If we are doing ex-Coupling, has with Moffat before actors I think I'd love Jack Davenport, but that is highly unlikely, he's too Hollywood.

Ditto for my other favourite option, Tom Hollander - he'd be fantastic!

Andrew Scott would be the best option, I think he'd be marvellous and I actually mentioned him to DH as 'on my list' before he became a bookie's fave.

I'm open to anything, really - I have to say, I'm in the minority and didn't care for Tennant's Doctor, but that had little to do with Tennant and a lot with characterisation and storylines.

Everytime they show the trailer for the reveal-show I growl at the TV, effing teases!

Kris Marshall is the world's most annoying man, bar none.

As I said before BC will have no interest, none at all, in becoming the Doctor, it would be a major step backwards for him.

I think benedict would be way too obvious, he's pretty much played the matt smith style doctor who ( strange lookin' and quirky behavin') in sherlock already. playing the doctor would be a big yawnfest, and surely he knows that?

Inside Info (or is this general knowledge?): Mark Gatiss was asked to be the new doctor. The fact that he told my dad (my dad knows him) suggests that it is NOT MG.

They couldn't have Mark Gatiss as the Doctor, he'd have made a good one but too late now.

I'm just over the moon I can finally watch DW again after years of Matt Smith who was simply too ugly and annoying to look at or listen to.

Hopefully it will be Adam Levine.

That's a bit shallow bigbuttons! Fair enough if you don't like his acting but ugly? Fancying the actor playing the Doctor is possibly a bonus but it's not requisite.

I love the idea of Tom Hiddleston getting the part but I think it's unlikely. I'd be chuffed with Chris O'Dowd or Peter Capaldi.

I would love to see Tom Hollander as Doctor Who, (Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean).

You have to fancy him it is requisite.
