I thought it might be an idea to start a new thread for The Reichenbach Fall since The Hounds got its thread up to over 200 pages since last Sunday!

Non-spoilery vague preview description: "Sherlock and John lock horns with their old enemy in one final problem that tests loyalty and courage to their very limits. Sherlock must fight for his reputation, his sanity and his life. But is he all he claims to be?"

BBC link for The Reichenbach Fall

Take note of the later start time of 9pm. Get your deerstalkers and spiffy pocket magnifiers ready!

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 15/01/2012 22:30

OMFG Grin !

NimpyWindowmash · 15/01/2012 22:30

Does anybody get this?

diddl · 15/01/2012 22:30

No surprises there then!

EverybodysSnowyEyed · 15/01/2012 22:30

He landed in the rubbish truck then did a body swap (in a slightly more complicated manner!)

CaveMum · 15/01/2012 22:30

Loved that!

Best show on tv! Yah boo sucks to the naysayers!

Raahh · 15/01/2012 22:31

I bet the cyclist who knocked John over is something to do with it Grin

diddl · 15/01/2012 22:31

He had to do it so that John, Mrs Hudson & Lestrade weren´t killed.

When he has killed the hitmen he can come back.

diddl · 15/01/2012 22:32

Molly helped somehow?

Suspicions were raised by Sherlock ordering John to keep his eyes on him, the cyclist bumping him down so he didn't get there straight away and the crowd not letting John hang around to take his pulse properly.

I love that it looks like he went to Molly for help with death faking!

Bloody brilliant 90 minutes of rollercoaster-tastic TV.

Phew

Poor Dr Watson, Martin F was/is brilliant as him!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 15/01/2012 22:33

I just caught the end of this and I am Very Confused. How did he go splat and then be alive watching John at his grave?? Would it have made more sense if I had watched form the beginning?

Raahh · 15/01/2012 22:33

Yep- person on bike knocks John over, so he doesn't see Sherlock do body swap with already dead Moriarty

HarrietJones · 15/01/2012 22:33

Stressful tv evening!

spikemomma · 15/01/2012 22:33

That was BLOODY BRILLIANT. I've just cried at the end!

I think Sherlock has been the best thing on tv in years. Brilliant.

I heart Watson, all the actors actually- superb. Still shedding slight tear out of left eye!

Theas18 · 15/01/2012 22:35

SDTG. No it not make any more sense!
I can only think neither moriarty or Sherlock are really dead but how??

OnlyANinja · 15/01/2012 22:35

That was a ghost at the end.

SESthebrave · 15/01/2012 22:36

Loved it!!! I cannot wait another 2yrs for more episodes!!!

I reckon Molly helped him with a combination of the cyclist and the rubbish lorry.

After all the hype though, my main emotion is relief and hope for another series :)

MissAnnersley · 15/01/2012 22:36

I think that was amazing. Totally bloody brilliant.

CaveMum · 15/01/2012 22:36

The body looked like Sherlock, with a bashed in head. Molly works in the Morgue so she'll have found someone with a similar appearance. John was too concussed to realise it wasn't really him - we never saw his face clearly.

Molly hid the body in the bin, Sherlock lands in the bin and pushes the body out. [guesses]

applecrumbleandcream · 15/01/2012 22:37

I doubt Moriarty is dead. I thought at the end they might cut to the roof top to see no body!! Molly definitely helped him SH. She must have took blood off him or something or if she did the autopsy to say it was him ... oh god ages to wait before we find out (if ever????)

Smophette · 15/01/2012 22:37

Martin Freeman made me cry- he is superb!!!!

blackoutthesun · 15/01/2012 22:38

oh cavemum you beat me too it, thats what i think

IveGotTightsOlderThanYouLove · 15/01/2012 22:41

...but why did he tell John that he was a fake? Why not to jump? To convince him that it was real? But why would he need to convince John?

So many questions!
