I love this programme, didn't think I would, as I loved Jeremy Brett's Sherlock, but it has won me over.

Jeremy Brett is the epitome of SH. Even now I get shivers watching him. Very poignant too watching the later ones, you can see how ill he was.

So who would we like to see playing Moriarty? Would love it to be Paul McGann as he's almost as delicious as Rupert Graves. Notice John Sessions plays a character in the last episode, hope he doesn't turn out to be M. Great to see Una Stubbs fluttering around, only in a couple of scenes yesterday, boo.

Can't wait until he meets Moriarty.

I agree about Jeremy Brett, HE was Sherlock Holmes.

Loved this episode - much more interesting plot.

Loving Martin Freeman and developing rather a crush on BC - I think it's the voice...

I hope they are making a new series right now as I can't bloody wait to see this as a regular slot on the beeb.

Who was the actor playing Moriarty? can't find it anywhere online.

Enjoyed that, though did wonder if they'd told Moriarty to use Graham Norton as his inspiration . I did say when he appeared in the hospital, that they didn't just introduce random characters for no reason, but then decided that it was just another excuse for showing how clever Sherlock was.

I agree about Rupert Graves as well - we need more of him in future!

The last episode was definitely the best and set up well for another series!

1st one was very good.
2nd was poor. dh and I both thought it didn't compare to 1st at all.
3rd was good, but not as good as 1st.

Jim is played by Andrew Scott, just google him. Couldn't get any joy when I googled the two above, found them, but couldn't think where I'd have seen them before.

That was fabulous. LOVED the stand-off and thought Moriaty was great.

although as soon as he appeared in the lab at the beginning I said to dh 'there's the killer'. Great twist with the gay thing and fooling sherlock with the undercrackers.

Lestrade has been in lots of things (Rupert Graves) but I loved him as Young Jolyon in The Forsyte Saga - superb acting.

I missed the gay, giving him a card thing. Didn't even occur to me that the IT guy , boyfriend of woman sherlock likes, was Moriaty himself.

I am getting such a crush on Benedict Cumberbatch. I've always loved him as an actor, but this has made me a bit wibbly. His clothes are also fantastic.
