I'd be able to give you a load of plants as well Maddie. Pity there's nobody who lives halfway between us! You could always come to visit when you are on holiday in the Peak District!!

moojangles · 24/04/2016 19:24

ilove you could do an og gardening tour. We have a new bit to our allotment that needs digging.
No GOT spoilers please, go to wait til Tues night to watch due to DH shift.
On an entirely unconnected note, am contempkating treating myself to a pedicure and or manicure but it is all really confusing. Any advice?

moojangles · 24/04/2016 19:35

Posted too soon. Well done to littlerichtea, you must be proud

MaddieMoo82 · 24/04/2016 19:46

Yes to the gardening tour mooj great idea! You could have a little van to drive around in ilove!! Smile

No spoilers from me mooj but am quite excited especially after seeing the trailers.

MaddieMoo82 · 24/04/2016 19:47

Oh and the only thing I know is manicure > hands. Pedicure > feet. Apart from that I have no idea!!

Richtea19 · 24/04/2016 19:53

ilove DH went to Wembley yesterday to see the game, sat behind Boris Becker! His hoping he can get a couple of tickets for the final, two days before little DS bDay so he would be so happy, but depends on the £££!!!

Your restaurant pics looked gorg, but V expensive coffee!!!!!

Love the idea of a OG gardening tour for the summer, CJ stripped to waist, aka AT with a scythe !

DS is now fired up to run a full marathon, but because of a late birthday he won't be able to qualify until 2018, but he will really try to get in through his club. It makes me feel exhausted just thinking of it. I bought a cake for him to say well done, which I mostly ate!!!

Richtea19 · 24/04/2016 19:56

Mani pedi, no idea, my hands are dreadful - and my feet are not summer ready at all, maybe I should look at having one. I did buy one of those battery pedi things, DH thought it was an abrasive vibrator!!Shock

moojangles · 24/04/2016 20:02

Abrasive vibrator!!! A very specialised clientel for that. No idea either other than hand and feet

Ilovelblue · 24/04/2016 20:03

I'm not so much into manicures as my hands are always in soil at this time of year and even with gloves, they look rough but I do have a shellac polish before holidays usually. I prefer pedicures and you can go the whole hog and have ones with heated boots, having had your feet coated in some sort of wax beforehand or just a straight getting rid of rough skin and a polish. I had shellac on my toes before going to Majorca and it's still going strong, over a month later.

I quite fancy doing a garden tour if CJ is coming along too (or BA, not fussy). Can take or leave AT but I guess my street cred would rocket up if he came along too. I could organise it like CJ's tour so that we got to see people in a sensible, logistical way depending on where they lived. Could start with Maddie and end up with Jen. Where is Jen by the way - she's been awfully quiet of late?

Yes Richtea, the coffee was a ridiculous price (as was the water at £9 a bottle) which was why we had coffee on the way back home in Grange. I did enjoy it but got cross with my friend for hyping it up so much and because she wanted to impress her colleagues tomorrow and it wasn't a patch on Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons for my 50th birthday.

Ilovelblue · 24/04/2016 20:06

Oh and I forgot to mention about the man with his thin trunk tree with women's hair like leaves. Not that I've worked out what he wanted - I don't actually care - but he is the same man who won a bottle of Bollinger at Christmas in our charity raffle and said it was rubbish, only fit to be diluted with orange juice. That's the sort of person I am dealing with. We did put him right as to the cost of a bottle of Bollinger and he changed his mind!

MaddieMoo82 · 24/04/2016 20:07

Hahahha rich I used to have one of those pedi things too. Worked well but a bit grim what it left behind. MrMads used it once so hopefully he didn't think it was an abrasive vibrator! Grin

pixieg1rl · 24/04/2016 20:27

Wow, that's a heavy duty vibrator. Maybe one of woof's more specialist lines.

Pedicures are good for making manky old hooves feet like mine look presentable, but not really worth it this time of year unless you like someone fiddling with your feet. Manicures don't really last on me but I like having nicely polished nails for a day or so. I also use it as an excuse not to do the washing up.

