Where's woof got to? She's an old hand at exploits in confined spaces. I did wonder if she's been busy helping ease AT back into his role for the next series of Poldark. After all he's been out of the saddle for a while and Woof is legendary in certain circles as a 'fluffer' extraordinaire. Her dedication to the job literally in hand is unrivalled.

Aah! What a shitty day. These two boys of mine have been working every last flippin nerve of mine since lunchtime. Tuesday's are worse as DH does a college course to do with his work and doesn't get until late. Bit miserable I'm afraid.

Ah kelly feeling your pain in terms of shityness. Couldn't post yesterday as it was so rubbish I just wanted to hide in the cupboard! Sending hugs and hope you get a sit down and some chilling time soon

Me sore throughout, unfortunately not because of CJ (how comes he's never around here?? Does he not like north London? Plenty of space for his training here, and I have a deer enclosure near home!).
Anyway, worthy cause, charity thing today for a local shelter. I have seen things on those floors that humans can not imagine. But now the said floors are spic and span :-)

I only have sons so I am not sure...my impression is that mothers tend to belittle and somehow castrate their daughters, not the boys. Freud would surely have a theory about that.

The cake is wrapped in cling film and a tea towel Kelly. I'm going to have to find something before I decorate it. I have plans for the decoration that I know is a bit ambitious. My friend is a really good cake decorator, so I will get her to do it a lot of help.

I've had half of DH's box of Milk Tray mads. Oops.

I've had an annoying day as well today. We do several different fundraising events near Christmas for a local charity and have supported them for about 15 years. For a number of reasons, it's been more difficult this year, mainly down to the charity themselves not giving the support they've always done in the past. I ended up blowing my top a few weeks ago and they've since bent over backwards to help out. We have a mental target of £1,000 to hand over in December which I didn't think we were going to achieve this time, but I think we will now. We have a cake sale planned for tomorrow and that should, with any luck, take us up to our target, plus we do a plant sale in May which brought in about £350, so we are quite happy with our efforts. However, because I haven't organised a local school choir to come in (just one job too many in view of the fact I am now the only one left out of a team of four doing "real" work, the charity stuff is mainly lunch hours/spare time), she decided to bitch to anyone who would listen to her about me. Could she have offered to do it herself? Of course she could, but it's easier to pull somebody else's efforts, or lack of, as she saw it, to pieces. Guess we all know folk like that but it really rankles that out of the kindess people show in supporting our events, it's folk like her who tend to stick in your mind.

Sorry to rant.

Wow, ice we've made it to 30..who would have thought it!!

Currently 4.30 am, wide awake, nursing a torn tricep, brought about by four hours of intensive personal training, seemed like a good idea to keep mr bk entertained at the spa, and now have to go through another three days of this....feeling very whoa is me...I know in the order of things, where there are folks out there with genuine struggles it is a bit pathetic! But after this past year really needed this break to be a total relax and refresh and all I've got is pain!

Back in work again today. It's our quiet time of year so a little boring. I passed some time yesterday looking over my BA calendar, December is rather a nice picture

Who'd have thought this time last year Nickel and Wycombe would have met Ben, I'd finally have the elusive autograph (once Royal Mail deliver it) although I'm sure you'll all hear the screams of delight when it arrives

BK and big hug to you. That sounds horribly painful. That's why any spa visit for me is strictly exercise -free. My most strenuous exertion is flopping onto the lounger by the pool or heaving myself onto the treatment table. I hope the rest of your stay you're really pampered and looked after.

BK hope you feel a bit better, try to rest! I did the new Body Pump routine yesterday and this morning I'm struggling to sit on the loo and walk downstairs! The swats are hell.

I'm trying to get christmassy today. Writing cards, yawn. And putting some decs up. I suppose I ought to clean the house first, more yawn. Maybe the OG soundtrack will help my enthusiasm

I don't think cards will happen this year much like the last 5 years then. I still buy them in the hope I'll get round to it one day.

BK you do realise that the most energetic thing you do at a spa is a very slow lap of the pool when it looks like you're about to atrophy. Unless you're on a spa break with CJ, when you get to see how sweaty you can get together in the steam room. Relax with a book today.

Work from home day, and I can't get into the network again. Luckily I planned ahead and printed out a load of reading for today. Our ambitions for a flexible workforce and paperless office seem completely implausible on days like this.

Are you doing another calendar ice? I've got a voucher for photobox and I'm quite tempted to have something or someone to brighten up my desk next year.

Haven't written any cards yet and one of my friends is coming round at dinnertime to drop mine off so I'm going to have to quickly write some now!

I feel better this morning. Laughter can be the best medicine as I saw one of the mothers at school who's a friend and we had a catch up and a good giggle.

I've put off doing any exercise until after Xmas as I'm just going to spend it eating a whole load of food, drink hopefully quite a bit and ignore the fact that I'm paying for a gym membership that I've not been to for a few months. Eek!

Just come back from DD's nativity play. She was a singer but she loved it as she was one of lots of other singers and she would've been mortified if she had to stand up and do anything by herself.

The play was great but the ending was fab as some of the kids did some street dancing and attempted break dancing. Bless them. It was hilarious.

Just moved DSs cot into his own room. Should have done it a while ago but Ben putting it off... Well until last night when got fed up of him being woken by MrMads ridiculous snoring. Debating whether I can move into his room as well...
