KellyHb · 07/12/2015 16:26

Enjoy Jen! Sounds like CJ's giving you a good hand already Wink

Got a pile of dishes to do but cant be arsed.

Nickel45 · 07/12/2015 17:00

RL majorly getting in the way of me being on here at the moment, but the brilliant pixie has put BAs reading from the carol service on some cloud thing (sorry pix, can't remember what it's called and on my phone in sainsbury so can't check!!).
I'm not sure of the legalities (or ethics!) of recording it, so we're keeping it off the web, just in case. I also wondered whether the Sick Children's Trust might at some point issue a recording of it, so don't want to preempt that. Mind, if you want to donate to the SCT, please do :) Anyway, if anyone wants the link please let me know and I'll send it to you. Hope you all understand xx

Back to the shopping, I've finally ordered a turkey, just the presents, cards and the rest of the dinner to get now!! We've still got ages, haven't we Xmas Confused

KellyHb · 07/12/2015 18:24

Do we need to make a new thread soon??

I've been trying to search for the video of BA's reading also looked on painteds Twitter page but can't see anything? Can anyone tell me where else I could look?

That's great you've ordered your turkey nickel. We need to but haven't looked into it yet.

pixieg1rl · 07/12/2015 19:17

Jen glad CJ is bring useful. Such a keen and eager soldier. Have booked a flight for him on Thursday - the first one out of Glasgow - as it's pretty uncertain about the trains. I have a friend who will be visiting on Sunday and she lives in south Manchester so will drop CJ off for an overnight stay with ice. After that BK, he's all yours!

Richtea19 · 07/12/2015 19:26

How is everyone with regards to flooding? Hope all is ok?

orphan Anthropolgie is one of my favourite shops!!! Always a trip to Regent Street and always lower ground where the sale room is!! They have just opened a small store in my local shopping centre, no sale rail though :(

Jen enjoy CJ !!

cherin we miss your festive stags with holly on antlers!

Nickel45 · 07/12/2015 19:26

I can't get them to work either kel, but was assuming it was just me, even from the Twitter page. Painted, any ideas?

Speighty33 · 07/12/2015 19:28

Hi all,

So real life is crazy busy so I'm afraid I've gone back to lurking. Firstly Jen, loving your new story, totally engrossed in this as I have been with all your stuff. Any I'm not sure if Greenstuff is on here, but loving her work also. The big news in that some lucky lucky ladies go to meet the man himself, gutted, was going to go to that last year, ironically had a not moved from London to close to Ben's old stomping ground I might have gone this year. Thrilled for those who got to meet him (if a little envious) he looked amazing and sounds so so lovely. Did anyone ask him is he is going to be in the new series and also was he there with anyone?

Onlygirljen · 07/12/2015 20:22

Haven't had a chance to enjoy CJ this evening thanks to a surprise visit from my mum to drop off DS presents, plus a lecture from her that my house contains too much junk and needs a clear out. Thanks for that mum, hadn't noticed at all, and I'm sure the bag of toys you brought for birthday presents will really help that situation Hmm. How is it that parents can manage to make you feel like total shit no matter what age you are? Confused.

Suppose she'd have been even worse if she'd ventured upstairs and noticed CJ reclined in bed ready to reenact the hospital scene with extras the mess up there.

PS - welcome back always, cherin and speighty, lovely to see you back, and ignore my pisser of a mood!

Speighty33 · 07/12/2015 20:41

Jen my mother in law has the ability to piss me off daily for something I'm either not doing correctly or not at all. I've never lived up to her high expectations I don't think. All we can do is soldier on. I'm sure if my mum was around she would be tut tutting also :)

Onlygirljen · 07/12/2015 20:48

Thanks speighty - I'm fairly used to never doing anything right by her standards, but my tolerance for putting up with it is low at the moment.

Got a feeling my night may get better, CJ is calling for a bed bath as part of the extended scene missing from the DVD..

Ilovelblue · 07/12/2015 20:59

Go for it Jen!

Ilovelblue · 07/12/2015 21:10

Just watching Nigella but she is so OTT snd loves herself.

Richtea19 · 07/12/2015 21:21

Ditto ilove "lemon lushness" for the pavlova!!!!!

Ilovelblue · 07/12/2015 21:23

I gave up Richtea before that. She just annoyed me too much.

Nickel45 · 07/12/2015 22:41

Evening, finally got kids to bed!
Hi speighty good to "see" you again :)

Alwaysfrank · 07/12/2015 22:56

No Dancy Butthole, sorry I mean Darcey Bussell, sightings at parents evening- so no need for a jealous Mr P! Perhaps the famous parents get their own private arrangements? We managed to whip through and get back in time for a birthday dinner for the boys, but a bit of a late night for them and we will no doubt pay tomorrow!

Nickel45 · 07/12/2015 23:10

OK, the reading is on a secret link on soundcloud (almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about now, eh!), PM me if you want to access it :)

Ilovelblue · 07/12/2015 23:45

Richtea, we got off quite lightly in this part of Lancashire over the weekend but any trains on the main line up to Scotland can't go any further than here. Twenty miles on in Lancaster and they have had power cuts as the main electricity substation was flooded and then Kendal was very badly affected which you've probably seen on the news. My friends who live in Grasmere were cut off on Saturday and even one of the motorway junctions was blocked. Carlisle was horrendous - some of the news reports made me want to cry and then I saw a woman being reunited with her dog and that tipped me over the edge.

Nickel45 · 08/12/2015 00:43

Found this :-)
Says it all!!!

orphan · 08/12/2015 07:36

Quick wave to speighty!

richtea I'm rather addicted to anthropolgie homeware. I usually go to the Kings Rd store and inevitably come away with another mug or plate. Their knobs are worth a look as well!

Onlygirljen · 08/12/2015 08:12

Ladies, I don't know what you lot have been teaching CJ on his travels, but he certainly has a lot of additional moves in his back catalogue. I'm sore in places I'd forgotten existed ShockShock - before you get jealous, we've only been naked playing DS's new just dance game that he got for his birthday, I'm all for clean fun and games..Hmm

Taking him to work today, this should be interesting...the ladies in my team will attempt to eat him for breakfast, and don't think the boss will react well to some alpha male competition. We do have a pretty good coffee machine, so hopefully that should keep him occupied for a while.

MaddieMoo82 · 08/12/2015 09:23

Ooh sounds like your having fun with CJ Jen no credit here for his new moves. I blame orphan and her stationary cupboard antics!

Dog still poorly here so off back to the vets this morning. Was expensive last week so going armed with the only for emergency but regularly used plastic. The only bonus is am booked in with the cute vet from last time. I bet a few ladies have shown him their puppies! Wink

orphan · 08/12/2015 18:25

Ahhh yes maddie I have some treasured memories from that stationary cupboard. Fluorescent highlighters came in handy I seem to recall.
