I've decided to watch West Wing again from the beginning. Anyone care to join me?

I watched a random episode at the weekend and gosh darn it I had forgotten just how much I love this show!

Starting tonight I'm going to start rewatching the whole thing from the very beginning. Anyone want to join me, or just generally share the West Wing love?

Oh, I love WW. DH and finished watching all 7 series again earlier this year. Not ready to start watching it again quite yet, but we will. I'm always quite envious of people who are just starting it for the first time. Enjoy!

I only ever caught the odd episode but really want to watch it properly. I'm eyeing up the boxset on Amazon...

AnnVeronica do it do it do it! It's amazing! I've laughed, I've cried and heck I've actually sort of understood the US political system!

I'm aiming for 2 or 3 episodes a night, but I just know I'll keep saying "Just one more" and up still watching at 1am!

Ooh I'm Envy. I would join you but DH and I are in the middle of the penultimate season of 24 atm. We're going to finish this and the final season then probably start WW again.

Oh, we'd love to Cave Mum but we're on our 5th or 6th time round and already up to Epi 3 of Season two - did Shadow of the Gunman last night.... catch up fast and we can compare notes each day!

I actually studied US politics for 6 months at university but learned far more about the subject from watching WW than from not paying attention in lectures.

octopus, the key is to listen to Donna's questions and Josh's answers - she's usually there to ask the 'what on earth is happening?' questions for viewers. Can be hard when the dialogue zips along!

I'm on the last series for about the 5th time. I love it and want to be CJ when I grow up. I'd forgotten about Mandy too, you're right very annoying. Haven't watched one for a week or so but will put it on tonight.

Mandy was pretty much the only bad casting decision, possibly Kate although DH detests Amy. It is the best TV show EVER. I have watched all 7 at least 20 times, I know it's sad but at least it's nowhere near the number of times I've landedApollo 13!

How strange, I started to rewatch it last night whilst ironing. I watched the first 2 episodes and yes Mandy is annoying.... So SHOUTY! I'd forgotten how beautiful Sam is and how fantastic Martin Sheen is as POTUS!

I got the box set for DP for Christmas 2008. We've only managed to watch about 10 episodes so far as it really wasn't what I was expecting.

Tbh, I think it was the cheesy music that did it for me. But I know most shows take a series or two to really hit their stride. Is it really worth going back to?

Yes Mandy was just written out at the end of S1 and never referred to again. I don't think that counts as a spoiler for those watching for the first time as she is so bloody annoying :)

Apparently Aaron Sorkin said in an interview that conveniently writing out a crappy, annoying character is now called 'doing a mandy'! She was vile.

Love WW and am relying on it getting me through the first few weeks with a newborn - come on baby, I want to get started again :)

Does anyone else watch white house coverage on the news and think "oooh I bet cj is having a tough day"? Just me then?! Blush
