Sadly orphan I reckon your second observation is more to the point.

Thanks for the tip mooj. It's definitely the uniforms. Have worked with a number of RAF officers and an ex-army major but they were always in civvies. Yes definitely the uniforms. I will add Carterton to my list for the Tuesday.

Richtea19 · 08/02/2015 11:32

I seemed to have blurred through the last 24 hours with a migrane, bought on probably with the excitement of day out with friend on Friday and then, mums birthday and new job Monday. I'm a bit of a worry person!!!! Having had my migrane tablets, I'm kind of floating now.... And how lovely to see the picture of CJ in civies. One of my favourite scenes. Yesterday I watched up to Ep3 and that was whe. We all decided there was a massive void, before the start of Ep4. I think today I will go back and read your fF pixie because I am sure that was what you did?

Mark strong last night didn't fail me, perfect voice and he was definitely doing the compare for the wrestling!

ilove so Jel about Bailbrook. Maybe we should knock up one of those blue plaques they put on the walls of buildings where famous people lived!!

orphan · 08/02/2015 12:10

Great ff updates. Thank you rhubarb and whajeb.

Sorry to hear about your migraine richtea. Dp suffers from them and his tablets turn him into a zombie - perhaps CJ and the SZS are what's needed.

Going out for lunch later, just dp and me. Will try to persuade him to recite some CJ restaurant scene lines (think the pump up suit will get a big 'no'.)

icemistOBE · 08/02/2015 13:40

Home from a freezing cold trip to the park brrr....

A few cuddles from CJ would really warm me up Grin

It's a beautiful day here, we've been out in the garden, mainly cutting back brambles and overgrown rose bushes. My hands are wrecked (I couldn't find my gardening gloves).

Nickel45 · 08/02/2015 14:30

Lovely day here too, I've sent DH to te park with the kids so I can have a bit of peace and quiet get on with the ironing.

richtea hope you are feeling better today xx

Ilovelblue · 08/02/2015 14:50

Richtea I sympathise. I occasionally get migraines too and you feel totally spaced out once the headache has lifted. Good luck for tomorrow by the way!

Did my Sunday morning bike ride today but didn't realise quite how raw it was. My eyes never stopped watering. We had fog up here earlier in the morning and it had lifted but then came down again when I was out. I've been out in the garden just generally clearing up - so much for trying to do make my hands look pretty on Friday night. Might have to get that hot wax bath out again tonight!

I've got the CJ highlights down to a fine art now. I have episodes 1-3 on the DVD player and then 4 and 5 on the recorder so I don't even need to get out of the chair to swap the DVD over! I just flick between the two and salivate all the while.

We are nearly up to the end of this thread, have you noticed?

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2015 15:22

Just checking in - no dreams of sausages or indeed anything meaty for me last night unfortunately. Why oh why can't I dream anything to do with CJ considering he fills all my daylight hours ?

Nickel45 · 08/02/2015 15:26

Me either cjwoof! Mental innit!!

icemistOBE · 08/02/2015 15:57

No episode watching for me this weekend. But school tomorrow so I should get some watched then.

I know I say it each time but it does make me go wow when we get near the end of the thread.

Thanks for the nice comments ladies, always appreciated!

I did have a dream involving CJ last night which was strange. I also realise it was partly connected to something I had been watching on TV with a military theme (British army officer goes to funeral of an RUC man in Northern Ireland during the troubles) because in it BA/CJ was actually a vicar with red hair and a moustache which were obviously make-up. (Sadly not quite the same effect as the vicar in Grantchester). The weird thing was that I knew it was BA playing the part and he knew that I and others (presumably you lot but for obvious reasons I didn't see you - because I don't know what you look like) were only there because of him and that we weren't really interested in the church service and he was quite annoyed. The strange thing was that although he was an actor he was actually performing the service and behaving like a real vicar.

This is not a good image, believe me! But I also know it was genuinely just my brain unscrambling things from the day and has no deeper significance - please!!!

