There was a very lovely still of a topless Matthias from that film not that I went searching for such things.

Had a lovely day, Clarks was easy (except on my wallet), then went to the Botanical Gardens with DS and friends. Lots of walking, I'm shattered.

While we were in town MrP dragged me into the army surplus shop; oi Oi I thought, maybe he wants to get into a bit of fantasy role play, unfortunately he was looking for waterproof trousers, this was as close as I got to the combats. Might pop in and get some as a bit of a birthday present to myself.

Ahhhh so close pix...

Ilovelblue · 25/03/2016 22:01

Richtea and Maddie - thank you that's so kind. I do enjoy gardening! It's been really hard with the bad weather we've had to try and get it looking halfway decent. I ache all over tonight but I think that was down to digging out one of my compost heaps. Still another one to go but that won't be for a few weeks yet.

Richtea did that heuchera I gave you when you were up here survive ok? It looks lovely in a pot during the summer.

I did have a little sleep.... which lasted an hour! Either I was very tired, the wine was very strong or I am a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. All of them really.

orphan · 25/03/2016 23:56

pix I've been in Cambridge today and spent quite a while watching the punts and the inevitable collisions. Dd and I laughed when we spotted one punt guide wearing enormous blue plastic glove/gauntlets, the sort of thing you might put on to deal with a particularly nasty toilet blockage...

Had lunch and aperol spritzes at Jamie's Italian where I embarrassed dd by apparently smiling in a funny way at the waiter I think a leer might have slipped out Blush

pixieg1rl · 26/03/2016 06:27

Beautiful day for a punt orph. The station was heaving with day trippers when we passed. I hope you had a great day.

MaddieMoo82 · 26/03/2016 08:33

Morning all Smile

Blooming horrible weather today! What a change from yesterday!!! Excitement of some food shopping today, MrMads has requested roast lamb tomorrow so need all the bits for that. Might pop over and see my parents this afternoon but no other plans apart tons of washing!
Hope everyone has a lovely day Smile

Ilovelblue · 26/03/2016 09:01

Morning all. Windy here today. The rain is supposed to reach us later this morning. Ache all over from digging out my compost heap. I am still in bed supposedly reading the paper but one of the cats is on my knee so I've given up and come on here instead.

Off out with a friend later. It's an Easter Saturday tradition for us. At least there's no cooking to do today.

Ilovelblue · 26/03/2016 09:02

PS lovely update from Rhubarb.

KellyHb · 26/03/2016 09:03

Morning all

Terribly sorry apsara about your loss. Yes it sounds like a peaceful way to go. Hugs to you Flowers

I fell asleep early last night. Too much ironing and walks wore me out.

I've drawn the short straw and am taking DD to football this morning. It looks like it's going to rain though. Typical.

I dreamt about us ladies overnight. I dreamt that we all went out for a meal somewhere and pix you were trying to sell your house and you got a phonecall from the estate agent as you had a buyer and she was messing you around regarding the sale. Very weird dream. Hmm

Lovely pics mads on your fb. Lovely views.

So near yet so far pix re: army shop. I would love it DH wanted to venture into one. Fat chance.

MaddieMoo82 · 26/03/2016 09:16

Yes ilove, rhus new story is great Smile. Are you going someone nice?
Thanks kelly it was a lovely and only about an hour from here. Hope you don't get too wet today!

MaddieMoo82 · 26/03/2016 09:17

Sounds like a very random dream too! Smile

pixieg1rl · 26/03/2016 09:29

Oh god, I'm so tired. We walked miles and miles yesterday and DS still woke up at 5:45. MrP is out birdwatching all day, I think a trip to the posh soft play to drink lattes and read my book is in order.

I hope that dream isn't a premonition Kelly, I never want to move house again.

Ilovelblue · 26/03/2016 09:50

We always go to the same place Maddie so I guess we like it but I was there about a month ago forgetting Easter wasn't far away so it won't have changed much! Still it's a nice drive up there and the shops are the sort you mooch around and a walk by the river if the weather behaves.

