Chicken or donner kebab and chips with salad and mayo, or a chip butty and gravy or curry sauce or haddock and chips.

Kim82 · 26/03/2016 16:20

Large sausage, chips, mushy peas and gravy or fish, chips and mushy peas. I could just eat a chippy tea now actually.

hugoagogo · 26/03/2016 16:20

I can't get anything from the chippie around here, stupid yorkshire Easter Sad

Chorltonswheelies422 · 26/03/2016 16:21

PotteringAlong · 26/03/2016 16:21

We don't go very often but usually just chips, but we have one bag of regular chips and another of battered ones. It all depends on the time though. More often than not it'll be a treat in the evening but if we decide to have them for a main meal then we might get fish or sausages, maybe some curry sauce too.

We actually wanted some the other night as we walked home from the pub but it was just closing at 9.30pm and we were too late. It's the same timing on weekends too which is a bit silly.

SheDoneAlreadyDoneHadHerses · 26/03/2016 16:30

It depends.

English chippy and I get cheese and onion pie, chips, peas, and gravy.
Chinese chippy and I get half rice, half chips, curry sauce (and depending on how hungry I am, a saveloy)

ouryve · 26/03/2016 16:32

The only one we like in striking distance is a proper fish and chip chippy. I prefer haddock and chips when they have it in.

Indecisivejo · 26/03/2016 16:35

Mmmmmm soooo hungry

Home made cheese burger (they actually make them with mince on site it's not a frozen horse burger from tesco) and chips and mushy peas

Loads of ketchup and mayo plus salt and vinegar. Have to have a Diet Coke or its all shades of wrong.

Savagebeauty · 26/03/2016 16:36

Haven't been to the chippy since I left Leeds in 1981. They are shit here.

ElizabethG81 · 26/03/2016 16:37

Pudding, chips and gravy. Yes, I'm northern Grin

NoelHeadbands · 26/03/2016 16:39

Haddock and chips wi' bits. Salt, vinegar and ketchup

Or chips and curry sauce

ShelaghTurner · 26/03/2016 16:40

Cod and chips . Had it last night and no you've made me want it again 😤

DrWhooves · 26/03/2016 16:42

Battered pizza and chips.

YakTriangle · 26/03/2016 16:56

Chicken, chips, small pot of curry sauce. Unfortunately it takes ages to wait for them to cook the chicken quarter but it's looooovely (and about a million calories)
Occasionally will share a battered cod with DH because they are way too big to eat a whole one.

Roussette · 26/03/2016 16:58

DH has plaice, I have cod (plaice is ginormous but even more batter than the cod, it won't fit on the plate). One small or medium chips between us which again is huge. No wonder it's so expensive, the portion size is for a giant.

I then need loads of tartare and tomato sauce to go with it.

MrsJayy · 26/03/2016 17:03

Oh just thinking chippy for tea i have hamburger supper with a pickle and brown sauce. Or steak pie with chips and gravy

TobleroneBoo · 26/03/2016 17:04

Sorry madison

Battered chips?!

As in, the same kind of batter as on a sausage?

Never heard of that but sounds like my idea of heaven Grin

MrsJayy · 26/03/2016 17:04

Whats a pudding?

Blueberry234 · 26/03/2016 17:04

Children's box of sausage and chips with side of mushy peas

ChesterFuckingDraws · 26/03/2016 17:08

Fish supper with salt and loads of chippy brown sauce, mmm mmm. Really fancy that for tea now.

PointlessUsername · 26/03/2016 17:08

Pasty, chips and curry sauce.

Rock,chips and mushy peas

Or

Lamb meat and chips chilli sauce.

roundmyway · 26/03/2016 17:11

Fish supper with a side order of coleslaw.
Sometimes if we are being fatties a pudding on the side (white/ black or haggis)