Nickel45 · 08/02/2015 16:25

Ooh rhubarb it must be significant that you are dreaming about us WinkGrin

Rhubarb01 · 08/02/2015 16:38

Yes, obviously you all form a significant part of my everyday RL. I definitely felt as if I was not alone in that church - that must be the real message. However, deranged you are, others are with you in spirit!

You may think this strange but I have a mental image of each of you whenever I read your posts. Some of it is formed from snippets of things you have said about yourselves, your names or other humorous comments you have posted, other stuff just comes out of my imagination. Mind you if you use the name thing that makes me tall, red and plank-like with a mop of green hair! Come to think of it that's me to a tee!

Richtea19 · 08/02/2015 16:56

Lucky you rhubarb I never seem to get a glimpse of a CJ dream. I haven't managed to read any FF today and now off to sisters for dinner but I might sneak off and have a quick read.
pixie I've been inspired by your cutting down and tidying your garden, I ventured out as it was so beautiful, had a little poke about and it's amazing how much is coming up, spring could be insight! I managed to take down our Christmas lights! I was tempted to leave them up:)

orphan · 08/02/2015 17:17

Just back. Had a really lovely lunch and a stroll in the crisp air to try and walk off my wine and too much to eat fug. Usually, January and February are my 'diet' months but something has gone badly wrong this year! Do you think CJ likes very short, rather rounded, full iceberg women?Confused

orphan · 08/02/2015 17:24

Dp is going on a ground penetrating radar course (I think that's what he called it - the sort of thing Time Team use) but when he told me in the restaurant, I had a fit of giggles (maybe wine induced) over 'penetrating'. I couldn't help thinking of CJ scenarios...Blush

WHAJEB1 · 08/02/2015 17:44

I am dying of a hangover you would really think I would know better by my age. I do blame OG as put that on quite late and kept on drinking till it was finished, though only watched 3 episodes. Still didn't dream about CJ Blush have been a fairly good mum today and did my duty in the park followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows when we got back.

Think will be starting that couch to 5k tomorrow, was that was you started with cherin?? Really need to do something!!

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2015 18:04

Wish CJ would use his penetrating radar on me several times orphan Grin

I dread to think of your vision of me Rhubarb but you wouldn't be far off if you imagined Dick Emery "ooh you are awful" lady, probably with the same 70s dress sense and 5 o'clock shadow...

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2015 18:06

...or Harry Enfield's "ooh young man" old woman, who tries to ensnare all the young male visitors to her house and jump on top of them...

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2015 18:07

...or a female version of the French and Saunders old fat men who tried to hump any inanimate object when they got aroused...

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2015 18:08

...any of those or a mixture of all three and you'd have a good vision of Woof-Woof Rhubarb

orphan · 08/02/2015 18:21

You've missed out Sid James in a dress cjwoof. Grin

Richtea19 · 08/02/2015 18:21

cjwoof I walk like Dick Emery when I wear heels! Hence forever in flats or trainers. orphan ground penetrating.... Many naughty thoughts going through my mind..

elsie3g · 08/02/2015 18:26

Hi all, thanks for checking up on me.

I would like to say that I'd been busy testing swivel chairs for strength and stability, or sourcing sixteenth century furry 'fleur de lis' patterned rugs for the AGM...but in reality just RL getting in the way of reading FF and posting on here.

Is is really odd sad that in sort bizarre part of my brain I'm actually starting to believe that the AGM is a real life event that I need to schedule into my diary?! Omg, what have you done to me!

Right off to sort the kids, then some serious FF catching up required. Plus I've picked up 'You had me at hello' that someone kindly recommended recently and have just started it, I love it already. I obviously share the writer's silly sense of humour as I was laughing out loud reading in last night. DP didn't even raise an eyebrow as I chuckled in the corner.

Nickel45 · 08/02/2015 18:42

Hi Elsie glad you are still here :) i just finished YHMAHello this morning, really enjoyed it, definitely my type of read. Thank you whoever recommended it. Lots reminded me of OG!

orphan pretty sure CJ prefers shortish, rather roundish (cuddly), full iceberg women . . . Ooh, that'll be me then :)
