd force someone to deal with. I'll pribably need a cheese grater too woof Grin However, a manicure sounds up my street. Might treat myself one day.

I don't have much of a lady garden pix. I got rid of my borders as they were too much hard work so I just have a square lawn now. Very easy to tend to Wink so don't know if I'd qualify for any CJ gardening assistance Hmm

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 16:57

I have a wildlife garden, overgrown and good for attracting wild beasts fnar

MaddieMoo82 · 25/04/2016 17:05

Mine was a boring rectangle of lawn kelly but I'm going the opposite and trying to inject some much needed excitement into it with some borders. It's been neglected for 18 months and is in desperate need of some care which I'm sure CJ could provide Smile
Ooh pix very nice Grin

KellyHb · 25/04/2016 17:05

Grin pix

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 17:07

My retaining wall is bulging under the strain and crumbling in places as well

MaddieMoo82 · 25/04/2016 17:08

Oh and I'm sure CJ would give you garden a good going over anyway kelly

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2016 17:35

Oh I am in a heap here after splitting my sides laughing. It's a good job that CJ, although very real to us, is fictional because the thought of any real life man having such a weight of expectation on his shoulders in relation to his..ahem.. skills, stamina and work rate would send even James Bond into free fall. I expect he would need 12 months in one of those Swiss clinics if half of what was expected was fulfilled...problem is I can see the place being run by an enigmatic Frau Doctor Woof who believes in very unusual treatments!!

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2016 23:13

Oh dear ladies - was it something I said? Or was there something on TV I should have watched but didn't know about? Confused Still love CJ - honest!

Actually I've been working all evening and haven't finished yet - I hate Mondays and its been a rotten one. Hope you all had a better day.

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 23:24

I'm gearing up for a horrible Tuesday rhu. Plus I have 2 evening meetings and MrP away this week. New games have been put on the iPad in preparation

Ilovelblue · 25/04/2016 23:37

I'm very late to the Monday party ladies. I've been out at the cinema with a friend - something neither of us does very often but I had free tickets from test driving a car a couple of months back. The film we wanted wasn't on at our local cinema so my friend met me at work and I drove down to a huge place about 12 miles away with a shopping centre etc. We did a bit of retail therapy and had tea before the film. The stars were Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman - some of you may have seen it reviewed on Graham Norton a couple of weeks back. It really was excellent - destroying a terrorist cell in Kenya and certainly made you think of the political and military implications. Not the type of film I would usually opt for either.

From your descriptions of your various gardens (!!), do we want CJ in checked shirt and rigger gloves or something a little more (ahem) delicate?

Rhubarb01 · 25/04/2016 23:50

Bad luck pix expect the worst and then it's usually a pleasant surprise when it turns out to be better than hoped. Some might call that pessimism but I like to think of it as realism. After all nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition unless you are a pessimist!

ilove I've seen some reviews for that film and thought it looked interesting. Glad it was good - Helen Mirren in combats?

As for CJ's apparel - sharp intake of breath - depends on the exact nature of the pruning or otherwise required. I do hope he knows his weeds from his perennials and is proficient with his dibber.

Goodnight all - here's to a better day (fingers crossed pix)

Richtea19 · 26/04/2016 06:51

pix I hope your day is better than predicted.

I think a CJ garden tour in warmer weather and then the shirt can come off. Happy to rub in plenty of sun cream, don't want any burnt bits!

Richtea19 · 26/04/2016 06:51

Oops,! Not wearing my specs!

pixieg1rl · 26/04/2016 06:54

Hmm, it's a balance between full PPE so he's well protected for the heavy lifting/hacking back elements of the job and letting him enjoy the sunshine.

I'll get the paddling pool ready so he's got somewhere to relax after giving the garden a good seeing to.

MaddieMoo82 · 26/04/2016 07:07

I'm all up for topless and shorts. He'll be plenty warm enough sorting my borders out Wink
Good idea about the paddling pool.

Ilovelblue · 26/04/2016 07:55

I'll see what CJ has to say about the garden tour. I will stick to planting I think and he can concentrate on the less hygienic areas....

Rhubarb; Helen Mirren looked ok in uniform! Must say that as the film was set in Kenya, I did think of OG quite a bit, wondering what plot TG has created. The political v military implications were things we (or at least I) don't always stop to consider.

KellyHb · 26/04/2016 10:13

Morning all.

Eek we're nearly at the end of the thread. Just done a quick Asda shop and got time for a quick breakfast before the daily boys pick up. Can't wait until Sept when I haven't got to do it anymore on a dinnertime!

Even though I've no lovely garden to speak of, I could definitely offer my suncream services too on his way oop north to Jen maybe. My fingers need a good CJ cuppage and rub workout. Shock
