Yup, painted just like that; solves the problem of a chair shortage as well.

Rhubarb01 · 01/06/2015 22:20

just popped back. Perhaps it was misleading of me to say I was laughing at the loo thread. I was - but for all the wrong reasons. I just couldn't believe people were so worked up about loo brushes etc or could discuss something with so much passion. I guess they would say the same of us although the scope of our conversation is a little wider! They might struggle to expand their subject as much.

orphan · 01/06/2015 22:22

I'm really hoping now that's not what dp means by hot desking. Confused

pixieg1rl · 01/06/2015 22:23

There's only one man in my office. Bald. Over 50. Terminally disorganised. Smells a bit odd.

Ilovelblue · 01/06/2015 22:24

BK He's a really lovely person but it's very hard to think beyond the 25 stone at times. His wife is a midwife so you would think she would want to keep an eye on his weight. We are on the first floor of the building and by the time he has reached the stairs, he is out of breath then you see him eating bacon sandwiches and swigging Coke. No hope for people like that.

Nickel45 · 01/06/2015 23:11

Just catching up with ff, finally. painted what are you doing to me, so gripped by your story, can't wait to see what happens next, eek!

Had a very productive day, got dd a new bed, put it together, borrowed a mattress, old one to the tip ... She was really excited ... Till it got to bed time, and didnt want to sleep in it! Why do I bother!?! Off to bed for me to catch up with the rest of the ff, and to get some sleep before dd wakes me up!

Paintedcherryblossoms · 01/06/2015 23:16

Working on it nickel Wink

Gonna hit my pit now....will be asleep before the springs hit the floor

Some lovely pics of BA shared on FB page tonight - here's one

Sweet dreams all Night night x

Morning

Thread 19 is here

OP posts:
Richtea19 · 02/06/2015 07:58

Morning, thanks ice, we filled that one up quickly!

Really grotty rainy, windy day here, I feel I could just creep back into bed and snuggle with my favourite fictional character!

Nickel45 · 02/06/2015 08:01

Morning.
Thank you ice, so organised :)

I was wondering, this morning (as littlie was watching Thomas ... can't watch that in the same way any more at all ... Bleugh!), but if we ever do get a series 2, do you think all the old posters will come back ... and will we actually have to talk just about OG again rather than all the other stuff?!!! Hope not, loving the diversity! Anyway, on that thought, must get the kids to school!

orphan · 02/06/2015 08:06

Morning. Grey, rainy here too. Much rather be on Lake Como with Jake.

What a lovely pic painted. He really does have a gorgeous smile.

Ilovelblue · 02/06/2015 08:16

Drizzly and grey here. We had two inches of rain yesterday: my rain gauge is full.

Was thinking of the MN thread on toilet cleaning before. Brings a whole new dimension to CJ's threat of being on latrine clean?

Thanks for the new thread ice.

orphan · 02/06/2015 08:17

nickel I don't think I could talk sensibly anymore. My brain is completely rewired to just think in terms of cream teas and swivels!

Speaking of nonsense, where is woof? Hope she is in some tattoo parlour having her LOLS honour emblazoned across her chest. Obvs, it has to go above the Olympic rings which encircle her icebergs.

cjwoofwoof · 02/06/2015 09:10

Morning! Still here - just - RL being a pain at the mo, plus I had to make the trip to Kate to give her the wedding outfit back I wore to ices on Saturday - she needs it for Charlottes christening. Hope I haven't stretched it too much...

Thank you for all your kind words re the ff. Weirdly, I've really enjoyed writing that, so I'm thinking of doing another story along the lines of CJs UK Tour, what dya think? I may need to borrow him for many many weeks for research purposes obviously, once I've been to B&Q and bought some more chains and shackles etc, don't want him escaping like last time...

Nickel45 · 02/06/2015 09:40

Woof, I reckon you should definitely keep writing ... PLEASE!! OG v Poldark was brilliantly hilarious, and seeing as SPO has finished zombies too (grrrrr!) I need something to laugh at! So, a big yes please from me for CJs UK tour.

SPO, please write more too. I have really, really enjoyed zombies, and looked forward to the ping of it arriving, and it never fails to make me laugh out loud usually at work/school/coffee shops ... I still haven't learnt to wait to read on my own. Please can we have more?

SoEverybodyDance · 02/06/2015 10:27

Lovely picture painted thank you was it taken pre-Our Girl or not? Just wondered if he is now channelling the love for Capt James in his publicity head shots... if so he might be looking for similar roles... good news for us perhaps!

Oh dear Ilove and Orphan read both your posts in the middle of morning mad dash to get little one to school and they move so swiftly between cream teas, swivels and latrine cleans that the two posts have become uncomfortably fused in my early morning brain...

One thing's for sure, those 'latrine ladies' need to pull their heads out of their arses and get a life. I've been to some pretty makeshift loos during many years living abroad; that's a pretty depressing thread. Woofy I'd love it if they made an appearance in your next story on CJ's tour with anti-bac overalls brandishing impeccable brushes and threatening anyone who dares leave an imprint...

KeziaOAP · 02/06/2015 10:55

Not good morning wet and windy. Catching up on all the gorgeous ff. Rhubarb lovely to have four chapters to read have downloaded to kindle, that's my afternoon sorted 'Smile. jen love all the tension in the latest, look forward to them getting closer Wink. woof as always hilarious chapter.

Having looked at the loo etiquette thread the mind boggles Confused reckon we're much more sensible rational on here....... Grin

pixieg1rl · 02/06/2015 11:02

I could tell the loo ladies stories of third world toilets that would set them back a week, and those were the places which had toilets/holes in the ground/a platform over a watercourse.

Nickel45 · 02/06/2015 11:06

Kez have to say, they were never words I was expecting to hear - that we are much more sensible rational on here!!! [Grin]

SoEverybodyDance · 02/06/2015 11:08

oh Pixie we knew them as the pit bog! You'd have a wee and all the flies would come buzzing up your backside... I knew someone who fell into one of them once... perhaps the pair of us should go and join their their thread for a while!

Rhubarb01 · 02/06/2015 11:40

Oh good grief, checked over on loo thread and yes they're still going - discussing the subject I mean! Beyond belief. What about portaloos at outdoor events and festivals or toilet tents of the kind we used to have at Guide camps? The sad thing is they are still on the same argument after nearly 300 posts. I would have thought a dozen would do at most!

KeziaOAP · 02/06/2015 11:44

Nickel course we're sensible and have really meaningful discussions about a certain tv series, although a friend, couple of years younger, thinks I'm in my second childhood (she's read some of the thread) .......... I'm enjoying every minute Grin

Rhubarb01 · 02/06/2015 11:53

On a more high-brow note woof please do write another story. CJ's tour of the UK would be very amusing. I love the idea that he could strut around causing havoc (amongst other things!!) in ordinaryish lives being totally caught up in his military persona whilst everyone else tries to pass him off as a relative, a work colleague or something to explain his sudden appearance in their life.

Also, being a bit behind I caught a repeat of Graham Norton's show last night and they had Jude Law and Melissa McCarthy on discussing their new film 'Spy' in which Melissa McCarthy plays an Icemist type character sitting in a bunker behind a bank of screens controlling the Bond-like Jude Law's every move whilst wearing a headset. She ends up having to take over and be the spy herself. Have you possibly been a technical consultant on this film Ice? Naturally, you would have remained incognito.

Nickel45 · 02/06/2015 11:56

Me too Kez, this thread is the nuts :)
