I'm enjoying it

Dp who was the one who wanted to watch it is snoring on the sofa

serenity · 25/07/2010 22:12

I've been bouncing around with excitement over it for a couple of weeks, and I'm very happy that it hasn't let me down. I think it's fab

Ingles2 · 25/07/2010 22:13

oooo yes.. am enjoying this

kalo12 · 25/07/2010 22:14

not sure if i like sherlock. hope the actor becomes a bit more complex, he seems a bit one dimensional at moment, just playing 'strange'

susitwoshoes · 25/07/2010 22:15

bored already, and I loved the books and the Granada series.

Flamesparrow · 25/07/2010 22:19

Ooh forgot I had seen an ad for it. Serenity likes, therefore I will and must watch.

winstonstimpson · 25/07/2010 22:25

I think it is amazing. Loved it.

nymphadora · 25/07/2010 22:31

Loved it! And got all geeky at the Dr Who links

serenity · 25/07/2010 22:33

I'm all blushing at your faith in me, Flame

SiriusStar · 25/07/2010 22:33

Thought it was fab. Only one of three though?

Squitten · 25/07/2010 22:34

LOVED this! The guy playing Holmes is bloody amazing and rather striking Very much looking forward to next episode, just a shame there's only 3 of them.

Good to see that the Beeb can produce something good other than Being Human!

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 25/07/2010 22:34

Loved it, think the actor who is Sherlock would make a v good Dr Who.

Remotew · 25/07/2010 22:34

DD loved it, shrieking with delight. Personally passes me by. She liked the similarities with the first book.

MumInBeds · 25/07/2010 22:35

It's not normally my kind of thing but I loved it. The shooting style was fantastic and I love the casting and script. I can see it selling well overseas.

serenity · 25/07/2010 22:41

There's a few US people on my Twitter bemoaning the fact they've got to wait a few months for it to be shown on BBC America so I think it'll definitely go down well there (particularly given the fanbase for stuff like Doctor Who and Merlin that already exists)

I thought it was very cleverly done. Lots of references to the original story, different enough to be new. I'm very glad they're film length, but it does suck that there are only three. Fingers crossed it gets the viewing figures to justify another (longer running?) series.

Flamesparrow · 25/07/2010 22:44

Seriously - cannot think of anything we have disagreed on watching

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/07/2010 22:47

I read the topic from the thread above and thought this was a thread in baby names

Sorry, as you were.

MajorPettigrew · 25/07/2010 22:47

Thought it was great too - but what were the Dr Who links nymphadora??

somethinganything · 25/07/2010 22:48

Very silly. Loved it Complete sucker for anything filmed in central London anyway but thought it was fun

2shoes · 25/07/2010 22:49

loved it

jooseyfruit · 25/07/2010 22:54

mmmm Rupert Graves is lovely, esp with his greying temples.

was very good, loved Mark Gatiss character.

MrsJohnDeere · 25/07/2010 22:55

Loved it. Brilliant!

autodidact · 25/07/2010 22:57

Excellent. Nice to see the BBC on form.

DinahRod · 25/07/2010 22:59

Dh laughed at SH deducing the female officer had shagged the forensic guy based on shared deodorant and the state of her knees

A.C. Doyle forgot where JW was shot, in one story it's the leg & in another it was the shoulder - so the psychosomatic solution was amusing.

And interesting how nothing changes - JW in the originals was wounded in Afghanistan, AFAIR.