I've never seen GoT, I cannot imagine Smurf being menacing at all. I don't even think that poor goat was scared of him.

moojangles · 24/04/2016 20:32

Thanks for intel ladies, it's for July but I have to book soon! Feet will need help by then. Will contemplate the mani...all a bit out of my comfort zone as I really don't like being touched

MaddieMoo82 · 24/04/2016 20:36

He certainly plays the character very different pix, to the point I didn't want to watch some of it Shock

moojangles · 24/04/2016 20:37

mads, I'm the same.

icemistOBE · 24/04/2016 20:46

I hate my feet being touched so would be the manicure for me. Although my feet probably more than need it.

I love the idea of a CJ Garden Tour please put my name down Grin

Yey! Well done to your DS rich. I bet you're so proud. Smile

Glad you enjoyed your meal ilove. I'm sort of smiling at the thought of your friend keep saying to you 'it's a classy place'. Eek.

Wow mads good one on the 3 half marathons under your belt. I wish I'd done some running when I was younger but I always think I look like a penguin when I try to. Confused

Today was all about housework but luckily just finished and about to watch episode 3 of OL. Reports are Jamie's hair looks a bit more manly and less Worzel Gummidge Grin

CJ often visits my garden, usually to carry out a thorough digging followed by a good sprinkling of fertiliser, so I'm sure he'd be up for watering your lawn mads Grin

Only ever had one pedicure mooj. A group of Chinese ladies (why are they always Chinese?) gathered round my feet discussing a plan of action. They said they'd never seen such hard and gnarled skin and promptly fetched a cheese grater thingy and planed my heels for a good 10 minutes whilst chortling amongst themselves. I couldn't get out of there quick enough and have never done it again Blush Made a good job though and the French polish lasted weeks. Unfortunately my feet are back to their normal "hobbitness" now

kuiakaituhi · 24/04/2016 21:21

Re Ramsay Snow (Later Bolton): Quote from Telegraph TV pages:
"After getting his captive Theon Greyjoy excited with a couple of voluptuous escorts, Ramsay Snow severs his penis. And sends it in a box to his father."

He's a right charmer. Deals with enemies by skinning them. Alive.
Smurf's goat was lucky.

pixieg1rl · 24/04/2016 21:25

Looks like they're hitting the wine trail (lucky buggers); do they ever do any bloody work? Grumble grumble...

Ilovelblue · 24/04/2016 21:35

Kelly I think I was almost programming myself psychologically that I wouldn't rave about the place because my friend kept banging on about it so much. It was in a lovely setting and very unusual food combinations but if I am absolutely frank, I've been to places I've enjoyed more and as I've just said to my godson on Facebook, he would have needed to visit the chippy afterwards - no way would he have been full. (He's 6'9").

I've got my tools ready for a CJ Garden Tour. May need to hire different transport, especially if I have a couple of passengers as well. We just need to make sure CJ and AT (if you want him in attendance too) are available at the same time.

Onlygirljen · 24/04/2016 22:07

Still here ilove.

Mooj you want to get a gel polish (gelish or shellac), lasts at least a couple of weeks without chipping, sometimes 3 - 4. You do need to get it removed by the beautician though usually a good excuse to get replacement polish. I'm not that keen on pedis, but I've heard a medipedi is the absolute nuts.

Well done to Rich Jr on a great time for the 5k!!

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 14:34

I have horribly weak nails, I always think that gel nails will just ruin them. (I could be mixing the gel nails up with that treatment that was popular 10+ years ago that you had to go have filled every few weeks which basically looked like lumps of polish on your nails).

I have plenty of garden jobs that need doing; so put me down for the CJ getting our lady gardens into shape tour

Onlygirljen · 25/04/2016 16:47

Mine is an overgrown, neglected disaster area - it could probably do with some attention from CJ... the actual garden isn't in great shape either..Grin

Gel polishes are bad if you get them constantly learnt that the hard way but if you get them applied and removed properly they don't wreck the nails.
