Noddy do you think she gave him up for someone?

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 18:25

Agree with Noddy, maybe she gave him the scarf when she went for one of her walks. In the last episode she was looking for the fox, possibly to give it to him ? I think she knows who is responsible for taking him, still think it is connected to a parental issue, adoption or surrogacy.

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 18:28

As well, I don't think Tony beat up Greg just for a kiss, there is more to that story. In the second episode Greg and Mark exchanged a look at the hospice as if they had known each other before.

I think you're getting a bit carried away Noddy! You really think the mother gave him away???? Come on! Grin

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 18:48

Sadly Karen Matthews did.

i think the scarf was a continuity error

R4roger · 13/11/2014 19:10

so much is resting on the scarf - the house/basement for example.
And it must have been the son in the video, Nesbitt who would recognised him.

MarthasHarbour · 13/11/2014 20:27

Interesting theory regarding Emily. Did you notice that ahe went to the house. How would she know which house to go to?

And I really wish they hadn't made her so physically identical to KMcC.

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 20:33

That's so true I just assumed she would have gotten the address from Tony. On IMDB Ken Stott is not listed as being in anymore episodes, I wonder do they do this to prevent spoilers or is his character finished with, a shame if so as he is such a wonderful actor, even physically he has made himself look toad like in this.

susiedaisy · 13/11/2014 20:34

I also think the male hotelier is dodgy

MarthasHarbour · 13/11/2014 20:40

fallon at the time i thought 'what is she doing there - how did she get the address'. But i have learned from loads of other thrillers that you should listen to your gut instinct and question everything. Such as the absence of the scarf. That could be either Emily or the Hotelier. What did his wife mean by getting his brother involved - then he brushed her off telling her to let them get on with their jobs.

I am also hoping that the sex trafficking is a red herring - although Ken Stott is really grim in this (excellent actor though!)

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 20:52

Are the hotelier and the mayor brothers Martha? I have to say this is one of the best things I have watched in a long time (Criminal Justice with Maxime Peake being the last thing I enjoyed as much followed by Line of Duty). It is great to see some good drama back on the BBC, I had high hopes for The Driver with David Morrissey but it was so predictable I gave up.

MarthasHarbour · 13/11/2014 20:59

I never thought of that fallon I agree with PP's that the Mayor is also dodgy as fuck. Suspects so far:

Mayor
Hotelier
Emily
Police Liaison Officer
Ian (Ken Stott)

That last scene where Oliver was dragged off was horrendous to watch (DS is the same age). Sad

FallonColby · 13/11/2014 21:02

My suspects are - Emily, Mark and Greg (from the hospice) in it together.

The detective in prison is definitely a good guy I reckon and probably knows exactly what happened but has been shut up. You're right, the truth will probably come from him in the end, maybe Baptiste will get in touch with him.

MarthasHarbour · 13/11/2014 21:39

Yep i am totally behind the detective in prison - he has definitely been framed to shut him up. Why was he with Vincent Borg in prison? I honestly think VB and Ken Stott are red herrings.

noddyholder · 13/11/2014 21:57

I do think the mother knows where he is yes.

noddyholder · 13/11/2014 21:59

I don't think he has been abducted and think the mother is involved how is that carried away?

MarthasHarbour · 13/11/2014 22:00

noddy the more i think about it the more i agree with you.
