ice what a gorgous picture of little icicle too cute!!!! I bet he's having a super fun day.

I'm about to go to my friends 5yr old daughters first ballet show. I thought it was in a church hall but it's actually in a proper theatre. I did wonder why the tickets were expensive! It will mean a can have an interval glass of something.

KellyHb · 18/07/2015 20:02

Ahh how cute is little ice. Hope he had a lovely birthday. Smile

How nice rich. I hope you're going to pretend you're sitting next to BA in the theatre and you run your fingers through his gorg CJ hair in the interval that he's got going on at the minute. Grin

Went food shopping today but pretended I had CJ with me. So many envious looks from the ladies! He persuaded me to buy a paddling pool for the garden as he fancied a wet frolic later so that's something to look forward to when kids are in bed. Wink He's going to read them a bedtime story first in his lovely soothing voice Grin

Ilovelblue · 18/07/2015 22:04

It's very quiet on here today. Not sure how you had CJ shopping with you in Gateshead Kelly because he was in Wilmslow with me, successfully persuading me I didn't need any sales bargains! Unless maybe he was with you this morning and then hijacked an army helicopter to get to me for early afternoon?

Had a very nice day as there was an artisan market on there this morning. I noticed Sean Wilson, who used to play Martin Platt on Coronation Street, had a stall selling his cheeses.

Little icicle looked as if he had a lovely day.

KellyHb · 18/07/2015 22:24

In my imagination, anything's possible ilove. Did you spot any celebs around Wilmslow? Apparently a few live round there. Some footballers too I think.

I tell you who I wish was here with me right now - anyone who can help me out of this writing funk. Sitting here trying to start this new one-shot and I've got a mental block but I definitely know which ending I want!

Ilovelblue · 18/07/2015 22:29

Didn't see any today apart from Martin Platt/Sean Wilson but we have seen Steve McDonald from Corrie and also Ken Barlow in the past. It's big for footballers round there too but I wouldn't know most of them if I fell over them.

My 6'9" godson is coming round tomorrow with his wife and baby. I last saw them when the baby was 9 weeks old and he is now about 7 months so there will be a big difference. He really makes the house look tiny because he is so tall! He can probably see dust on shelves I can't reach without a ladder but it's just tough!

pixieg1rl · 18/07/2015 22:41

I'm spending the evening with Grosse Pointe Blank, one of my favourite films of all time. God, John Cusack is ..... phew.

No hints Kelly, just take a break and let it sit in your brain for a while. It's frustrating when you only have a little time to write and when it comes nothing comes.

Do you live around those parts ilove, I used to live in Cheshire a long long time ago, and Lancs even longer ago.

Ilovelblue · 18/07/2015 22:43

Pixie I'm Lancashire born and bred but quite like shopping in Wilmslow now and again, especially if I can combine it with a trip to Dunham Massey or Tatton Park? Whereabouts did you live?

pixieg1rl · 18/07/2015 22:47

Around Macclesfield, ilove, and a few years in Bolton.

KellyHb · 18/07/2015 23:11

Yip gonna give it up for tonight. Tried for a couple of weeks. Think it's more a confidence thing in my writing really. Off to find some chocolate.

Afternoon all! Just about anyway. Gosh, a very quiet thread. Must be the start of the holidays for many and just too many activities on at weekends. Pretty much the same here as have had a few busy days. Just touching base with everyone (yes, practising my well out-dated work speak in readiness - I don't expect it will be long before someone says something that totally baffles me) If anyone has any examples of popular even if totally annoying work speak that is currently en vogue please enlighten me. I know I can rely on you all!

Rhubarb01 · 19/07/2015 12:14

Of course, I could totally baffle them by using OGisms - that would flush out any secret CJ fans. I had that moment at interview when I wondered if my interviewer might be a member of this thread and even considered using a code word - I thought saying I was a bit nervous and needed and alka seltzer this morning might have been a good start. If they seemed overcome with a fit of the giggles I would have known that I had met a kindred spirit!

pixieg1rl · 19/07/2015 12:28

Very quiet indeed. I'm feeling the lack of MrP, there was no one to do the hoovering this morning. DS is watching too much CBeebies as I've been overcome with a desire to hide in the kitchen bake.

Ilovelblue · 19/07/2015 12:30

Rhubarb my company is full of buzz words, most of which are ridiculous. One of my roles involves resourcing at the moment and they come up with more and more laughable work-speak each week. One of our senior managers who I hadn't seen for several months popped in last week and he kept saying "Oh yes, I must reach out to Mrs X" and suchlike, to the point where I said quite bluntly "You been reading some self-help manuals then?" and he did have the grace to look embarrassed.

I read a letter from a school last week too which thanked me for looking after a 14 year old who had been on work experience and they used the word "employability". Is that really a word? What's wrong with "employable"?

My godson has just gone. His little 7 month old is sooooo cute. I didn't want to let him go! My godson is 30 (just), a few months older than BA. I look at him and although he's lovely, I cannot think of him in the same way as I do BA. Probably because I've known him since he was 3 days old!

Nickel45 · 19/07/2015 13:25

rhu does your job start tomorrow?

Ilovelblue · 19/07/2015 13:56

Going to have good crops of grapes and tomatoes this year by the looks of things.

pixieg1rl · 19/07/2015 14:03

Wow, ilove, they look impressive. To think I was excited that my tomatoes had some baby fruit on them!

Ilovelblue · 19/07/2015 14:21

Do you have a greenhouse pixie? These are both grown in the greenhouse. Feel free to come and make your own wine in October......

pixieg1rl · 19/07/2015 14:40

No, we don't have a greenhouse. I'm not much of a veg grower, more just flowers. The tomatoes are because I had a grow bag spare from a few years ago. I need to cut some of the leaves from my plants, they're very leafy, even after pinching out.

Ilovelblue · 19/07/2015 14:45

Yes, I start cutting the bottom leaves from the tomato plants as the fruit starts to ripen to give more light. The grapes tend to be a bit hit and miss. They're not sour at all but they're not like supermarket grapes and the number of bunches has little to do with how good a summer we get. All a matter of luck it seems.

pixieg1rl · 19/07/2015 14:58

Shall I finish us off? See you all on number 22....
