They'd have been better spending the money on more episodes for the first series of OG!! That is, instead of cutting it short and leaving too much of it to our imagination!

SoEverybodyDance · 16/07/2015 01:29

ILOVE I love (!) the fact they cut OG short. I didn't in the beginning of course, it was bloody frustrating. But it left loads to imagine, and boy we've done a lot of imagining ever since! If they'd handed it all to us on a plate, I reckon we wouldn't have been here and on the FF site 250 or so stories later!

I have given courgettes away, but that's because we're getting four or five a day and I'm too busy pureeing and dry freezing raspberries at the moment. I know courgettes don't freeze well, so I'll be making them into soup to get round that!

God, I never imagined having an allotment would be SO exciting...

icemistOBE · 16/07/2015 06:22

Morning, finally got a chance to read cjwoofs latest chapter Grin so funny and I am very flattered to be included Smile

So, best pop some photos on.... But have no further Intel at the moment Confused

I made some great spicy chutney with yellow courgettes once - we had so much. Like we always have with rhubarb???????? I make jam with it,chutney and cakes

Ilovelblue · 16/07/2015 08:35

Dance yep, I agree we wouldn't have had all the fab ff but I was miffed we didn't get 6 episodes. Guess we may not all be on this thread though if that had been the case! Every cloud and all that.....

I'd love an allotment if I had more time but the garden keeps me pretty busy. My spuds are very good this year and the blueberries not far off ready. Toms going to be a few weeks yet, probably when I'm on holiday!

KellyHb · 16/07/2015 10:00

Oo ice love your pics but third one I particularly have a soft spot for! Just adore that shy look he has with her. Awwww!

Actually ice are you able to post that photo of the whole of 2 section in front of the Hercules aeroplane looking at the camera. Its one where LT is next to BA. Think it's taken in this country. I used to have it on my phone but can't find it. It would set me up for the day. Thanks if you can. Smile

I wish we'd one more episode of last series too. I think this one's going to be a 5 parter too I read somewhere. In my head I'd love a wedding scene in this one for our couple. Just a short one so its not stepping on MK's toes. I do think TG is a romantic.

Well the luck of the OG thread has finally rubbed off on me and I've got a job! It's part-time admin, very local to me and I'm starting in a few weeks and looking forward to a welcome change and a fresh new challenge.

KellyHb · 16/07/2015 12:42

Congratulations rhu. Star

pixieg1rl · 16/07/2015 12:59

Congratulations Rhu.

I've been in a team building morning today. Let's just say it's 3 hours of my life I won't be getting back.

cjwoofwoof · 16/07/2015 13:10

Ooh well done Rhu on the new job. So many of you ladies are going out there and being brilliant, I doff my tricorn hat to you.

Took a prang on car wing mirror today and our premises was robbed yesterday, so not much brilliance chez Woof Towers at present

KellyHb · 16/07/2015 13:11

Poor pix Team building stuff was usually really boring where I used to work however an organised night out was normally the end result so not all bad Wine. Do you have nights out with your work?

KellyHb · 16/07/2015 13:13

No. So sorry to hear that woof. Stupid question but are you okay? Did they take much? Flowers

cjwoofwoof · 16/07/2015 13:35

I'm fine kel - they don't call me Teflon Tits for nothing. Should've said it was empty business premises overnight that got burgled, not Woof Manor. Think it was druggies/kids as most of the stuff was scattered within and outside rather than taken. Just some stuff that's good scrap metal value is gone. DH was more annoyed at the time it took to sort the place out taking up valuable working time than loss of actual objects. Anyway, it's all sorted now.

My poor car was hit by a blimmin Council truck that didn't stop and I didn't have time to get reg number Angry. All happened so fast and truck was out of sight before I could gather my thoughts grrr! My poor Audi's mirror is now held together with duct tape left over from Rupert's audible crack repairs when orph went too far a while back. £450 for a replacement mirror unit so the tape will be in situ for some time!

pixieg1rl · 16/07/2015 13:42

Oh no woof, that's horrible, I hope that insurance and stuff will eventually mean that things work out, and that it isn't a major aim in the interim (I also have visions of you running a sex toy/dodgy porno emporium, so expect eBay to be flooded with 1970s hardcore featuring orph and you and several hirsute men in unlikely scenarios completely with candlewick bedspreads and bawacacca-wa-wa soundtracks).

I'm afraid we aren't even interesting enough to go to the pub in our team Kelly. All back at our desks, beavering away like the good public servants that we are....

pixieg1rl · 16/07/2015 13:47

Most council vehicles are fitted with trackers woof so they should be able to have an idea of what was about at that time. If it was a waste truck they often have CCTV on board. Absolutely worth pursuing (if you want any advice on getting info out of councils them PM me, it's sorta my job).

cjwoofwoof · 16/07/2015 14:09

Thx for the advice pix I phoned the Council on my return (not a bin lorry but a Transit type unwritten pickup) and they said their subcontracted workmen should report any accidents on return to depot, so they've taken my details. I'm not hopeful. Tbh I'm not sure the driver even realised he'd hit me as all the damage was to my mirror, humph. And as I was driving between three county borders I may have contacted the wrong Council Hmm and it may not have been Council at all, oops! Thankfully DH is sidetracked with the burglary so I haven't got the usual telling off I would normally expect, so every cloud and all that...

PS. I didn't realise you knew about my little sideline business with orph , if anything does crop up on eBay let me know pix coz those videos are usually reserved for very discerning clientele, not the highest bidder Grin

Rhubarb01 · 16/07/2015 14:21

Thanks for the good wishes ladies. My kids think I just wanted an excuse to buy a new wardrobe of clothes after quite a few years of not needing to bother. That is a nice side-effect and I think I'll take advantage of the opportunity although I might need to send a job lot of very old clothes to the Charity shop first. Am I the only person who keeps things like very old pairs of jeans because I think I'll need something to do dirty jobs or DIY when I practically never, ever do that?

Sorry to hear about the burglary and the prang woof. I saw someone else's mirror hanging off the other day (an empty parked car), clearly recently done and wondered if the perpetrator had been decent enough to leave their details.

SoEverybodyDance · 16/07/2015 15:01

No Rhubarb, you are not the only one. I keep old jeans to mend other pairs of jeans that may or may not have already been bought but might need patching in the future!

My little bleeder rips holes in his school trousers like a knife goes through soft butter. 8 pairs of trousers this year, all ripped at one knee. I cut most into shorts and kept the old legs for patching that will be needed on his new trousers next year.

My mother's a Glaswegian whose family scraped by in the depression. That's the only explanation I can think of for my madness.

Congratulations with the job, new clothes sounds like a great reason for going back to work!