MaddieMoo82 · 26/03/2016 10:15

Sounds goo ilove hope the weather holds for you. Easter Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 26/03/2016 10:16

Oops meant good! Got too excited by the Easter bunny smiley!!

KellyHb · 26/03/2016 11:36

Well we're in earlier than expected. DD wanted to leave after half an hour as it was windy and cold. I'm frozen to the bone trying to warm up.

I hate moving too pix. After just doing it once I swore never again.

orphan · 26/03/2016 11:38

Glad we had a day out yesterday as blue skies and sun seem like a distant memory today.

pix we had a lovely day thank you, once dp had recovered from his grump at discovering all the museums (the uni ones plus the Fitzwilliam) were closed. We always eat at Jamie's though - need to branch out cos I'm sure there must be lots of good places to try.

And the Archers pix ... I'm wondering if there's a Rosemary's Baby thing going on. Rob and his mother (her voice is sooo

Anyone watching Indian Summers? About to catch up on the new series, but from what I remember it could seriously do with a colonial BA or TH getting hot and sweaty in the heat.

aspara big hugs to you. I was so sorry to hear about your nan.

orphan · 26/03/2016 11:40

Don't know what happened there but meant to say Rob's mum's voice is truly creepy.

pixieg1rl · 26/03/2016 12:33

Yes, the university museums are are law unto themselves orph, they don't open on Mondays either. DS always likes the Sedgwick (dinosaurs), and I like the Anthropology one. The area around Jamie's is heaving with restaurants and despite working literally next door I never go to any of them. Must get out more, most days I'm lucky to have a sandwich at my desk.

I'm hoping we're at the turning point with the archers, I'm still catching up but I see from Twitter that Thursday & Friday were better. The Rob/Ursula axis of evil swing between real menace and pantomime villain. At least Henry seems to be the line in the sand that Helen will not allow Rob to cross. I think following her "I'll kill him!" outburst in front of Ursula it's going to end up in some kids be of trial where that phrase will be wheeled out again. I'm hoping for a bit of light relief in the shape of Shula getting drunk and inappropriate with Dr Locke at Easter, or Dan coming out as a real friend of Dorothy (rather than the boyfriend of one)

pixieg1rl · 26/03/2016 12:48

Agree about Ursula's voice. Have you heard this?
soundcloud.com/shambridge/the-birth-plan

orphan · 26/03/2016 19:19

Ooh yes pix I think that birthplan is very feasible.Apparently in a twitter poll, 66% want Rob to be castrated with a scythe. And I vote for a blunt one preferably wielded by a bare chested AT.

Am currently glugging sipping a glass of Lillet (the French aperitif which is addictively delicious not a tampon ) and pretending I'm in the south of France. I highly recommend this as a past time.

KellyHb · 26/03/2016 19:44

Ah orph I gave myself a wry smile when you mentioned Lillets. I thought of a funny story from years ago and just involves a phonecall from a customer where I used to work and a mix up of feminine product knowledge-haha!

Continuing my reading of OL tonight but DH is trying to persuade me to watch some comedy film he's recorded. I think this could be a battle of wills!

pixieg1rl · 26/03/2016 19:59

I'm reading this thread, What does everyone get from the chippie?
http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/foodandd_recipes/2600723-What-does-everyone-get-from-the-chippie

I'm a) amazed at the regional variations in chippies and b) very hungry despite having eaten my tea already.

I love a battered sausage (as I'm sure does woof), and also remembering the absolutely f-ing gorgeous sausage soda and chips I would have in Strangford when I visited my grandparents in N Ireland

KellyHb · 26/03/2016 20:04

I normally bjpuy the same for me every time I go to the fish shop pix. Battered sausage, chips, mushy peas and batter. I'm a creature of habit. I might have a quick look at thay thread. Sounds curious.

KellyHb · 26/03/2016 20:05

Whaaaaat word is bjput?? I meant 'buy'! Stoopid auto correct.
