Spooks was brilliant for the first 3-4 series then it got really silly. The last series was awful. NW is a consistent positive throughout - think she may have come in part way through series 1?

I've just got up to date with this series and I'm sad to say, I'm getting bored of them all!

It was nice that Greg (Flora's father) turned out to seem relatively normal. I lived Caroline NOT explaining who he was to john.

It was just a fleeting thought at the end when Gillian was looking at the newspaper. His anger last week in the cafe shows he isn't all nice and prone to being nasty. Then he parades Alan round ostentatiously, saying he is his Real Father, interferes in Rafe's life by offering him the job....

Alan should get a DNA test foe definitive proof of paternity, he has just accepted it on Gary's say so.

Well he's also accepted it on the basis that he had sex with Gary's mum!

of course she could have been seeing others, but Alan wouldn't think of that would he?

Ay lad, I was sleeping with your mum, but 'appen there were others, so we'll go down DNA route!

I've starting watching last nights just now and I'm bored with it.
I think it should have ended. At series 2.

They are all getting annoying now.

Absolutely loved Flora's bio-Dad turning out to be every (geeky?) teen's dream parent.

I must say, apart from Gillian and Catherine, the real stars of this series for me have been Lawrence and Raff and the completely delightful Ellie. (Though she doesn't have enough to do.) All very different but great to watch. The Lawrence actor has definite Hollywood potential.

Is next week the final of this series? Because they neglected the canal compensation story this week - so there'll be a lot to get through next Sunday.

F it's the last one I may as well stick with it I suppose. It's just getting top daft now even though the actors are great.

I find N Walker annoying- in everything she does in any series even Spooks. Her eyes are very shifty but she comes over in LTIH as deranged- maybe that's how she ought to be, okay, but she doesn't ring 'true' for me. She seems to have 2 expressions only- zombie, dim stare and no expression, and over-excited, with nothing in the middle.

But, but, but ... Her face at the end of the conversation with the choir man - in Spooks. Or her diffidence in presenting her (earth shatteringly brilliant) idea - again in Spooks. Or the various internal wars waged between sense and sheer stupidity every single time she meets a male person in Halifax? Or, or, or ...

Sorry I find Gillian annoying too. The strange pauses in the middle of sentences is odd.

Spanish, yes, she does do that a lot. I like the character, wonder if she is meant to do this ( confidence issues maybe?) or if NW is just like it in real life!? She can pull a bloke or four though, she has 'something'.

I'm sure she did it in spooks too Frozen.

I think part of what I find so irritating about her is just that - the fact she's an irresistible man magnet. Yet she always looks smelly and dirty

I like Gillian. I find the rest of them annoying though and are getting fed up with ghosty Kate. Let the woman stay dead, there are enough complications without adding ghosts and zombies to the plot.
Alan is annoyingly saintly and it's increasingly hard to believe he was ever a hands on farmer, or maybe we wasn't and it was Gillian's exes farm. That's the trouble with long series you forget the beginning of them.

I am astonished that so many people "don't like" Nichola Walker's portrayal of "Gillian" - I think sometimes people forget that these people are acting I think NW is a truly fab actor and I do sometimes forget she's acting! Yes I'm fed up with the ghostly Kate as well - daft idea.

Amazing how quickly Caroline has got over Kate's death! And I have a feeling she might end up having a r/ship with Flora's bio dad. Love the series but don't like the fact that it's getting a bit like a soap opera with dramas around every corner.

Yes I think Gary is going to become sinister!

AND I agree with the poster who WANT'S CAROLINE'S HOUSE - so do I or I'd settle for the "granny flat."

I am confused now if Gillians ex tried to kill himself or if he had an accident and he died as she didnt call an ambulance quickly enough. Another site i look at, someone on there said she tried to kill him..!? First series she had a toy boy lover.. She is one busy woman!

Nana, I don't like Gillian, and I'm not too keen on NW in general. I'm well aware thats she's acting - I'm not sure what that has to do with liking or disliking her!

i like gillian and do get that she's an independent woman but all she ever does is tinker with that bloody land rover!!! her bed hopping antic remind me of a friend of mine (eeeee we had some japes!).

gary is a psychopath and the series will most likely end in some sort of seige scenario.

bit pissed off really. i used to like this as a nice relaxing program but now there is too much confrontation
