Morning all.

Really windy here today. All the kids are back at school after being off Friday. They're still not that well but playing might take their mind off feeling peaky. Hmm

Thanks rich for taking CJ to the airport. You'll have to let me know when his flight's due to land. Excitement is not the word. Eek. Grin I'll have to pack DH out the way for a couple of days. He may get jealous with my loving looks at CJ if he was here.

Nice dream pix even if he is speaking German. I would love another one about him preferably with him naked

Off out now to do a few errands before I pick the boys up in a bit. I need to force myself to start buying Xmas presents but keep putting it off. Xmas is the only time I really don't like shopping for some reason. I think it's the crowds too Confused

BK28 · 16/11/2015 09:49

Kelly I'll save you the hassle of picking him up at the airport. CJ loves some nimble handling and speed, so letting him loose in a fast car will have him all warmed up for you, plus you won't have to cope with the fluster of airport parking. You can then ensure that you will be all ready and waiting for him. I know from previous tours that the neighbours will certainly be twitching at the curtains when he arrives in style at your place!! Grin

moojangles · 16/11/2015 13:04

Ooh pixie I can help with the German

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 13:54

Great work BK. Will you be coming to collect him from me to take to orphan as well?

CJ's having a whale of a time here at work with me today. He's just basking in the admiration. He even approves of the coffee we drink too.

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 14:17

Oo lovely thanks BK. It gets better and better. I'm hoping he comes to me in an Audi. Grin

What does your gay work friend think of him ilove?

I nipped into Sainsbury's earlier for bread etc and ended up buying half my Xmas shopping there Confused. I saw a Hey Duggee DVD there pix and thought of you Smile

BK28 · 16/11/2015 16:20

ilove no issues there, but will need to have an update on road conditions between you and orph as snow is forecast this weekend and some of our lower slung models wont cope so it might need to be a chunky 4x4!

Would a new Audi R8 meet your expectationKelly? It is described as having athletic handling so could be just what is required!!!

pixieg1rl · 16/11/2015 16:24

I think Kelly requires something with a good stiff suspension. Nothing too soft. Wink

And the ability to put the front seats right back if she follows along the lines of her FF Wink

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 16:49

That was the problem Maddie when I brought him up from Bath in my car. He claimed the seats didn't go far enough back!

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 16:57

Ah yes ladies, you know me too well where Audi's and CJ are concerned. Smile If we're having the full use of the Audi, then indeed we need to do along the lines of my FF. Yes pix hopefully there wont be anything soft about our Audi experience. Lots of leg room a must! But we definately need the leather seats as they will be wipe clean.

Great car choice BK.Star

pixieg1rl · 16/11/2015 19:08

Oh god, DS is playing Peppa in German. I was ok with the 'place 4 green bags on the conveyor belt' but then it started telling me off in German and got all flustered #strengesgesicht

BK thanks for sorting out CJ's transport. I've relayed your message and he is very excited. Says you are a wonderful woman! He's made tea tonight whilst I've been trying to draft out a schedule for our Christmas charity fundraising so he's worth his weight in gold. Might need to retire to bed soon though.

Kelly my gay friend spent an inordinate time around my desk today and was almost speechless when he saw CJ sitting there. I tried to work out whether the looks were reciprocated and appeared NOT to be thankfully.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 20:32

In RL, I had to get home early in order to have my vacuum serviced. When the guy had finished, I almost told him to hoover up the whole house. He was a youngish guy, late 20s probably, and a bit on the gobby side, so I had to be careful otherwise he may have taken me at my word.

When he had stripped the Dyson down, I was embarrassed how filthy it was. The filter was black. Must admit, servicing a vacuum cleaner is never at the top of my priority list.

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 20:50

Phew that's a relief ilove.

That's fab you can speak a language mooj. I wish I could. At school we were taught French and German but I used to feel sorry for the teacher as they had to spend most of their time telling off the cheeky kids in the class rather than being able to teach us.

I've had a row with DH tonight. DD found out about some of her toys (that she didn't really play with might I add) had been taken to the charity shop as we needed to have a clear out before Xmas. She tells DH who isnt happy as he never throws anything out and he thinks everything has its uses.

This wouldn't bother me but MIL is coming up this weekend and I know DD will be all dramatic and say to her 'My Mams been throwing away my toys etc' and then MIL will be questioning me too as she's not exactly backward at coming forward and DH won't back me up as he disagrees with me (such a hoarder). I just don't fancy MIL thinking I've done something else wrong in her eyes. Hmm

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 20:57

Kelly I lived in France for a while and actually trained as a bilingual secretary though the idea of doing shorthand in French these days would fill me with dread!

Kids are brilliant at playing one parent off against another, aren't they? Does your DD know how you feel about the MIL?

My MIL was an evil old bat. I'll never forget when we were engaged her telling me to wipe my feet "as that is my son's carpet". I wouldn't care but (a) it was a horrid carpet and (b) I never remember him wiping his feet! She was one of the causes of us splitting up.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 21:01

My Mum's elderly friend who foisted herself on me on Saturday has just rung to say thank you for entertaining her. I think she's possibly quite a lonely soul. At 90, I think most of her friends have popped their clogs. She had apparently been telling some of the other old codgers in the block of flats where she lives how lovely I am and how she wanted to kidnap the cats! If only she knew what I had been saying behind her back.... guess I should be feeling a bit guilty really.

KellyHb · 16/11/2015 21:05

ilove I think DD says things in all innocence to MIL. MIL might not say anything and take what she says with a pinch of salt which is probably what will happen.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2015 21:07

So you might be worrying over nothing?

pixieg1rl · 16/11/2015 21:08

I have a similar MIL Kelly MrP is an awful hoarder and his family keep EVERYTHING. I have strategic chucking out sessions every now and then. This weekend I was very hacked of with him and had a moan about him front of her, she didn't really know what to do with herself. I was probably being a bit unfair on her but she did (sort of) back me up. You cant keep kids toys forever. Although I can imagine it's a harder when you have others that can 'inherit' the toys from an older sibling

Urgh shitty old day off sucking up dirty washing water out of carpets.... Back is sore and feel a bit grim but it's kind of sorted until we can afford a new carpet Confused
Sounds like a good day with CJ ilove I'm impressed you went to work, I don't think I would have let him leave the bed house.
Mr Mads is a hoarder but at the other end of the scale. His is out of pure laziness and so I regulary chuck things of this out and he has no idea Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 16/11/2015 21:19

Oh and London grammar and birdy were on the radio today quite close together.... Was having a right old OG sing song in the car.

moojangles · 16/11/2015 21:20

kelly we have MIL visiting for what DH calls a state visit! Hope all goes well for you at the weekend. I resigned myself to disappointing mine whilst we planned our very low key wedding!!

pixieg1rl · 16/11/2015 21:27

I disappointed mine by refusing to marry MrP for her 70th birthday mooj. I won points for giving her a grandchild, even if he is 'a bastard'
