...but how will we cope without Martin? Without his warmth and humour won't it be a bit bleak?

CarrotCakeMuffins · 21/11/2015 19:49

What channel is it on and what time?
Love the bridge, so very glad I saw this!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 21/11/2015 19:50

Woo!

BBC 4, 9pm then second episode at 10pm

NoahVale · 21/11/2015 19:59

horray. although she has stated on radio 2, Saga has Aspergers. i dont think we knew that before. I hope they dont go too far down that route. and yes, I will miss Martin

zippyswife · 21/11/2015 20:08

Remind me- what happened to Martin? It was so long ago!! Dh doesn't do subtitles so I'm recording to watch in the week.

Allice · 21/11/2015 20:13

Have only just realised that this is back today, can't wait. Had forgotten what happened to Martin.

NoahVale · 21/11/2015 20:20

she got martin sent to prison, he killed the man who killed his son, i believe

profpoopsnagle · 21/11/2015 20:55

6 minutes to go, have been very excited all day long!

helzapoppin2 · 21/11/2015 21:09

I feel my blank Saga stare coming on already!

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 21:13

Suitably macabre opening sequence, shagging within 2 minutes and possible sighting of actor from the Killing - this bodes well so far. Apart from the lack of Martin, he wad ace with his little chuckle.

Saga was on woman's hour recently, she was great.

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 21:17

The actress playing Saga sends her child to a gender neutral pre school. Not entirely sure what that means but it sounds very right on.

Keep missing things while typing/crocheting. Grr. Will have to rewatch on iplayer so I know what the hell is going on!!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 21/11/2015 21:17

Good evening all!

Just packed the DC's off to bed, dried my tears (poor Clara in Dr.Who) and cracked open a bottle of beer.

A few minutes behind you but delighted my Saturday nights are back on track!

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:28

MartinRohdes I know dd very upset about Clara! I missed the very beginning but will rewatching again.

I will miss Martin. I thought Saga having asperger's was implied but not explicit? In the very first episode didn't her colleagues joke about her being "special"?

Didactylos · 21/11/2015 21:34

ha ha I am on the seventh episode of the third series now!
(though I have to have my fix sent from DK without subtitles)

feels smug, promises not to drop any spoilers...
but I am really enjoying this series, theres a lot of interesting backstory being filled in

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 21/11/2015 21:35

Worth watching quirkychick still have tears in my eyes Sad

I hate when characters I like leave programmes. I hope poor Martin is ok in jail Sad

Why Saga, why?

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:35

*will be rewatching

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 21:37

I don't think Aspergers was ever said outright but there were definitely lots of conversations about it with her & Martin and some very poignant scenes where she was upset because she didn't know why people thought she was weird.

I like the fact they have 2 female lead detectives. Don't think I've seen that in a while, if ever.

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:39

Sad for Clara and Sad for Martin.

Looking forward to seeing how Saga's new partner interacts with her.

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:42

Except Cagey and Lacey! They were two female detectives .

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 21/11/2015 21:43

Scott and Bailey?

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 21:49

Oh yes of course!Blush

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 21:53

Noooooooo did not see THAT coming! How on earth did Saga?!

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:53

Gender-neutral pre-schools, is that without "girls" or "boys" distinctions? When I had Dd1, a couple of mums in our postnatal group were Swedish and shocked at the pink/blue baby clothes and said that Swedish baby/child clothes were just all brightly coloured, so no distinction.

quirkychick · 21/11/2015 21:53

Omg!!!

SeaRabbit · 21/11/2015 22:05

Oh it's good to have it back. Been watching Scandi drama so long, I can now identify Danish even though I don't understand much.

We play spot the actor from 1864 or whatever. The headmistress was familiar as was the actor playing Saga's new partner. And of course the Danish police Chief was Mor in 1864. Did we miss anyone?

CoffeeAndOranges · 21/11/2015 22:29

I thought the crazy lady who taught her daughter to punch the cushion was Nanna Birk Larsen's mum but I don't think it is now.

Saga's mum was in something - Wallander??
