Corrie thread - New thread for the New Year, time for another disaster?

New thread in time for the new year - hopefully this year will see the back of some awful characters.

I would personally like to see the following rounded up and shoved in a deep hole in the Red Rec:

Dev is going tonight and he is only just asking Julie and Mary to care for Asda and Aldi. Responsible parenting. I'm surprised he doesn't just dump them in the giant creche.

I wondered that too about Dev millimat (as well as the appalling parenting!) - this storyline seems to have happened over a couple of episodes.

Yes, the Dev storyline seems to have come from nowhere. I can understand people needing time off, but it makes no sense as a storyline. Leaving the children, who have already lost their mum, I'm not sure how long he is going for.
Just as his romance with Julie finally got started too. And is Sophie going to run the shop single handed Hmm.

Apparently Faye is going to keep the pregnancy secret till she goes into labour! Wasn't there a similar story-line years ago in Eastenders with Sonia?

I know Martin left years ago, And I think I remember David going to visit him once, but it seems as there has been no attempt to inform him about Lily, his granddaughter.
