Yes Jen hope you're having a "chuffing" good holiday!

I'm late today. It's been a really tiring day at work and I felt almost brain dead when I got home. Only stopped myself from falling asleep by making some casseroles for the freezer. Had a full departmental meeting at midday which should have lasted an hour but overran by a further hour! Lots of people just being deliberately obstructive. Our manager is a great guy and didn't shirk any of the questions but it just went on too long. The meeting I had at 1 pm therefore had to be put back and I just felt totally kn.....d by the time I came home. Sodding awful period pains don't help either. I wish they'd just stop! Roll on weekend!

Congratulations Rhubarb. Any excuse to buy new clothes is ok by me! When do you start?

Morning. Last day of term for me, roll on lunchtime

Work today then littlest birthday tomorrow. Can't believe he's going to be 2!! Anyhow someone might need to start the next thread if I'm not able to. Will try and set it up tonight (don't talk too much today lol)

Pah! We've still got til Wednesday mooj including the mind numbing end of year concert and church service for the Year 6s. Not sure I can contain my excitement at the never ending verses of songs and endless pats on the back for the Tiger Mum's children for passing Level 12 in the trombone whilst swimming a medley and beating the Brownley brothers at the triathlon all in one weekend. And all the while Tiger Mum is in the audience having got the afternoon off from running the United Nations and looking immaculately coiffed and manicured despite just preparing tonight's cordon bleu 3-course dinner for her Banker husband who's running late in the City so the Au pair is videoing the ceremony on the latest piece of kit and relaying it to him live via Skype in the Board Room. Ah yes, bless the little darling Tiger children one and all I'm not bitter

Don't get me wrong, I'm very proud of my son's Good Try sticker for finishing eighth out of eight in the egg and spoon race it's really rewarding when kids emulate their parents...

Oh woof I can understand your sentiments on that although thankfully its less auspicious in Rhubarb Land and a bit more low key. Not sure we've got any Tiger mum's round here! Grrrrr! Just been through the obligatory blubbing assembly although it wasn't too bad and did include a few laughs as well. I've got a small personal gripe but have decided I've got to just 'let it go'. Onward and upward. That's primary done with and now just the years of grunting and non-communication until the kids emerge at about 21 as hopefully reasonable adults!!

Never knew they were called tigermums. In the safety of this forum can I say that I feel the same about them

Enjoy those end of primary school assemblies, because you don't get included once they move on to secondary!!! It's a good excuse to have a ppm ..proud parent moment( smiling with tears streaming down your face)

Excitement of the day ..waiting for new shed to arrive, although upset as paid extra for a specific delivery time, not yet here... CJ would have got it here and probably erected it as well, and the shed!!!! Perhaps he could go into any form of deliver service!!!
Treat of the afternoon... Meeting up with Lola for an early afternoon chilled prosecco!!

We have them at our school for parents!

I have to admit the quiet blubber was, of course, me! Actually, it's quite a nice assembly, so I didn't mean to imply otherwise. It's a nice school and they are a great bunch of kids with a pretty nice and 'ordinary' bunch of parents - so sounds like we're fortunate.

I'd like to think my offspring give the Tiger Kids a taste of real life in their otherwise mapped-out and pampered existence. The Woofs are like the Almost Feral Alley Cat Moggies in comparison

For some reason I've now got a mental image of 'Lady and The Tramp' especially the scene where they eat Spaghetti in the alley behind the Italian Restaurant.

Indeed Rhu a good comparison - we Woofs also eat out of bowls with no cutlery and have been known to snaffle the odd meatball

Now you've got me thinking Aristocats; our school full of Duchesses, Berlioz's and Maries, then there's my DS - Thomas O'Malley slinking round the dustbins

and sleep!

So BK and I met for prosecco Friday ???????????? although she was supposed to be in B&Q! I won't tell....
2.30 is the perfect time to hit the bottle! We just needed CJ to pop the cork!
