I heard the announcement for the new Doctor is at 7pm on Sunday - Zoe Ball is presenting a programme on BBc1 and Moffet and the new bod will be on it. Read it on a forum though so would have to search out a credible source.

Found it... They mention the midnight thing too, but seem to think it'll be an announcement about the Sunday Live show. Have a look here

There's absolutely nothing apart from the date of the anniversary special on the bbc site. However Twitter has got hold of it and run a marathon with supposed leaks...
If they're true it looks like the new Doctor will be known pretty soon.

I've seen a lot of speculation on other sites tonight suggesting that Chris O'Dowd will be the next Doctor.

I think Tilda Swinton should be the next Doctor - she's ace.

I'd too seen that its going to be announced at 7pm on Sunday.

Sooo excited.

Shamelessly marking place and much more excited than I should feel at this time of the night. Matt Smith was a bit of a letdown after David Tennant but I persevered and can't wait to find out what's next.
