Well done, no kids my biggest failing

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 21:31

Maddie CJ has been to my office before. He loved making an entrance and watching the receptionist swoon over him. That particular receptionist isn't in this week so he was able to make the grand entrance all over again and charm a different one. She was eating out of his hand within seconds.

I am with a group of our apprentices tomorrow. He can whip them all into shape. I have a feeling he will be good at that. In fact, one or two need a damn good kick up the bum.

(The apprentice thing is actually true in RL. Am also off to the physio. Pity there isn't a CJ to take along with me to that as well).

MaddieMoo82 · 16/11/2015 21:32

Ah yes same here pix we are living sin and will continue to do so much to her upset unlike DPs sister who had done everything 'correctly' Hmm

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 21:42

I am probably moaning about nothing ilove. Hopefully it'll go okay. I mean she is coming up so me and DH can have a break for an hour or two do less time for me to be informed I've done something wrong in her eyes. Hmm

Thanks ladies for your examples too. What are MIL's like eh? Although kind of similar to you pix, MILs face was a picture when I told DH to p**s right off, in front of her the other week. I amused myself with that quite happily.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 21:46

Just changing the subject, but who is keeping up with greenstuff's story? She is really piling on the angst this time. So near yet so far.

moojangles · 16/11/2015 21:51

Greenstuff is amazing. Wait religiously for daily update

MaddieMoo82 · 16/11/2015 21:54

Greenstuff is amazing. It gets to about 2.30 and I start thinking about her update each day!

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 22:08

Me too. I have to check surreptitiously on my work PC then when she's updated, I sneak off with my phone!g

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 22:41

Just a little footnote I remembered from when we were talking about me getting rid of old toys. MIL is bringing up a huge box of old toys from when DH was a child for us to have. (bangs head against wall) give me strength

BK28 · 16/11/2015 23:16

pix and kel Having just emptied out my Dad's 4 bedroom house as he has gone into a home, I am now approaching everything that comes into our house with the question of 'is that needed? why did you bring that home?' In fact I am becoming quite minimalist in my approach! My DH collects everything so I have given him the smallest room in the house as a study and yes the door doesn't shut!! But we have now agreed for any family including the MIL if they' re over 75 they only get gifts which are edible or something I would like back , as in reality that is what will happen!! Kelly recycling is not a problem and I expect that DD has plenty of others - I used to get my DS to agree which toys we could send to the children who had none - teaches them some social conscience, although he has got the hoarding gene from his Dad!!

BK28 · 16/11/2015 23:23

ilove Greenstuff is milking the old emotions with this one - still think that Molly could have saved some pennies by making a phone call to CJ and saved us all some angst!!

kel say thank you grimacing, put them gently to one side, don't let DD open the box and send them discreetly to the charity shop - that is what I did. No one is any the wiser!! Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 16/11/2015 23:41

kelly put them straight from her car into yours (with the pretence of you don't want to get children over excited whilst she's looking after them) then take them straight to charity shop once she's gone....

KellyHb · 17/11/2015 00:15

Thanks for the tips BK mads a quick shove in the car boot will have to be done for the toys that 'DH may have played with once years ago' bah!!!

Sorry to hear your Dads gone into a home BK.

pixieg1rl · 17/11/2015 08:43

MrP's brother is the real hoarder of the family, he takes everything that anyone is clearing out. He has a huge 5 bed house and it's stuffed full of boxes from the loft to the double garage. He keeps broken stuff that will never work again. Despite he and his wife being in their 50s now they insisted that we return the cot to them after DS grew out of it. I was going to donate it locally, but they would rather make a round trip from Devon to pick up something they're never going to use again.

My MIL has already passed us half of MrP's Lego, she's asked her husband to get the rest out of the loft for next weekend. I don't mind the Lego tbh, I will ask the families to get them storage cubes for Xmas presents this year.

I sorted DS's toys with him a few weeks ago and like you BK we decided what should go to other children who didn't have lots of toys to play with (aka the charity shop). He seemed happy with that.

Morning all.

It takes some doing knowing my DH pix but I think MrP's brother really are expert hoarders.

Trouble is with toys DD doesn't play with, its expected for then to be handed down to the boys but they just whack each other over the heads with it for fun Confused and we end up keeping stuff for years.

I was going through the McDonalds Drive Thru this morning and there was a total CJ car in front of me. It was a black Audi S8, just a year or so old. I was drooling into my hash brown Shock No CJ lookalike driving it I'm afraid.

Ilovelblue · 17/11/2015 10:49

Morning all.

Damp and dreary in Lancashire today but at least the wind has died down with no damage as far as I can tell.

CJ hasn't come to work with me today. He's decided to go and spend the day with one of his old army pals who lives in the north of the county. That guy's network extends far and wide. Our receptionist was most disappointed when I came into work without him this morning!

Nickel45 · 17/11/2015 18:28

Been quiet on here today. I'm just off to take DS swimming ... Oh, the excitement (and no decent looking instructors :( !)

KellyHb · 17/11/2015 18:31

Just finished doing the kids tea after we've had a busy day. That means I'm on the home straight for a sit down but not for the next couple of hours Confused

pixieg1rl · 17/11/2015 19:02

Only bath and story time to go Kelly. We can do this! Confused

In the cot but not asleep Hmm and the dogs just puked on the sofa. Life is too glamourous these days

KellyHb · 17/11/2015 19:14

I think we could all do with a CJ visit, ladies.. Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 17/11/2015 19:16

Do you think he would mind the smell of a damp carpet and dog puke kelly ?... You can't smell it in the bedroom though Grin

KellyHb · 17/11/2015 20:40

Just take him straight to the bedroom mads and keep him there for a few days. I'm sure you won't mind having him there for instant naked access.

KellyHb · 17/11/2015 20:44

Good news! A new series of SAS has been announced! More opportunities for ogling Foxy Grin

Richtea19 · 17/11/2015 21:51

Is anyone watching London Spy? It's a bit weird, and a bit slow, but strangely I like it!
