Corrie thread - New thread for the New Year, time for another disaster?

New thread in time for the new year - hopefully this year will see the back of some awful characters.

I would personally like to see the following rounded up and shoved in a deep hole in the Red Rec:

That funeral is bizarre. Why is Gail there? Does she know the real Gavin? I suppose Gandy must have told her the truth by then. Haven't watched Monday's episodes yet but it doesn't sound like I've missed much.

No, not Lee Ryan. Wink This bloke had dark hair and was Scottish, and evicted early on. I think he used to be Ryan but may be wrong!

Lloyd's been in Spain a very long time just to sort out an arrest for the wrong car insurance!

You'd have thought too that Izzy and Katie would have noticed Faye's pregnancy weight, given they've both been pregnant themselves fairly recently. All this 'you look fine, you're not overweight' - if they looked down a bit they'd see a 7mth pregnant belly!

Had a quick look at the funeral article, can't stop laughing. The caption on one photo is 'Gail is guided into the church...'. Why!

Also, it doesn't look like guiding, more like being dragged in! Grin

On another forum, we have all kinds of nicknames for them - Michelle used to be ShinyBob, and we got so confused with Ryan that it was RealRyan and NewFakeRyan.

I like that mazylou Grin, I used to read another forum, where posters had renamed characters, in a soap, but sometimes I didn't know who they meant.
I didn't watch the soap regularly, the thread used to be far better than the soap.

Gandy might become a good character yet. Maybe in years to come, he and Steph will own the corner shop. Grin

I like Callum too. I think the storyline is tedious but as has already been mentioned, getting him instead of Kylie is a good result!

Just saw actresses who play Katy and Linda interviewed on This Morning and apparently the Linda actress, sorry can't remember her name, originally auditioned for role of Stella which went to Michelle Collins.
