I am Shock at the leggings, is it just me or is there no house Martell ?
The children looks to be a really good episode, I am really looking forward to it. I think the nailed the battle at the wall, I have high hopes for the finale.

AnnaLegovah · 13/06/2014 12:42

I quite like the skater dresses, would be great for a fancy dress/GOT themed party chance would be a fine thing. The swimsuits are a no for me though!

Can't believe its the last ep on Monday. Time flies. Sad

newnametoday1 · 13/06/2014 13:54

What are we going to do for 9-12 months interim period - I could always have a baby stark (joke).

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 16:45

Oberyn is from house martell!!
I love their motto...
"Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken."

QueenOfThorns · 13/06/2014 20:31

"Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken." But not Unsquashed Sad

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 21:02

:( sadly not :(
I loved oberyn.
One thing I meant to ask you all...what do we think has happens to the blackfish!?

Trills · 13/06/2014 21:03

Only one more to go!

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 21:05

I know! So excited!! :)
Ds1 (11) keeps asking about GofT as he knows I watch it.
I was trying to explain (short version) about oberyn and his death and he has asked if he can watch the battle between him and the mountain.
Ok do you think?
He is very mature for 11 and lived battles/war etc.
I would only let him see he battle itself, nothing else obv!

newnametoday1 · 13/06/2014 21:33

I think Blackfish could make a surprise return later in one of the series? Edmure Tully is still alive also. As I have not read the books though I do not know what happens.

AnnaLegovah · 13/06/2014 22:20

Is Edmure Tully alive though? Surely when he was taken off with his new bride the Freys would have murdered him too? I also havnt read ahead in the books so dont know for sure.

Would love to see the Blackfish back. And we still dont know what happened to Benjen Stark, maybe Jon or Bran will find out north of the wall.

AnnaLegovah · 13/06/2014 22:23

Of course its totally your call christ but I wouldn't show it to him at 11. Its the goriest scene in GOT imo. Could he read the book version first perhaps?

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 22:29

I think the books are a bit too hard for him ATM.
(They get far more detailed/rambly as the series goes on IMO)
It is pretty gory is t it?

AryaOfHouseSnark · 13/06/2014 22:30

I wouldn't let an 11 year old watch the fight between Gregor and Oberyn. It's pretty gory, and there is that popping noise

Obviously you know him better than I do, but I would worry about it upsetting him and giving him nightmares.
Unless you mean to skip the very end bit ?

AryaOfHouseSnark · 13/06/2014 22:33

Saying that though, I remember watching IT, child's play and nightmare on elm street when I was a similar age, maybe a little bit older and enjoying it. It really is your call.

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 22:33

I was wondering about that...just showing him the spear action and fight scene?
I have sort of described the end to him so he knows it's gory (I think that the appeal!)

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 22:34

Oooohhhh....IT!!
I read the book and it terrified me!
Still one of my all time faves (and the reason I can't go near clowns)

AryaOfHouseSnark · 13/06/2014 22:36

Beep beep Richie.

Christwaddle · 13/06/2014 22:38

:)

Nessalina · 13/06/2014 22:42

Aww I love IT. What a book!
I first read it when I was 15, and properly freaked myself out walking home from a friend's at night - imagined there was a clown following me! God, did I run Shock

MikeLitoris · 14/06/2014 07:11

Christ ds watches GoT with me but he is 13 and has read some of the books so knows what to expect. Ds has never been the type to get nightmares over TV and film. He is more interested in how they so special effects. It's your call. You know him best.

I thought the blackish was dead but edmure was still alive? The last I remember he was locked away after the red wedding.

Trills · 14/06/2014 08:42

Edmure was off shagging his bride (with musicians playing loudly outside) while everyone else was getting killed.

MikeLitoris · 14/06/2014 11:46

I'm sure I remember one of the lannisters saying they had edmure locked up. The last we saw him was him being carried off to bed his new wife.

I think this is one of the first things I've ever watched where I have no idea how it will all end. I'm usually pretty good at guessing this stuff.

hildasmuriel · 14/06/2014 12:22

As a book reader who doesn't want to say too much all I will say is you can never second guess Game of Thrones.

newnametoday1 · 15/06/2014 10:36

To any book readers. How far through the actual books is this series? How may books are there left to serialise before Martin writes some more (George is you are listening please hurry). I have posted this sketch before but seems apt at this juncture; very funny I

Trills · 15/06/2014 10:38

In the UK, book 3 (a Storm of Swords) was divided into two for the paperback because it was too big to publish as one book, or something.

Something similar seems to have happened here - we've had 4 seasons of TV but we've just finished book 3.
